Hi!

I’m in a pickle. I’ve been type A about everything wedding related aside from my skincare route (I’m someone who is fortunate enough to always have decent skin so I’ve never had to think much about this). That said, I received my first facial (ever!!!) last month at Sofie Pavitt in NYC and it was amazing. They recommended that I get the dermaplanning facial early October.. which is my wedding month!!! My appointment will be JUST three weeks shy of my date… is it too risky to do it as someone who’s never done it before? OR is it worth it?

They’ve also recommended I do another facial the WEEK OF the wedding. Thoughts?

I’m so torn… please help!

Hi - we’re getting married this fall 2026 at Cescaphe’s Water Works, and are looking to secure our first look photo permits nearby. We’ve been recommended to do Rodin Museum but are not seeing any available windows after September 2026 to book (October through the year is empty). How far in advance do these open up, and is there a chance that October just hasn’t been released yet? And if so, when should we be ready to book by?

Alternatively, any other photo spot recommendations would be great (Second Bank, Merchant Exchange, etc) and the permit process for others would be so appreciated. Thanks so much!
