Can a furnished puppy still look flat at 4 weeks?

Hi everyone!
I’m trying to understand coat development before puppy pick day at 6 weeks and would love some breeder/owner opinions 😭
Mom is an F1B Goldendoodle and dad is a Multigen Goldendoodle. The litter is currently 4 weeks old (5 puppies total).
One puppy I really like still looks a little more flat/straight-coated right now, but the breeder says the puppy is definitely furnished.
My goal/look preference is:
soft plush fleece texture
loose wavy/shaggy teddy bear coat
not a very straight flat coat
My question is:
Can a puppy that looks flatter at 4 weeks still develop into a soft plush wavy fleece coat by 6–8 weeks or later?
Or by 4 weeks is the coat texture already pretty obvious?
I know nobody can guarantee adult coat type yet, but I’d really appreciate hearing real experiences from doodle owners/breeders 🙏
I’m probably overthinking this because I only get one pick

Goldendoodle puppies research and what I found when I actually went deeper than the listings

I started looking for goldendoodle puppies about six months ago and the research was more complicated than I expected, the goldendoodle market is enormous and has been for long enough that there's a wide range of what's operating in it.

the demand has been sustained long enough that some very polished operations have built up around it that aren't doing things responsibly, and the visual difference between them and breeders who are genuinely invested is close to zero on a website, which means the research has to go deeper than aesthetics.

what separated the breeders worth considering, they could tell me specifically which genetic panels they ran by name, and they asked me questions about my living situation before accepting any interest.

I went with crockett doodles, the health documentation was available before deposit, the placement conversation involved asking about my household specifically rather than just showing available puppies, and with my adoption assistan the contract was clear rather than full of vague guarantee language.

the research took a few months which was longer than I planned for but the difference between breeders at the top and bottom of this market is significant enough that it's worth the time.

My baby is 4 months today

She’s 7lbs as of today, I feel like she’s relatively small for a mini, how much did your baby weigh at 4 months?

Mini bernedoodle puppies, what the size difference actually means beyond just the weight

We went back and forth between a mini bernedoodle and a standard for a while and I don't think most comparison content explains what the difference actually means in practice, so here's what I found.

the size difference is obvious but it's also the least interesting part of the decision, what matters more is that the mini tends to skew curlier in coat because of the toy or miniature poodle used in the breeding, which means lower shedding on average and slightly different grooming needs, that was more relevant for me than the weight difference.

temperament tracks pretty closely across sizes which surprised me, the Bernese mountain dog loyalty and the calm indoor energy come through in both, the mini doesn't feel like a fundamentally different dog in personality terms, though individual variation within litters matters more than size in my experience.

the lifespan difference is worth knowing, smaller dogs generally live longer and minis tend to land in the 13 to 15 year range versus 10 to 13 for standards, if you're thinking about the long term that's a real consideration.

what I didn't expect was how much the breeder conversation mattered for the mini specifically, toy poodle versus miniature poodle in the cross affects final size meaningfully and not all breeders are upfront about which they use, asking about the poodle parent and looking at previous litter sizes from those same parents is more useful than any estimate in a listing.

Advice needed for extra energy and anxiety 🤎

This is my boy Thiago! He is 1.4 years old and lives in an apartment with me. He goes out daily (sometimes twice for a couple hours) and is still very energetic and sometimes anxious. At home I try to do puzzles, have slow eating plates etc.

I was wondering if anyone has any advice as to specific toys that are more mentally stimulating or certain things do to on walks (I.e. we stop a lot so he can smell EVERYTHING lol), or just overall tips for when you leave the house? He seems to get very anxious whenever I’m not on sight and I’m worried about bothering the neighbors since he also wakes up at like 5:30-6 AM 🫡🫡🫡

Thank you :) 🙏
