Park Green Cafe & Bar

First time exploring the new development out in Rosehill, and we were informed Park Green Cafe & Bar was the place to try.

It’s incredible! The food is tasty, and involves a fusion of Indian/Asian flavours. There’s a different menu during the day (Still gotta try sometime); we visited in the evening and ordered the Pork Belly, Lamb, and a side of chips. The crackling was tasty and crispy whilst not feeling like it’ll break your teeth (not clear in my pic). The lamb was so tender and pulls apart nicely. If I heard correct, both the pork and lamb get slow cooked! The portions felt very generous - we had to take some home as we didn’t expect to get so full! Also, the Promiscuous Plum cocktail was such a treat 😊

I’ve heard they’re much busier during the day. But their Saturday evenings are very quiet. We were their only guests at the time. Please go show them some love during these hours! Excellent atmosphere for a date night or celebratory dinner.

Their service is friendly and accomodating. And I was told they also host events.

Anyone else here on Reddit visited? Let me know what other dishes you’d recommend for our next visit!

NZ Muscle are packing expired stock as their own!

Just watched the YouTube video about NZ Muscle allegedly repackaging expired Mexican protein powder and selling it as their NoBrand Whey. If the allegations are true, it makes me wonder what this means for the rest of their product range and quality control processes.

As consumers, would we be entitled to refunds or some form of compensation if NZ Muscle is found to have breached consumer protection or food safety legislation?

I also remember thinking something seemed off when they released their protein shaker bottle, which appeared to be a near-identical copy of the Helimix design. This was after Helimix had sold the rights to Yeti. At the time, it struck me as a pretty bold move, perhaps assuming a small New Zealand market wouldn't attract much attention.

Interested to hear what others think about the situation and whether it has affected your trust in the brand. Also, great investigative work to the creators of the video 😀

TL;DR: Watched the video alleging NZ Muscle repackaged expired Mexican protein powder as NoBrand Whey. If true, are customers entitled to refunds or compensation, and does it raise concerns about the rest of their product line? Also thought their Helimix-style shaker bottle looked suspiciously like a copy.
