Say someone checks in to a hospital for thoughts of self harm or self annihilation, what happens if they keep telling the doctors they want to auto-delete themselves?

Would they just stay checked into some kind of hospital?

I think that within the next ten years the US is going to see a huge number of elder people taking their own lives, rather than facing the shitty reality of dying of old age in this country. I also predict that if the current administration or one like it stays in power, it will be a phenomenon that is hugely underreported, and possibly promoted behind the scenes like the government did with crack in the 80s.

Would you choose a slower death like cancer where you can say good bye, give your love, and maybe have time to make any amends. But you would suffer towards the end, physically, mentally and emotionally knowing you will die.
Or
Would you choose to die and go quickly like a tragic accident (a plane crash) with no knowledge, no good byes, no time, but no suffering.

I know this is completely hypothetical, but do you ever think about how you might die?

For some reason, I feel like mine would either be a heart attack or drowning.

Especially drowning, because whenever I’m at a beach, waterfall, or anywhere involving water, I have a tendency to ignore people telling me to be careful and go further into dangerous areas.So I feel like one day my swimming skills might not be enough to compensate for my stupid decisions.

So what about you? What do you think will probably take you out?

I got unconscious peacefully I remembered. But I wake up in the middle, open the plastic bag that wrap my head, then sleep again. What the fuck

Like say Kurt Cobain, or Ronnie McNutt. Both of them took shotguns to their head. Is this truly just instant painless death? Or did they feel it before they did? I just wonder like what that would actually feel like, I am genuinely just curious and am not asking in a bad way I just want to make that clear.
