Shrinkage!

Shrinkage!

No matter what top coat I use, my wraps shrink. It's driving me crazy!

I've tried Essie, Seche Vite, Sally Hansen, Nail Fox's brand and Glamonade. They all shrink.

Am I just unlucky? Is there any hope? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Advise for wonky nail beds lol

I recently got back into doing nail wraps and I'm using Dashing Diva glaze. (I believe 'a moment in time' is the color I'm wearing now) I love them! But, some of my nail beds are more wonky than others lol they are narrower at the cuticle compared to the end of my nails. Even painting my nails I'd always try to keep the edges of the polish more straight so I didn't get duck looking nails haha but the gaps really bother me. I don't see this in other people's pictures. Any suggestions on a better fit but avoiding having duck nails? I don't think they look too horrible from a distance.. but I know it's there 😂

Issues with Dashing Diva

Anyone notice issues with DD adhering lately? For every one good set, I get 2-3 duds that are clunky thick and peel off within a few hours.

I don’t think it’s my technique because I have no issues with Ohora or Lilly and Fox - I usually get 7-8 days (I work in healthcare so the handwashing and sanitizer takes a toll). It’s annoying because DD fits my nails best.

Advice

I had on gel wraps for almost 2 months, different colors and brands. I used the ohora easy remover and thinking I may have used it wrong. The picture shows the tips of what is left of the grow out. I really like using the nail wraps and hope to put them back on after this is grown out.
Please tell me how to keep this happening again.

Looking for feedback/reccomendations on UV vs NON-uv options

Hi all,

I have been using Dashing Diva (Non-uv) wraps for a long time and have loved them. Due to better designs, I finally picked up my first set of their semi-cured gel and am not loving them. I meticulously pressed and rolled the edges but still don't like the "shelf" that it leaves around the cuticle and I am getting a couple of them stuck in my hair which was my biggest concern...

I'm not sure I want to give up yet. I am considering trying a couple of other brands and would love feedback reg ease of use, hair pulling and thick vs thinness.

Looking at:

-Nailog

-Polish Pops

I would also love recs for other wraps that last well that do NOT require UV, as that is what I started with and loved but TBH Dashing Diva just doesn't have that many great styles in their non-uv options. If you give recs here, please let me know if you need to use base/top coat bc that is not something I normally do, and would prefer not to have to. I hate that dry time!

I appreciate anyone/everyone's insight and guidance!

Waterslide nail decal HELP

I have tried everything possible to get these things to stay. I use gel polish. I am a nail tech with 28 years experience. I have purchased deals before from Etsy that stayed on great. I use the paper you don’t need to spray, but I’ve also used paper u do need to spray. No matter what the deals always peel off. Even after top coating. I’ve tried to let them dry out. The ones I purchased I had zero problems with. I can’t get mine to stop peeling no matter what. Please help me! I’ve been trying to Perfect this technique for years and I just cannot get it.

Base coats

Hey all, I really enjoy using the heyhae nail wraps but I’m looking for a base coat to use with it to help protect my nails a little bit better!
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated :)

So much cuter on!

I snagged these because I loved the design, but wasn’t so sure about them when I got ‘em. They are so cute when applied, though!

They’re from Embrace Your Style Nails. 🥰

Ohora semi-cured gels are a waste of money

Package needs to change from 14+ days to 14+ hours but I don’t think I even made it that long with them. Thought I peeped them right and everything. So disappointed.

Picnic Party - So cute! What do you think?

Oh My Gosh! Picnic Party. These are so cute and summery, I love them. Have had a week of interviews and so after having bare nails for a little while I went with these gorgeous wraps.

Have used the Orly Bonder as a base and Orly Won't Chip top coat. Usual prep of buffing, pushing cuticle back and dehydrator.

Wraps are OoS as far as I can see on Oh My Gosh! site.

Let me know what you think! 💅🏻🫶🏻🍒🧺

Nail Prep Makes All the Diffrrence

I’ve been using Polish Pops for about 6 months now and nail prep really makes a huge difference. I can easily get 3 weeks wear with minimal edge lifting. I make sure my hands haven’t been in water for at least an hour before a new set. Clean ALL skin from the nail bed around the proximal nail fold, clean up cuticles, alcohol wipe after a very light surface scuff. Really roll the edges with the orange stick and put a coat of clear gel as a last step. I love having pretty nails.

Bubblegum Blue by Lily & Fox

I added the bees, flowers and dotted lines, all from different sticker packs.

I liked them when I did them last night, but now I think they're too busy or maybe childish.

Thoughts?

First polish pops

First time using these. Will see how they hold up. So far I’ve had the best luck with Ohora.
