Purchased from Happy Days for $60+tax after a ton of people vouching for them. I was especially interested in this “20+yr old sour cut” and seeing if it is close. Definitely not a daily smoke at that price this was a treat for myself. I do want to note that originally I made a post seeing the price at $65.40 which was super steep and since then, the price was brought down to $60 later in that day. I have deleted the other post for that reason and decided to review it.

Bag Appeal 8/10: This category is the only one that really brings this flower down at all. I took 1 point for the plastic jar and 1 point for the straggler leaves on the trim. At this price the trim should be perfect and I expected glass or something more durable and darker than the regular plastic. Aside from that these buds are extremely frosty and sticky. Truthfully no flower has been near as sticky as this in a very long time for me.

Smell 9.5/10: Here is where this one shines for me its really gassy, funky, and definitely not like any weed I tried on legal market so far. As someone who has only been smoking the last decade, this is what I assume that “real old school sour” smells like.

Flavor 10/10: This flower smokes how it smells and it has been a while since I had weed that tastes like the sour I had 10 years ago that I initially fell in love with. The gas comes through even more on smoke than the smell. The limonene being dominant gives everything a really nice balance. Very smooth smoke overall and clean burn.

Effects 9.5/10: Head high that has me very mellow but locked in at the same time. For me, this is as close to the sour d I grew to love as you can get. Made me happy and not tired or any couch lock which I really enjoy. Definitely a little body high as well but as I said not super tired or feeling out of it from this.

Overall 9.25/10: I am very pleasantly surprised by this flower. This was the closest I feel like I ever got to the sour diesel I had when I first started smoking in 2015/2016. The flavor and high is exactly what I remember and while I’m not an “old school” smoker by any means, I do know good flower when I smoke it. Im happy so many people had good things to say about Black Rabbit and while $60 is very pricey, I can understand why this is top shelf flower. I would buy this again and definitely go out of my way for this flower if I saw it at a better price.

Side note: I also tried the Haleys Comet but saw someone posted a review on it right before I was going to write mine. I think their review was solid and similar sentiment so I did not want to post the same strain on same day. Feel free to check that review if you wanted to see other good strains from them.

everything I have tried from Budding Bliss has been a really nice experience. This was another great experience. Lemony mentholish terps to my nose. The moisture content is perfect for me. A great balance of softness and stickiness. My preferred method is a blunt. Taste is right on point with the smell. I’ll keep it simple, probably the best piff I’ve seen on the NY rec market. If you like sativa leaning haze and NY Sour D strains, Blackrabbit is for you. Haley’s is one of my personal favorites. The distinctive smell is reminiscent of the late 90’s early 2000’s and the buds make your fingers sticky with trichomes. This will not disappoint, while pricey, IMHO it is well worth it and the genetics set it apart.

Ah yes, the controversial BL from ADK- here is the most recent batch (labs from late May) and, I presume, a product of their new grower.

This is the 4th batch I’ve tried of this strain from ADK and, honestly, it’s my favorite so far. The buds are fresh and sticky (though less sticky than some prior batches) and they have good density. It smokes more smoothly to me and the piney flavor has been tamed a bit in favor of some sweet fruity notes. It’s still piney and earthy/herby but, on the whole, the flavor profile seems more refined to my palate.

The terps tested at 4% with 2% Mercene. It is super-relaxing. I don’t get a significant head high with this- more like a stoney relaxation. I can see why they keep running this, even if it’s not true BL, it’s a terpene producer.

I got this on Friday for $50 out the door (incl a 10% discount) at State of Mind in Latham.

lol before I get this review I just wanted to say how blessed I am to try real za and how funny it is that people are still allergic to pain cause of $. I saw a guy post about Black Rabbit and I thought it was cool to see considering what I heard about the brand and me having some to try myself. Me personally never had tried true Sour Diesel in my life so I’m looking for to this Black Rabbit. Still however there was paranoid hounds in the chat deploying the same marketing lines that go like——> he must be a paid marketer or this is just another hype train review from x years old account. Essentially devaluing the post and the weed when all the misinformation and hating stems from lies that in reality only comes from a lack of acceptance. Never knew it was so hard to accept za being out here and also maybe people wanting to post something cool. It’s called being an enthusiast and I won’t lie it’s hard to be enthusiastic when people just don’t accept good reputation and price tags that are demanding from such brands. It’s ok if it’s not yall drink of choice but get a grip. Go watch some bleach thousand year blood war. Anyways just wanted to get that off my chest. Black rabbit review coming soon but for now enjoy this!

Experience: My eyes felt heavy within a full pulls that’s how real it was. The trip was smooth but this one snuck up on me like John Wick coming in from the shadows. This one is deadly but it is inviting time you can’t say no to. If you have to be outside, running around places then this might be not be the one to blow down. Stationary and laid-back activities would make this a memorable ritual.

One and Done or Rotation Favorite?
After this smoke I won’t lie, this Runtz has the gassiest punch I’ve felt in a minute. Everything from the high to the flavors of the weed, it was all intense and pronounced unlike other stuff I’ve tried before. Definitely a rotation staple that I would put my pothead brethren on too.

Here with another discussion post asking about why the price of new top shelf items seems to be going up overtime instead of down. I recently saw my dispensary carry Black Rabbit, which I heard fantastic things about, but the price is even more egregious than wizard trees at $65.40+tax. This has to be the most expensive 1/8th I ever seen and I am curious as to what price they sell to the dispensary vs how much markup there is.

Anyone try this brand and have pics of the flower or know their strains? I know that no weed is worth this price tag so no need to tell me that but just curious as to why it’s this expensive.

So I decided to pick up a premium eighth to celebrate the weekend in my own way and my local dispo had this in stock. I grow my own but get tired of the same strains all the time so I figured I’d take a chance. I vaped this with my POTV Lobo and a Dynavap

Jar was glass and definitely felt premium. Opening the jar, you get hit with sweet and candy like terps. Definitely was happy with that, but the flavor was somewhat muted, more earthy. That kinda makes sense since the COA states about 2% on terps.

The buds are properly cured, I wouldn’t say dry but maybe that’s copium. The buds are nice, but in my first one I found a seed in the grinder. I guess
most people would be upset about that but I grow so maybe it will germinate and be female! I want to consider it a gift, hopefully there aren’t too many more. I’ve read that Runtz is a herm-prone strain.

The effects are definitely potent! Idk if it’s truly 34% but my body isn’t that accurate of an instrument lol.

Overall, 8 out of 10. I’ve had it, I’ve tried it, I enjoyed it, and I’ll try something else next time or to back to old reliable Rolling Green purple jars.

Another one from Black Rabbit. Dirty Taxi #1 smells great and fresh and sweet. Smoke is smooth and crackles as it burns. Delicious strain. Delicious brand. $55 an eighth with tax (after a 25% discount).
