People with the above mentioned rank range having dilemma and in confusion of choosing between end clinical or surgical branches

We can make a group in any social media platform for example insta or telegram to discuss various branches and all the inputs.....

Took a year drop, worked as a non PG JR, focused on building concepts and solving as many questions as possible. Studied from home, tried to have a normal sleep schedule but failed miserably lol. I’m just thankful that my efforts and support from friends and family provided me with what I had dreamed of.

I would like a honest conclusion even if it is going to hurt me for the question I have in my head ,your answer will help me move past this .
Last year i got 47k in neet pg , I was getting Psychiatry , anaesthesia , ortho , etc but i took a drop year as i felt i didn’t give 100 percent of my efforts. I started reading around January of 2026 (as i was stuck between whether I have to join pg or should I take a drop and also because i thought i will get bored as I approach the exam cause i already read and revised thrice the entire 19 subjects in 2025). For the first 4 months I read around 6-7 hrs a day and I gradually increased the duration as the days passed on and for last 2 months i read for 10-12hrs a day without missing even a single day ( for last 3 months I used “focus to do “app to count each and every minute I spent reading , i used to stop my timer even if I take a minute of break to drink water and restarted the timer later ).
I showed up every day for last 3 months even when i had a mental breakdown or exhaustion , even when i was sick , even on days where i just wanted to give up and cry . As I started the preparation in jan I built my concepts first later I completed 5 revision and did 100-130 mcqs everyday without fail . And I can’t explain the anxiety and stress that used to drag me down and bring my self esteem to the lowest , I had to pick me up everyday I felt low ( n number of thoughts I couldn’t throw out of my brain ) don’t know how many times I used to cry starting from April to let out the emotions I had . I know this preparation will not take me to 5000 rank or below but i was confident it will take me near 10-15 K atleast .
On the day of exam leaving the 10 question , I knew the subject behind every other question , I knew I studied them ,but for a considerable amount of questions I was stuck between 2 options which were so close to even eliminate , for them I put my faith in destiny believing it will help me as I prepared well ( atleast i thought i prepared well )
But the result 26K , i was numb , i didn’t know what to feel , was my preparation not enough , was I wrong , do I deserve this less of a rank with my preparation , was it my bad luck or was it my destiny .
would like an honest answer , even if it hurts me I need a closure for this to move past this , any answer is much much appreciated

Hi guys after a lot of thinking...I have decided to take a drop

I'll sit in the counselling and look at my chances and the institute I be getting .

I'm preparing for ini nov too

I'll try my best to get a good rank and have positive attitude

I'm actually open for suggestions..

If someone is from this rank bracket in neet pg 2025 or 2026 pls let me know what are you planing

I am hardworking and I got this rank after study for 5-6months

It was my internship attempt...and I was not consistent during my internship I used to take a gap of 1-2 months at a time and would study via videos etc ...started my journey with 108 corrects in April and with today's score card I have gotten 135 corrects

Also got a rank of 7k in may ini

2019 Batch.... I got 1.16L in Neet pg 2025...studied for a whole year.... Still got only 72k in Neet Pg 2026.... Now I'm confused should I take a non clinical branch or prepare again.... I'm not sure about which non clinical as I'm not aware of the future prospects after completing pg.... Also scared of getting a bad rank again next yr... Can't concentrate for Ini Nov too... Not sure what to do.

I have seen everyone saying AI will take over radiology but I dont understand how ll AI take over over interventional radiology (IR)
Every other resident i talk to they say they want to take up IR
even in my college theres a dire need of proper IR (govt college)
I understand that AI will help filter and declutter diagnostic stuff but can never replace humans atleast
Its like CA where signature of CA matters the most in the financial report
So is the radiologists sign and PLEASE CORRELATE CLINICALLY 😂
this is my opinion and this time too radiology will be picked up at higher ranks

Is it worth taking, hows the Saturation there, Future opportunities ?

I havent heard much of experiences from seniors...please enlighten me.

I usually hate OT and surgical side and prefer a decent to good work life balance.

But being an anaesthetist, i hope there is no follow ups and Hectic schedule (as of like gen medicine...)

These are as far as i know.

Will anaesthesia suit me🥲😬 (its what i get for my rank)
