Gel top coat

I am wondering if I should do a gel topcoat on my semi cured gel wraps. I have tried the heyhae and ohora brands and i love them but i tend to get lifting round the bottom/cuticle area after about a week and it catches in my hair. I am wondering if the top coat would help with this and if using a gel topcoat would make it harder for them to come off when im ready. Mine now usually i am able to get a nail under and they come off easy with no damage to my nail besides a little stickiness. Also any recommendations for gel topcoats would be great

OPI Nail Envy w/Tri-Flex as Basecoat under non-UV wraps?

I’ve been searching this sub, but can’t seem to find a clear consensus about this. Does anyone have experience using OPI Nail Envy (the tri-flex formula) as a basecoat under wraps that don’t need curing? I’m specifically curious to know if you have to gently file the base coat so it’s not slippery or whatever other tips you might have. Been using wraps for years, but I’m also trying to show my nails a little love bc they’re weak. I plan to specifically try it with Lovely Hello wraps this time.

Nail wrap keeps lifting at corner :(

Hello! Seeking some help from the experts here. I’ve done the prep. Roughed up the nail dried it up. Cured it, shaped it into a taco and cured it again… why’s the edge lifting already? Any help is appreciated. Also.. if something’s too big or too small for the nail and nothing else in between is it ok to stretch it out?

Thank you!!

So cute! Ohora wraps

This is my second set and I feel it was easier the second time. Color is N Gold Coast. Last set i was on day 10 before removing because I was ready for a color change. I’m very impressed.

( don’t look at my dry fingers as this is from prep and I like to wait an hour before putting lotion on)

Nailog and Heyhae

The second pic is from a Nailog set but I hated the pink and yellow solids. So the next day I switched them out with some leftovers from a HeyHae set.

Ordering from Amazon, what are your recommendations!?

These are dashing diva no led light needed wraps. I think it’s glow line?

Anyways, they are not perfect, I wish they had the dark color that would’ve fit my pinky and I would’ve set these up different. But this is my best application so far as far as lifting at the cuticle goes!! Making progress!

I want to order some from Amazon, should I go with heyhae or ohora? Or any other brands you all like? 🙂

Good nail lamp?

Will this lamp likely be a good lamp? While it says 80 Watts, it is actually 48. According to AI that is actually better as 80 Watts would cause awful heat spikes with 80 led beads. So it's real specs are 48 Watts, 80 led beads, magnetic reflective base, cordless and rechargeable, 4 settings including a low heat setting. I am not familiar with this brand. I will mostly use it for SCG wraps and top coats over wraps.

I got it from an ebay liquidator who had open box with a 1 year maintenance plan for $22 plus shipping, and if it is not working as advertised, I am covered by ebay money back guarantee, so for that price, I bit.

Do you think this was a good buy? If it works? Amazon reviews are good but not many.

Dashing diva gloss “at the cape”

Second set of Dashing diva gloss. First one did not make it a week. For these I had a glass file and did a gel top coat to cure. Hope they last longer!

can you reuse nail wraps?

maybe a weird question lol, but I was wondering…after I remove nail wraps, if they’re all still in tact and looking nice, can I glue them back on another time and essentially use them like press-ons to get another use out of them? I ask this because I can’t have anything on my nails for work (I’m a cook), so I can only have my nails done for 3-4 days at a time 😭 I guess that’s not so bad, but it’d be nice to get a second use out of them to save some money.
