Crossflow 19”s

Has anyone successfully downsized to a square 19” crossflow OEM set up on their MYP? Tesla says it doesn’t work, however, I’ve seen some users do it. Anyone have real experience. Does it clear the brake calipers? Seems to be the biggest concern.

Arrived at delivery center and picking up tomorrow

Super pumped about the pickup tomorrow. Making the switch after 12+ years in full size trucks.

MYP Front bumper badly scratch due to speed bump - drive slow especially with FSD

The MYP is much lower than the MY Premium and you need to be extra careful over speed bump. I was driving around some housing area where the speed bump seem higher than usual and was using FSD which was slow enough and it scratch entire front bumper. I cannot see the scratch unless I look from under the bumper and this is so sad. Just wanted to share my bad experience.

I’m never going back to gas !

For 10 years I raced V8s across 19 road courses across AZ, NV, and CA. I owned a Lexus ISF, Camaro ZL1, and a Camaro ZL11LE. I have won Time Attack competitions against advanced drivers at Laguna Seca, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Chuckwalla Valley Raceway ( 2 back to back 1st place wins ), and AutoClub Speedway. I was about as deep into it as one could get and still have a full time job. Never thought I’d get rid of my Camaro ZL11LE. I used to tell people, “ bury me in this thing “……… and then one day I was bored and curious and took one test drive. Just one. No track event. No time attack. Just one drive and I was SOLD ! I could not believe the performance, the tech, and the refinement. It made every compromise I made with my Camaro seem insane. I haven’t tracked my car in 2 years and was doing 74 miles a day in a race car.

The Tesla has blown my
mind. It has literally reset what I expect in a car. I used to think I was so knowledgeable about cars until I test drove a Tesla. I then realized I was so specialized in a very niche section of the auto enthusiast realm and had missed the info on all of the new tech.

I had no idea cars drove themselves. I had no idea they were this fast. I’ve seen videos but I have never felt anything accelerate like these cars do. ( mind you I have daily driven a 650 hp Camaro ZL1 / ZL11LE since 2017. I used to huge power )

Between the power, tech, and lack of maintenance as well as the rising cost to track a car I figured that this was the best overall vehicle by far.

So glad to be a part of the community and to have finally discovered modern driving. It’s not a ZL11LE but I don’t need to win Time Attack competitions anymore.

I’m in love with this car !

I even started a YouTube Channel called Supercharged to Supercharger to discuss the transition.

Aero shields removed

When removing something is an upgrade.

I like the way they look, caps on or off. Gonna rock these with my evbase rim protectors on the way.

Pics of matte/satin white?

I have a white on white on order, was wondering whether or not to go matte/satin (I want to do full PPF). Has anyone done it and would you mind sharing pics? Thank you!

Coming soon

What are the must have aftermarket bits? I understand you can remove the hub cap pieces of the rims. I feel like that’s a must. Any thoughts?

Model Y Performance Tires costco

About 36K miles on my Model Y and the rear tires are showing some thread. The front tires still have some life in them.

I’m debating if I should replace them all with new tires at Tesla service center vs Costco Tire center.

Cost of Michelin Pilot A/S
At Tesla: $1850
At Costco: $1709 + 10% cash back using my credit card (limited time promotion)

Question: Does Costco centers have the know how to handle the staggered tesla tires?

Any reasons I should prefer one over another?

Checked out our latest superchargers

Went and had a look at the latest supercharger installation last night and it’s an interesting layout with the stalls requiring both rear-in and nose-in parking to access the chargers. Are there any quirky charging stations near you?

2 Questions for MY 2026 Performance for mud flap and noise insulation

  1. Coming from MY Long Range 2023 model to MYP, is a huge improvement for noise proofing and suspension. Did anyone with 2026 MY Performance did any additional noise insulation?
  2. I was thinking of adding 3M weather strips to the B pillar and the frunk but wanted to get feedback if that will make it noise insulation better or just too much and overkill 😄
  3. . I had mud guard/flap for my 2023 Model Y long range and it was annoying over speed bumps especially in parking garage. Did you anyone added mud guard to the Model Y Performance? MY Performance is lower right that premium and other models?

MYP owners with aftermarket wheels and tires, post pics and reviews!

Title, getting rid of the uberturbines shortly and trying to see what setup everyone’s done, if you like it, range / comfort reviews, etc.

I’ve replaced 2 uberturbines, spent over $1k getting them fixed (cracks / bends), they gotta go!

Edit: pic for attn, while on fsd car smoked an unidentified large chunk of metal, ruined rim and tire
