Mechanical Engg (18F)

I'm a first year student in mechanical engineering; second year aane wala hai and I'm really stressed out.

I've always felt drawn to the idea of mechanics and how systems work and so I decided to take up ME , Despite everyone saying ki mech is not for girls, field job, less package etc.

First year was all about cgpa, exams, labs,"exploring" due to which time ka pata hi nahi chala.

Now I'm feeling really aimless Idk but I'm not able to enjoy what I thought I would've loved to pursue.

Mere batchmates coding, dsa, hackathons etc kar rahe I've no idea inn chizo ke baare me (my fault maine zyada interaction nahi kari na hi dost banane ki koshish) and I'm still stuck here totally clueless

Can I go down the tech route? I've heard the job market is cooked but the packages are still so lucrative

Or, should I prepare for gate psu and government jobs? (I'm actually hoping for a desk job or atleast something that doesn't have field work coz I don't think I can actually handle that)

Please guide me mujhe kya karna chahiye? Can both tech placements and gate mechanical prep go on together? And kya inke alawa aur bhi options hai?

Please help me out. I'd be extremely grateful for your guidance.

NSUT APPLICATION?!

Can anyone please enlighten me on the following points-
- nsut asked for both the parents' income, but are they asking yearly or monthly?
-In the "cultural quota" category, if I select the fine arts quota, what am I supposed to upload??????? I have no idea,

there is absolutely zero information on the internet about this, so I would appreciate more information for B.Des in NSUT, (except for the fact that it's not the best choice lmao)

What programming language do they teach in NSUT IT in 1st year.

I'm considering of taking NSUT IT this year, i have 2-3 months of free time till college start , so I'm thinking of utilizing this time by learning the programming language which i need to learn later in NSUT 1st year.

EAST campus is severely underwhelming.

hello seniors.

today i visited nsut east campus to know what it have to offer, and it was really underwhelming. it was built completely like a school. small corridors, center garden, small classes. black boards.

not all ac work and have to ask the people there to turn it on.

there is no wifi there, confirmed by numerous students present onsite.

the locality is itself very poor. there is a huge naala instead of the road which was supposed to be built but is standing there unfinished.

we talked to directors and they said main campus decides the funds and tenders for east campus necessities. and wifi itself will take more than 6 months to be fixed.

east is not taking any responsibility for the low facilities they provide, and the main is just procastinating it.

now, im getting csda in nsut east, and ece in nsut main. again its the topic branch vs college life. but man atleast there should be something to call it a college, its a fucking school.
even a school live upto the expectations of students.
gods.

Please help me for my graduation

Hello everyone,

I am currently pursuing my final year of Engineering, and I am facing a serious financial difficulty regarding my college fee submission. My education loan has already been exhausted, and I still need approximately ₹50,000 to complete my final-year fees.

If anyone is willing to support, guide, or help in any possible way — whether through contribution, scholarship references, or sharing this post — it would mean a lot to me and my family.

Every small help and share can make a difference.

Thank you for reading and supporting.

DM me if you would like more details or fee documents for verification.

Help me choose my college

I am getting ice in NSUT. I might also get ee in NSUT/DTU as the last year cutoff was around 39k and I have around 41k (home state). I am also getting branches like mechanical, Engineering physics, etc. at DTU. What to choose?

I am getting higher branches like ece and cse at IIITs like Guhawti, Vadodara, Sri City, Pune etc.

I am also getting cse in private colleges like VIT Vellore, MIT Manipal, and Thapar.

If I talk about my interest, it is the actual Engineering part. Building things and making projects. I am not very keen towards cs for the fact I can't just be on the computer my whole life. I want to actually do something physical and tangible.

However, sometimes I think that without tech jobs, I won't be able to crack the highest packages even after staying 5-10 years into the line, and eventually will have to switch to MBA or something.

Also, one thing to add, I am very ready to do Masters (both Mtech and MBA) and just want enough placement to get work experience in a great company
