The map voting can be very frustrating sometimes
I get Greece is a decent map, yes, but not voting for an OG MW2 map, Afghan?? Gives me the big sad

idk if its just me but in this game I never hear footstep like not even mine or guy chasing me from behind only noticed after I got hit and I dont want to be deaf and increase my volume everything in game is already too loud.
It has a big sale on steam right now and I was wondering if the multiplayer is alive and if it is good or not and if it is worth buying.
I had played MW1 (2019) when it came out and liked the campaign well enough and decided I would get around to playing through the two sequels and replaying the first one as well. MW1 held up quite well for me and I was pleasantly surprised by MW2, I liked the Cartel and Sicario feel to it all, it brought something unique to the campaigns.
What in god's name happened with MW3? I couldn't believe how bad it was. The sandbox missions were terrible and were so obviously a combination of a tutorial/marketing the battle royale multiplayer and just straight up laziness. There was no benefit to playing stealth in them, it was quicker and more fun to just gun fight through the whole thing which made it feel even lazier when you realize they just didn't feel like programing more characters into the missions with you like the rest of the campaigns.
The campaign story itself was jarring and weird. The missions felt so generic and uninspired. As someone who doesn't play the multiplayer and had to google it to find out - where the hell did Graves and Alex come from? Does no one stay dead in this series now? Alex had zero impact on the story too, so what was the point of bringing him back? It's like they completely forgot that the most impactful part of the original MW1 was the fact that all these cool squadmates get executed at the end and it hits really hard. They removed all of that. Sure, Soap dies at the end but okay, I was waiting for someone to die for three games, especially when Alex randomly showed up and I thought I was playing prequel missions at first.
And sorry, but Ghost sucks. I was interested to see more Gaz and Ghost in this reimagined series but he is so goofy in his dumb mask that he literally never takes off - not even at a bar with friends or at a best mate's funeral. He feels written by the kids who filled the lobbies in the original MW games. Ghost = cool because of his mask and no other personality traits apparently. Gaz gets sidelined completely after the first game and is just a tag along.
Side note: These games suffered hard without being able to cut away to playing as the Marines like the original series. Griggs was completely shelved after the first one for some reason and without seeing the Marines doing their work, you're left with just this patched together series of 'hot spot' special forces missions that are so barely and loosely connected that I didn't even know what we were doing half the time. The stakes of 'save the world from bombs and/or gas' over and over gets so old and stale. The world feels empty because outside of the stadium mission (which I did like), because you don't see anyone else.
I returned to cod in 2023 after taking a hiatus and bought mw3 preordered and everything. The game has 137 fuckin weapons??? That's more than Battlefield 4!
And we get ALL the goat maps, in the new graphic gloss and new cool movement.
MWZ is addicting as fuck. Menu theme goes hard.
Didn't play campaign since black ops 2.
Dunno... kinda seems S tier.
Managed to have some fun with this build, though I've never had so much frustration with a weapon.
For your own sake never use this gun (w/akimbo attachment).
6 feet of range max and the bullets trace the enemy.
Excuse the aim, trying to use mnk to prep for MW4 and when I go back to controller, it's like my first day on earth.
That mistake was increasing the base health from 100 to 150.
Some of the smaller discrepancies with an increased health pool involve weapons being less reliable, especially at range. This goes double for shotguns since they cannot function reliably. Another example is that snipers end up being untouched, thus increases the lethality of quickscopers since other weapons won't be as effective.
That being said, the biggest mistake produced from a higher health pool was the unnecessary amount of patchwork that developers had to perform. All of the mwii weapons were already tuned based on careful feedback with 100 HP. Without thinking, the developers realized (often too late) that 150 health meant those weapons were almost useless compared to newer weapons that were tuned for the higher health pool.
It's no surprise that certain MWII weapons like the crossbow couldn't kill in one shot anymore, the pistols were pea shooters, and the lever action mk2 is still by far one of the worst weapons you can use. If the health pool had remained at 100, all of the extra work could have been avoided so that the newer arsenal could be properly tuned.
That's just my opinion personally.
Just wanted to say it’s been so fun hopping on here for the first time in years. The OG map modes especially really touch me just right. The original mw2 was my favorite and being able to play on these goated maps with the smoothness and mechanics of this newer game is sick
I was like "how am I this level I only played the beta" then I was like "oh yeah I played warzone a lot" lol
I was playing on Incline earlier and noticed something wild. If you sit in a corner with a Riot Shield for a brief moment, the blowing snow starts blurring and frosting over the shield face. It only returns to normal when you kill someone. Did shg devs hide this because they secretly hate riot shields?
That’s what I play most about 90 percent of the time. I don’t care about my KD, I do whatever is possible to win, if it means jumping in the tank 10x and dying 10x to move it one check point I will but there is a high when you can turn a losing game around by doing something crazy once in a while like cleaning out the enemy team from a capture point single handedly.
Was just casually doing some camos and encountered what I'm assuming is a dev? Idk never seen this before.
I was playing a match last night, this basically ended up being my last match before bed, I was not expecting to do so well and pull off an ace
I just downloaded through game pass and I can’t find a single lobby. It’s mostly just 1-2 other players and then they leave and then it’s me alone. What’s causing this? I know the game is very populated
Also side note: I’m level 3 and half way to 4 and I’ve never played this game ever in my life so I’m not sure why that it
The MWIII campaign was short but it had its moments, but the big deal here is obviously soaps death coming out of nowhere and seemed as “bad writing”.
During the mission of his death we’re basically defusing bombs in an underground subway tunnel, everybody is high on adrenaline besides makarov who obviously knows what he’s doing showing up out of nowhere and attacking us.
As we’re defusing Makarov appears out of nowhere almost like a jumpscare and instantly shoots soap and puts price on the floor, it was fast and they didn’t have time to react as they were tryin to defuse a bomb. Soap obviously didn’t die right away, adrenaline probably kicked in and he runs and stabs him where then Makarov also riddled with adrenaline from being stabbed shoot him in the head, all of this in the matter of seconds.
The reason I prefer this death over the original is because in a real battlefield things won’t be as dramatic as getting blown out of a building and getting impaled, rather a realistic scenario if we’re trying to stop a terror attack and shit went down. In real life Soap’s death might have went the same, in just a few seconds he was gone just like real soldiers fighting in wars.
Why as soon as I join im immediately attacked and all I asked was if there were any other female players like myself who wanna team up. I said males were fine too so long as they are chill.
Im just tryna find someone to dominate with me :( im a really good player. :(
I swear to god. The spawn changes every time. You don't know where the spawn is. You spawn with your team and suddenly there is an enemy right close to you. Worst map ever. Please help
This ain't the streets bro. Nobody cares that you lost 0-6 in S and D. Is it just me or has there been an uptick in a certain demographic in COD multiplayer?
