Trade: LV receives #3 in exchange for #5, 2028 2nd via LV, and #104.
Trade details:
Eagles receive pick 17 from the Bengals in exchange for picks 22 and 98.
Side note: Is it just me or something about KJ Bolden just makes y'all get Steelers vibes?
Does this make sense for all parties? Probably not. However I can give my very very flawed reasonings for why I would do this if I was every team:
Rockets: KD isn't getting any younger and I feel like we've seen enough of Sengun to know you can't really build around him, as he's not a very efficient scorer nor makes up for it on the defensive end, instead you retool and get a starting lineup of Allen/Jabari/MPJ/Amen/FVV with Schroder coming off the bench(this atleast allows Reed to play more offball which is good), and with MPJ being an expiring contract and Schroder being an expiring contract in 2027-28 they can optimize near future cap flexibility instead of running back a team that's most likely gonna fall short regardless, plus you get a boatload of picks.
Cavs: You move Evan Mobley to the 5, fully lean into facilitator Harden, and KD can be the secondary scorer next to D Mitch which takes pressure off of the backcourt to create offense(35yr old Harden can't be anything more than the 4th scoring option)
Nets: Right now they don't have a legitimate starting center and could very well use one that is pretty young, Sengun could be used as an offensive hub in Jordi Fernandez's offense and unlike in Houston they have the shooting and ballhandling with guys like Mikel and Demin to maximize Sengun's strengths as a player
Mavs get a young sniper with potential I guess, the Cavs do this to give the city of Cleveland what it wants, Bron and Kyrie coming back for one last ride, and the Rockets get a familiar face at PG. I couldn't really figure out the pick compensation needed so I did it w/o picks
Raps get a proven #2 shot creator next to Scottie. Denver retools with forward depth and IQ who could benefit playing of Jokic + a FRP. Grizzlies take on the bad Jakob Poeltl contract and get a 2030 FRP
Took me like 8 hours. I also have an actual final but last draft I was kinda burnt out at the end of my last year's mock with full length scouting reports and this time I just wanna do something for fun so here are the results
Quick rant sesh here:
Yes, I have the Wizards taking DP over AJ. I think it's 1a and 1b and they've been flip flopping damn near every week in my mind but after reviewing both of their film and looking at some analytics I believe the Wizards should take perhaps the most talented scoring prospect since Kevin Durant and one of the most versatile scoring prospects ever, he can score literally anywhere one needs to in the halfcourt, plus he was a solid defender in Kansas across the board and I personally believe there's more in the tank when it comes to playmaking as his role in Kansas was more tailored toward a movement shooter/iso scorer when he got a favorable matchup.
Clippers go BPA at 5 and don't think about it in my mock. I don't see Darius Garland as the long term solution at the point and nor do I see them have any hope of contention in 2027 so taking the most talented offensive PG out of the 4(him, Wagler, Flemings, Brown).
10 for Bucks was one of the toughest picks to decide, I ultimately went with Steinbach but this is the one pick where I'm unsure of what to actually do here.
11 for GS, the Warriors don't pass up Cam Carr if he's there.
I also think Quaintance's injury concerns and lack of developed offensive game will cause him to fall from the end of the lottery to the 20s similar to Jakucionis last year
Top 4 is close to a lock assuming the thing about Utah trading up is manufactured
#5. I had the Clippers taking Brown, it was between him and Wagler for 5(whichever one I didn't take would be a Net), but I think Brown has the highest upside out of the 4 guards mocked in the 5-9 range(him, Flemings, Wagler, and Acuff, not in order obviously), he also arguably has the best temporary fit next to Garland as a big guard that can play on or off the ball, has extended range from 3, and has a solid driving and playmaking game, while also being the 2nd best defender out of the 4.
#8. Flemings to ATL. I see a lot, and I mean, a LOT of people mocking Mara here at 8, I simply disagree with that, you take BPA and Flemings's ability to make life easier as a table setting PG will benefit the Hawks.
#10. Cameron Carr to Milwaukee. I think this is the highest upside pick available. He reminds me of a bouncier Devin Vassell who was a key 3&D guy in this Spurs finals run.
#11. Labaron Philon to the Bay. This one is gonna completely divide Dubs fans, and to those against it, my response is.. There's no guy outside of the top 3 that is going to immediately transform y'all into contenders. Philon has the highest upside while also having a clear role on this team as a legit secondary creator next to Steph that can score adequately at all 3 levels, is a good secondary playmaker. He's also proven he can be a nuisance defensively(freshman year) with his activity, quick hands, and agility.
#18. Bulls(trade back) for Meleek Thomas. As a Bulls fan, this is my guy in the draft. He's 6'5, elite movement shooter with promising flashes as a secondary ball handler, and he competed hard on defense. Me personally, I would rather do this than take a gamble on JQ's injury concerns and raw offensive game or Steinbach's iffy rim protection and meh 3pt shooting
#25. Tarris Reed Jr to the Lakers, an older prospect who can fulfill what Ayton was unable/unwilling to do consistently(set good screens, actually box out, roll hard to the rim, and just do all the dirty work).
#27. Christian Anderson to the Celtics, if the Celtics move of Derrick White this offseason, this can be a Pritchard replacement as PP will take over as the starting PG, and Anderson's 3pt shooting + playmaking can feast vs 2nd units at the next level.
Hey y’all, I’m doing a community mock draft for the first round of the NBA draft in which the results will be updated everyday on r/NBADraft. Since WAS voted on AJ at 1. He’s off the board. No trades either. I was inspired by someone doing this for the NFL draft.
Hey y’all, I’m doing a community mock draft for the 1st round of the NBA Draft which the results will be updated each day on this post. I was inspired by someone doing a similar thing for the NFL draft. Y’all will have a poll with 3 options(no trades unfortunately), and whichever player gets the most votes will be the pick for that spot
#1. Washington Wizards select AJ Dybantsa(F - BYU)

This is without trades, which I don't think will happen on draft night, I do think we see a team in the 20s try to trade up
Blazers new lineup:
C. Clingan
F. Camara
F. Deni
G. JB
G. Jrue
Celtics new lineup:
C. Queta
F. Tatum
F. Sharpe
G. White
G. PP
JB instantly gives them a go-to bucket when Deni's offense isn't there, and he adds to their already strong defense, as a versatile poa defender next to Jrue, Clingan, and Camara
Celtics blow it up take on Grant's bad deal, get a young, cheap, and athletic slasher in Sharpe, plus a boatload of picks
My OROY prediction: Jordyn Tyson
Explanation: I think Tyler Shough is the best pure passing QB heading into year 2 and I honestly think it will stay that way. I also think Tyson was WR1 in this draft barring injury concerns, and if you look at the actual injuries there wasn't a pattern, multi ligament tear in '22, horrific injury no doubt, however since then the other two injuries were a broken collarbone and hamstring issues. His ability to separate vs man or zone at all 3 levels of the field in addition to his body control and YAC upside give him easily the highest ceiling in this class and would walk in as the #2/1B to Olave immediately.
My DROY prediction: Caleb Downs
Explanation: I, like many people, think he was the best defensive player in this past draft. Also his archetype, the do-it-all "STAR" role (safety/big nickel that can move around the formation) is starting to become a premium in the NFL guys like Emmanwori, Branch, Hamilton, Pitre, DeJean, Lake on the Rams, and Derwin where their almost always impacting the play and I feel like DC Christian Parker will ensure he is as close to the ball as possible on every play, one play he's fitting the run, the next he's covering your slot or TE in man, and after that he's designed to take his quarter away.
My All-Rookie Team Prediction:
Offense(21 personnel they should change it to 11 or 12 personnel)
QB: Mendoza
RB1: Love
RB2: Price
WR1: Tyson
WR2: Tate
TE: Stowers
LT: Freeling
LG: Rutledge
C: Jones
RG: Ioane
RT: Fano
Defense(4-3):
DE: Bain
DT: Woods
DT: McDonald
DE: Bailey
LB: Trotter
LB: Styles
LB: Hill
CB: Delane
CB: Terrell
S: Downs
S: Thieneman
