Image 1 — The 1966 Ford J-Car prototype testing at Le Mans. Lighter and stiffer than previous GT40 designs, Ken Miles preferred the J-Cars chassis stiffness and handling dynamics to previous iterations of the GT40 design. Unresolved aero instability contributed to his fatal Riverside crash later that year.
