Questions about corvette cockpits and other components

Hey guys :)

When I'm building my living/organic ship bases I like to create some of my own bridge/ cockpit and furniture to go along with this "alien" feeling .

I really would like to replace the cockpits of some of my Corvettes with my "selfmade" ones. But I'm having trouble with blender bugging my corvettes and lost 2 this weekend, so I wanted to ask you guys a few things before I dare trying to do this:

I saw in a video someone's awesome pirate ship build (corvette) an he scaled the cockpit of the ship tiny and hid it. The thing was still flying in 3rd person apparently so it seems to be possible. But here my questions:

- If you make the cockpit tiny and hide it, Can you still use the 1st person (inside view) of the cockpit if ever needed or you're stuck flying in 3rd person only?

- How does it look when you fly a ship like that? is it normal 3rd person view or does it fly different? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm unsure

- Will the other ship components (shields, reactors, etc.) still work properly if I scale and stack them all toghether so they don't bother visually? Maybe there is a few components that shouldn't be stacked toghether so idk. Also does it affect the ship's stats?

- I read about the 100 corvette pieces limit, but do you know what's the limit for decoration/base parts?

-And lastly, do lots of decoration parts also affect my stats or is it just for corvette parts?

I wish you a nice day.

Black Wasp jet bike from 2005 movie "The Island" - Aresmar Shipyards

My new build is Black Wasp jet bike from 2005 movie "The Island"

After compact Bubble Ship I built, I needed this challenge to build a micro-corvette.

I was a fan of Wasp in the Island Movie so it was the perfect candidate for the project. But I had to make it a daily usable corvette not just a show bike. So it does have all the essentials you want from my builds!

A great fun, adrenaline infusing vehicle for you and your friend at the gunner seat! I hope you like it!

Special thanks to TazMD and De Pe for their support on taking the footage and helping me testing the build.

As always you can access all my ships and get them from my patreon page completely FREE! Join our community and notified of all the new builds, sneak peeks, and tutorials.

Blender/App Guides and FAQ

Hi folks!

I'm the developer of the No Man's Sky Blender add-on and the Base Builder App.

I tend to lurk on Reddit these days but just thought I'd drop a few useful links for anyone new to these tools and want some direction to get started.

🏗️Guides for the Blender add-on

🚀Guide for the Base Building App

I've noticed a fair amount of common questions and misconceptions about the tools too, so for this I've written an FAQ page. :)

FAQ

My pages and the Nexus Mods pages all have relevant links and videos (some are fairly old, but still relevant), and don't forget there is a dedicated Discord for my tools if you get that far.

Happy building!

The Benatar (w/ parked version) - Guardians of the Galaxy

Yes it’s my Blender built Benatar, yes I know we’re all mad about that. Let me apologize in advance for using Blender. I’m sorry friends. However I’m still proud of it. This was a lot of work and I’m happy to share it finally completed. I even made a “landed / parked” version with the tail split. Enjoy! Or roast me in the comments! I still love you.

Thank you HG! Being able to create and fly my own ships is a dream come true! I finally get to fly my old builds and I will be having so much fun

When I built my "Living Freighter" bases years ago I wished so much to fly them. Now I can. :D

Don't get me wrong, this ship has the manouverability of a potato and takes so much of your screen when flying, it's ridiculous! Can't stop laughing. But being able to fly my old creation felt awesome. My future builds will be so much smaller than this, for sure. And hopefully much weirder.
