What are your thoughts on this comparison? I think Monta is the better watch because the finishing is on pare with Rolex or Tudor. The new Longines is a hype watch but not really a great deal for the price or finishing.
Only break this out for special occasions. In love every time I do.
My biggest moan about the Noble 40 was length of the hands. All of the marketing Monta did so far was based on preproduction samples where both hands go over the markers ever so slightly, but far enough for you to say meh (picture on the right).
I then watched a YouTube review and fella did say that Monta picked up the extra length on preproduction watches and even promised to rectify it. Well, the good news is that they did. Image on the left is from their latest IG post, I believe this could be a production watch with hands being shorter and looking way more visually balanced. Although it is not ideal that Monta launched a full on marketing campaign using inferior copies.
Guys, the clasp. Too many people say the latest one (on Noble 40 and Triumph 2) is pain in the neck. Stiff enough for you to notice every time, a lot sharper than it needs to be, and overall robbing the watch of the luxury feel. Like you really need to make that finger nail work to get it open. And that you really do feel that sharp edge going into your skin.
I have rrrrreally thin skin on my hands. I was changing wiper blades on my car last winter and ended up going to ER for stitches lol. If that clasp is indeed somewhat stiff and sharp ish I’m just not going to enjoy the money I spent on the watch.
