Jazz negotiate a deal where they still end up landing Tre Johnson off of the bench along with AJ Dybantsa the starting SG.

The Wizards hear that Peterson wants to be a PG and they are currently compromised with Trae so they decide to play cards a bit different and go with Boozer whose athleticism remarks were put to bed in the combine.

The Grizzlies land Darryn Peterson and he’s the perfect backcourt partner for Cedric Coward, all of a sudden Memphis seems more interesting.

The Bulls move back because they want to land Claxton, the Nets get Caleb Wilson as a part of the big 4 even if they didn’t land inside it from lottery.

The Hawks get Super aggressive after they learn that the Bulls and Kings are super interested in Flemings. They think about Acuff here but they can’t make that work, because defense is their identity.

The Bulls get Acuff into their laps Along with Claxton so it’s not at all a bad swap. At 7 they land Keaton Wagler who stays in IL and he’s can be a good replacement for Giddey and Demar off of the bench.

For the Kings they get a proven commodity in Giddey who can play PG/SF for them and they badly need his playmaking.

The Clippers move back after the Hawks jump up and they grab Aday Mara because he is locked in as a top 10 pick and they can replace Zubac with it.

The Mavericks grab Burries not Yaxel despite the graphics, he’s the perfect fit next to Kyrie and Flagg. They end up landing Koa Pea at 30 because he absolutely sucked at the combine.

The Bucks get Mikel Brown Jr. usually guys of his talent don’t drop to this level however he has been pretty inconsistent.

The Warriors grab Yaxel Lendeborg at PF and he’s can play center in some lineups. He will be a plug and play and potentially a wonderful Draymond replacement.

The Nate Ament train stops at OKC and if they view him having KD level upside the greatest balanced team got even scarier.

The Miami Heat draft Philon to be the sole orchestrator of the offense they have been missing since Goran Dragic.

The Pistons move Duren for the 14th overall pick and a 2027 1st via Mavericks. They draft Cameron Carr after a successful combine and play Ausar Thompson and Isaiah in the frontcourt. And Carr fixes the shooting woes outside of Cade.

The Bulls have 3 firsts which is a Luxury and Aday Mara sudden rise has dropped Steinbach to post lottery and the Bulls will gladly scoop him next to Matas and Claxton.

The Grizzlies take JQ because they want to invest in this defensive frontcourt identity they want to form, and they can start GG at PF.

OKC wants to get stronger on defense so they draft Dailyn Swain who could potentially be a day one starter and replace Dort.

The Hornets land Morez Johnson within the Top 20 and this is a miracle because he was hearing lottery rumors after the combine.

Lopez will become the first Mexican player drafted in the T20 he will be a plug and play next to Harper and Wembanyama.

The Pistons go ahead and take Christian Anderson who is arguably the best deep shooter in the class, and they have Duncan and Carr as well. He also has the ability to be big off of the bench too he’s BPA. They also sign Mitchell Robinson

Philly will take Tounde Yessoufou and he’s basically the next gen VJ Edgecombe/Jimmy Butler type with his downhill game and the Sixers instead of having one guy doing that they will have two and that’s scary.

The Clippers after landing Mara just need the guy who will form the Backcourt duo with Garland and that’s Evans. He needs to work on defense a little but he would be the reason the Clippers will be complete.

The Knicks grab a bit of a project in Cenac Jr but they need a proper center next to KAT to rim protect and play defense and that’s where Cenac can really do well.

The Lakers could not have asked for a better center to drop right into their laps. Veesar showed out in the games Caleb Wilson didn’t play and could be a wonderful third option alongside Luka and Reaves.

The Nuggets retool and add Amari Allen who surprisingly declares once he gets confirmation he will be selected in the first round. He can immidiately contribute like a Josh Hart which is desperately what this nuggets team properly needs.

Celtics add Tarris Reed jr and try trading Jaylen Brown in order gain KD and push to the ECF with White Tatum KD.

Ebuka Okorie is a first round lock, his athleticism and raw scoring is off the charts and he’s exactly the menace on defense they need next to Edwards.

The funniest part is really the Cavs selecting a player so similar to Harden in Maleek Thomas but he can learn so much from Mitchell and Tyson overall game.

The Mavericks select Peat to start with Flagg for the future so the Mavericks have the Kyrie Flagg PJ and Gafford and then Burries Christie Koa Lively for the future.

My first attempt at a NBA mock draft for this year

Notes:

I have the likes of Tanner, Bidunga, Chinyelu, Richmond, and Able returning. Tanner got hurt by the combine, Bidunga would get more at Louisville, Florida’s bringing everyone back so I’d assume Chinyelu too, Richmond would likely go if he had a first round promise, and you can flip a coin on Matt Able.

The 2nd round gets very weird cause of the lack of depth and thin international pool (4 international players drafted out of 11 total in this draft), so I kind of started throwing stuff at a wall towards the end.

My logic with Jayden Quaintance dropping is the injury concerns and that pre-draft interview where he said that Kentucky didn’t let him practice by himself (teams may or may not see that as a character issue).

I also noticed that there’s an argument for Mikel Brown at 8 instead of Mara because they need a PG, but they also need a tall dude imo.

Anyways, fire away!

Basically 3 First Round Picks This Year. 10 Man PPR & Super Flex

After multiple trades this year and last I now own picks 1.02, 1.06, & 2.01 for this years rookie draft. I played for the ship last year so am not rebuilding. I am assuming 1.01 will be Love so my question is which draft plan below would you follow?

Mendoza, Price, & Boston or Tate, Price, & Boston

Way Too Early 2027 NFL Mock Draft + Custom Draft Order Based Off My Record Predictions

I haven’t watched every player yet, so the guys I picked are mostly players I’ve seen on film — I might miss a few names.

Jazz No.2 Selection in the 2026 NBA DRAFT

The Utah Jazz may ultimately decide that selecting Cameron Boozer or Caleb Wilson over Darryn Peterson is the smarter long-term move because of the modern NBA’s emphasis on size, versatility, and two-way impact. While Peterson is one of the most polished offensive scorers in the class, many evaluators believe his style resembles an expanded version of Devin Vassell — a smooth scoring wing with strong shot creation, but not necessarily the physically dominant franchise-changing archetype teams prioritize at the top of drafts. The Jazz already have perimeter scorers and guards developing in their system, which could make a bigger forward or versatile defender more valuable to their future.

Boozer, in particular, fits nearly everything Utah has historically valued in star players. At 6’9” and over 250 pounds, he already has an NBA-ready frame and combines elite basketball IQ with efficient scoring, rebounding, and passing. Unlike Peterson, whose impact is heavily tied to scoring rhythm and offensive creation, Boozer affects games in nearly every category. He can operate as an offensive hub, initiate offense from the post or perimeter, and physically handle playoff basketball immediately. For a franchise trying to build sustainable winning basketball around players like Lauri Markkanen and Jaren Jackson Jr., Boozer’s versatility and reliability may simply project safer and more scalable over a long NBA career.

Caleb Wilson presents a different argument entirely. Wilson represents the kind of long, athletic, defensive forward that dominates today’s NBA postseason. At nearly 6’10” with elite mobility, Wilson can potentially guard all five positions while still running the floor like a wing. The Jazz could view him as the highest upside athlete in the class outside of AJ Dybantsa. While Peterson may become the better scorer, Wilson’s defensive ceiling and positional flexibility may translate better to championship basketball. Teams across the league continue prioritizing switchable defenders who can protect the rim, defend the perimeter, and thrive in transition, and Wilson checks many of those boxes already before fully developing offensively.

That does not mean Peterson lacks star potential. In fact, many scouts still believe he could become the best offensive player in the draft. However, Utah’s front office may ultimately decide that Peterson’s style overlaps too closely with players already thriving in the NBA without consistently becoming franchise-level superstars. Devin Vassell has developed into an excellent two-way scorer and high-level starter, but teams rarely build entire championship systems around that archetype alone. Boozer and Wilson offer something harder to find: elite size paired with either all-around offensive command or defensive versatility. In today’s NBA, those traits often become the foundation of title-contending teams, which is why the Jazz could prioritize them over Peterson despite his elite scoring talent.
