As a budtender, I felt like it may be appropriate to share this friendly reminder.. Licensed dispensaries are HIPPA compliant and highly regulated. While your local “Dr Smoke” may not care if you’re on FaceTime, anywhere that is legitimate will.

Why is it a big deal? Because we don’t know who you’re talking to, what you’re telling/coordinating/etc. To be frank, medicated products cannot even be in-view in non-secured areas (for a REASON - It’s against compliance and could cost the store its licensing).

So, when you’re in your local dispo and the budtender(s) ask for you to put your phone away, please know that we’re not trying to be assholes. We’re trying to protect our jobs, our store, and all of our customers. A phone call at any register is rude, let alone FT. But in a space where people are discussing highly sensitive details about themselves, their lives, their bodies, etc.? You have to be truly selfish.

I’m sorry for the not-so-fun post but it’s getting out of hand. And the “I guess I can’t be in my phone in here” complaints are tacky. NO, you can’t be. It’s not about YOU.

Edit: this goes for vaping too. Yes, people do try to vape in the stores. Don’t get butthurt when we tell you to put it away. Tf?

Edit (2): Wow. In some ways I regret making this post, but at least some of you are being honest about how little you respect the individuals selling you the product. I had hoped the med subreddit would be a little more productive - Some of yall don’t deserve recreational cannabis lol.

New Dispo questions. Hi I am planning on exiting the inner KCMO Dispensary selections due to multiple crap batches of Rosin from virtually every dispo and every brand in the Westport, Midtown, Plaza area, Basically any Dispo in KCMO Proper.

So I asked Reddit which dispos they use and most answered either KCC or Nature Med. I live very far from both and thew closest 2 are the KCC Up at I29 just by the airport and the Nature Med on NE Vivion RD (not the gladstone one, the one further south in NKC). So are these two going to be as good as the other Nature Med and the other KCC?

Also which one has first time visitor best deal? Cause that will probably be the one I go to.

I made a post here 10 or so days ago about issues with a bunch of Proper Cannabis cartridges I’ve had.

ProperBrands excellent last comment statement that they’re close to her replace to fix these issues (not something I’ve heard from their store employees, who say they almost never get complaints about cartridge hardware issues), and to email them.

I emailed them six days ago and they have yet to respond.

Just in case anyone cares.

Also, I set a flare as “review” because technically it’s a review of Proper’s customer service and there wasn’t a flare that more close to matched.

Do any of the dispensaries in stl area do good deals for medical low income patients? Proper gives 20% off and they don't stack discounts. Basically most places don't seem to do much of anything anymore.

I’ve talked to several budtenders about it to confirm my theory and they all agreed.

Everyone shops for highest THC content and nothing else. When other cannabinoids and Terps %s matter much more. So now vast majority of Breeders breed for THC content. Not for any CBD, CBG, CDN, etc. or Terpene %s. They just want to grow what’s selling. They said FUCK the medical patients who aren’t just trying to get highest THC. It’s all about $$ just like everything else.

Maybe I’m looking in the wrong places , but every dispo in my area has no CBD in the flower or vapes . And it makes my wife and I (and I’m sure many other med patients) anxious af when there’s no CBD. Defeating the purpose of the medicine entirely.

The only thing I can find that actually has CBD and high Terps is rosin (carts or actual concentrate) which are so expensive I can’t justify them all the time.
And you can get edibles with CBD and other cannabinoids but I’d rather just make my own. Due to cost.
But I can’t find the flower to do it with.

I just want some flower with CBD and high terp percentages. Some old school shit. Back when it was medical only, there were dozens of options. Now It’s like a damn unicorn.
