I love Drowned Lands, but the buyout (25k w/o food and bev) is not within our budget. I think the indoor space is beautiful, but our ideal is an open-air (weather permitting) reception.

However, if I love the venue enough, we're down to have an indoor reception if we can do outlook ceremony, cocktail hour, mingling, etc.

Has anyone been to or had their wedding at Drowned Lands? Can you provide some insight? ty ty ty

My fiancée and I (lesbian couple) are getting married at Brooklyn City Hall on 8/7 and we are looking for a photographer to photograph our ceremony and take some pictures afterwards. It will be a maximum of 2 hours. We are eloping because her family is in Brazil and cannot come to the US for our wedding so we will have a separate ceremony in Brazil eventually. We would also appreciate if the photographer could act as a witness for the ceremony.

Hi, no idea if this is too last minute (first time doing this...) but i was hoping to hire a photographer to capture my proposal next Friday, July 3. The tentative plan is to go for a walk on the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, and propose there around sunset. If there's time maybe some photos in the streets of Brooklyn Heights afterwards, but mainly want to capture us on the Promenade.

Let me know if you have a website to look at and if reddit dms or an email address would be best to communicate (or texting or whatever). I dont have an insta, but i think i can still look at a few posts that are publicly available on someones page.

Hi All! Currently we are seeing some venues in NYC as we live in LIC but would love more of an outside garden and nature feel to our venue. Does anyone have any recommendations? We are open to NJ as well or anywhere that can be traveled to by car within 45min max. Our budget is currently 40K. We are expecting around 100 people.
