Over the years mw 2 have gotten a lot of the, the voice acting for the operators is really good which is one of the reasons why I keep playing, but the footsteps could be quieter, it makes you wanna camp the entire match

My MW2 is being odd, i try to start it through steam but it doesn’t fully work. It will act like it try’s to start but then stops itself. I’ve verified all files, gone through the COD launcher and it does the same thing. Would anyone know why/how to fix this?

(I haven’t tried this with MW or MW3 yet but I can play warzone just fine)

COD in general really. But there’s times where I come back to the game and its so obvious that the game is giving me an insanely unfair advantage, only for it to do a complete 180 with the same players the next round around and I end up on or near the bottom of the leaderboard. Its to a point where I know when to stop playing if I feel the game is intentionally nerfing me for too long.

Anyone else wondering why gunfire from your squadmates as well as distant ambient weapon sounds are so quiet in MWII? You can hear enemy bullets hit near you but barely hear the squadmates right next to you fire their weapons.

MW 2019 was in my opinion the first cod in a long time where the gunfire actually sounded loud. It made battles feel big and alive sort of. But in MWII the squadmates' weapons are really "low volume" sounding again. It's all just a little bit too quiet imo

I bought mw2 digital standerd edition but i wanna upgrade to vault edition and i can't find it anywhere, not in the mw2 store and not in the ps store. I tryed asking google and didn't get a clear answer. Im i still able ti buy the vault edition or am i completely locked out of it?

I used to play Warzone a lot in the past without any problems, but I just bought the MW2 single-player campaign yesterday, and now I'm having a really frustrating issue. The game simply refuses to launch, and I get absolutely zero error messages.

When I hit play, the bootstrapper log file shows: "Success launching 'cod22-cod.exe...'". The game process appears in the Task Manager for a few seconds, but then it just completely vanishes. It's a silent crash.

Here is a list of everything I have already tried (none of them worked):

• Tried the rangrid Regedit fix (changing the ImagePath for atvi-randgrid).
• Verified the integrity of game files on Steam multiple times.
• Ran cod.exe directly as Administrator with Steam closed.
• Completely closed all background applications (including peripheral software, mod managers, and audio/spatial sound software).
• Deleted the "Call of Duty" and "Activision" folders in %localappdata% to clear the cache.
• Renamed the "Call of Duty" folder in Documents to reset all configurations.
• Disabled "Full-screen optimizations" in compatibility settings.
• Added the entire game folder to Windows Defender exclusions.
• Disabled Control Flow Guard (CFG) in Windows Exploit Protection specifically for the game's .exe.

Despite all this, the game still silently closes itself right after the bootstrapper finishes. Since Warzone used to work perfectly fine for me before, I'm really confused as to why buying and installing the single-player is causing this now. Has anyone experienced this exact issue or knows what else might be blocking the game from opening?

We may be expecting a Ricochet anticheat update or a patchfix for a few well known exploits, hoping for the best!

It’s been a week since I’ve played, and usually I can hop into a quickplay match pretty quickly (within a minute or so). Have been queuing up for at least 30 minutes with no luck. Anybody else experiencing the same? Have Fiber 1G connection on PS5. Not sure what gives 🤷‍♂️

So I just bought MW2 on battle.net and I can't even launch it because of this error. I see that reddit (or the internet in general) is filled with solutions, but none of them worked for me.

Tried "scan and repair", updating windows/graphic drivers, reinstalling, removing the COD folder from "documents", disabling overlays&3rd party software, and even disabling windows defender.

Did this issue ever get resolved? I don't have a lot of free time and dealing with these type of things is definitely not how I wanted to spend it.

hello, I play MWII on a PS5, but after doing research, I realized that it has upscaling.

is there a way to turn the upscaling off on PS5? I don’t want my game to be “enhancing“ its resolution.

Anyone else annoyed that co-op is so implemented into the achievements in this game? I really wanna platinum this game but doing the co-op missions in mw (2019) almost drove me mad and the fact that 8 achievements are tied to co-op in this game is making me not wanna platinum this game at all. Like I'm fine with co-op as a mode but forcing it into achievements is kinda annoying and considering you have to play with randoms and can't do them by yourself is the bad part
