Trying to get diagnosed with Anxiety Disorder since I cannot cope

I am in Batch 03/26 (PES B2) and I'm currently not coping well with NS life (permanent anxiety, nausea, vomiting, cannot focus, insomnia, moodless). I want to try to get a diagnosis to also PES drop but am aware about re-BMT.

Is this worth it? My main fears is just IMH records affecting employment, and parents reaction. My platoon PC and OO are also somewhat adamant about referring me to IMH.

Edit: I supposedly have an upcoming appointment at PCC, is there a way I can escalate to IMH?

Sg citizenship chances???

I’m a PR currently serving NS and am wondering how the citizenship application process works and my chances of getting it lol. I’m gonna ord in abt 3 weeks time and my superior has agreed to write a testimonial for me as well.

I am a CPL, silver IPPT, safety awards from the bmtc commander, participation awards for various projects for which I have a certificate from the chief of infantry, btp marksman and atp completed. (This is not trying to gloat in anyway apologies if it comes across that way just want to get the full background in case anyone has advice)

Low key stressful since one of the main reasons I did NS was to get citizenship lol. I heard before they offer u citizenship but to my knowledge now that’s not the case. If anyone has any insight that would be much appreciated, thank you 🙏. (Also I am studying overseas for Uni but I know other kids in my situation that are also studying overseas but have got their citizenship)

Need some NS/ICT advice. How screwed am I?

I ORD about 4 years ago. During NS I changed vocation midway throughns and by the time I ORD I was without a vocation.

Since ORD, I've never been called back for ICT or received any notification. I recently moved house and realised I've lost pretty much all my NS issued items uniforms, field pack and all, plus my e mart I'm unable to access.

If I suddenly get called up now, how much trouble am I in? Is there a way to replace the missing items before getting called up or should I just wait until I receive an ICT notice then inform them?

Would appreciate any advice from anyone who's been in a similar situation. Thanks guys!!

MO said PES down, but nothing updated on eHealth?

Hey everyone, just wanted to ask if anyone has experienced something similar before.
I recently saw the MO for a medical review because of an old back injury plus isotretinoin 20mg use. During the consultation, he told me that I would be Temporary PES down to E9 and that I would also be getting long-term statuses for Excuse RMJ Heavy Loads and excuse sunlight for up to 6 months. He specifically told me to inform my commanders.

The problem is that when I checked eHealth afterwards, none of that was reflected. The only thing I can see is an 84-day excuse for RMJ and Heavy Load and excuse sunlight. There’s no indication that my PES is being reviewed or downgraded, and the longer-term statuses the MO mentioned don’t appear anywhere.

It has been 1week now and I am confused and wondering if the MO forgot to submit something or if these things simply take time to be processed and updated in the system. My commanders are still assigning me to some high-key conducts because I’m technically still PES fit according to the records they can see and the excuses means I can still participate in it which I don’t think I can.

I’m starting to worry because it probably looks like I’m making excuses or trying to avoid these activities when I’m only repeating what the MO told me. I honestly feel a bit foolish now after passing on the information and then having nothing in eHealth to back it up.
Has anyone been in a similar situation before? How long did it take for your PES review or long-term statuses to show up, and is there anything I should do besides waiting?

med screening experience with anxiety

Hi, I'm going for my medical screening next week and intend to declare my experiences with anxiety, but I'm very anxious about the screening process and also very worried that I would get what I think are panic attacks while detailing past experiences with anxiety, because that usually happens, so I'd like to mentally prepare for it. Does anyone have any experience? I know some people fake anxiety, so is it particularly interrogative?

If it helps, I've suspected some problem with anxiety since I was 14, but never sought a diagnosis or much help because I don't wish to disappoint my parents. Anxiety and panic attacks? regularly affect me and sometimes in public visibly too, but most of the time people don't suspect a thing and I can hide it quite well by hiding in toilets when it's severe enough to be visible. I also have the separate dilemma of whether my anxiety is bad enough.

I've read most anxiety-related posts (mostly while having panic attacks...) but would like more information. Thank you.

Creative traps and questions

This was awhile ago, still in the red zone policy era. We had to do photography of some items for time capsule. Was struggling because the approved camera was from 2007.

Encik:”eh neh mind! Anyone got camera phone?”

How to see a counsellor...

Hi, SCS pro term cadet here. Currently going through alot of personal and family problems right now, to the point of having occasional suicidal thoughts. Barely being able to push through training at this moment. It seems like seeing a counsellor is the only way to go. Not intending to down PES but I just need someone to talk to, but not comfortable sharing with my PC or higher ups as idts they can relate to my problems well. May I know what is the procedure of doing so? Must I see an MO first? Thanks all

Earned it : Questionable Medical Practices

I would like to raise a concern about the way medical statuses are being handled for some Guards servicemen from Dieppe Barracks when reporting sick at Khatib Camp Medical Centre.

There appears to be a recurring concern among servicemen that some MOs may not be assessing declared illnesses thoroughly enough before deciding whether to issue rest, light duty, or other appropriate statuses. In some cases, servicemen are reportedly told that they “look fine” or are advised to manage with medication first, before being asked to return for battalion conduct or activities.

To be clear, this is not about expecting RIB, LD, or rest to be given automatically. The issue is whether proper medical assessment is being done consistently, especially during periods where the battalion requires high attendance.

Some servicemen have also observed that outcomes can differ depending on which MO they see. Similar symptoms or conditions may lead to rest or light duty from one MO, while another MO may give no status or minimal status. This creates the perception that medical decisions are not always consistent.

There is also concern that Guards servicemen are rarely given RIB or adequate rest statuses, even when they declare symptoms that affect their ability to participate safely. Whether intentional or not, this has made some servicemen feel that operational needs are being placed above patient welfare.

At the battalion or company level, communication around RSO/RSI also seems to be an issue. Some servicemen feel that instead of clear guidance, the messaging is sometimes indirect, discouraging, or framed around consequences such as RSO bans. This is especially worrying for those with existing or past medical conditions, as they may not fully understand how their cases are being considered before such measures are mentioned.

There are also concerns about people being placed on LD but still being expected to perform tasks that may not align with the purpose of the status. This creates a grey area where the status is acknowledged, but not always respected in practice.

The point of this post is not to attack any individual MO or commander personally. The concern is about a pattern that some Guards servicemen from Dieppe Barracks feel they are experiencing at Khatib Camp Medical Centre.

Medical statuses should be based on proper assessment and patient welfare, not convenience or manpower requirements.

What to do about bunk situation

Just got posted to unit a week ago as a TO and havent gotten proper sleep at all. The bunk we were given has almost no ventilation with a missing fan. The remaining fans dont reach us at all leaving the bunk very stuffy and humid. At certain times it gets difficult to breathe due to how thick the air is. Our only wall socket for some reason is above eye level and behind a bedframe so requesting standing fan is useless. Ive taken melatonin and other sleeping products to no avail and the lack of sleep has affected my sleep schedule outside of camp as well. Is there anything I can do ?

Is it malingering to go checkup/screening even though nth feels wrong atm?

Was just curious about this cuz since healthcare is free why not go and check your body (even though nothing is presently off at the moment) for common types of cancer so you can catch it early then can cure it since its super early stage which is usually curable. Ive seen people here say they went for multiple surgeries and rack up 5 figures of healthcare fees all paid by mindef which is even more insane than just going for checkup to catch anything early. Im not asking tips on how to malinger, im just asking if its allowed to use the free healthcare and screen your body to catch things early

How can I support bf in NS?

My bf got enlisted a few days ago. In the relationship he was always the one that isn’t very needy and he likes to enjoys some days alone.( I had no problem with that because we meet 3-4 times a week). But now that i can only see him once a week and it’s his only day off, should I be giving him space? And as a gf what can I do to support him throughout this journey?

IT IS MY DUTY NOT A TRANSACTION

Today i met my carousel buyer to sell my TCG cards, He transferred $1000 into my account (after low balling me).
I grabbed his collar, slapped him in the face and shouted “IT IS NOT A TRANSACTION IT IS MY DUTY”
i then transferred the money back to him.

Knowing i served my duty to the TCG community well is enough to feed me for days.

I can sleep with a full heart and mind today. 🫡

HORMAT!

[Repost] Earned It: Being Bullied in 1 Guards

original post got wrongly taken down by reddit's filters

(taken from a tele chat group called kengmmunity)

They put contraband stuff in my lbs during inspection as well.

Gaslight me, harassing me, give me wrong instructions to get me into trouble, etc

They use coin unlock shower cubicle when I'm showering.

And some other times they take pictures of me and make AI generated photos of me vaping.

Then steal my power bank and portable fan back in Brunei

Then swap my lock with another guy lock

There's another time my ps smack my outration lunch box on the floor in front of the whole coy during lunch in parade square. Food splattered everywhere and then tell me to down 20 before making me clean up the scattered food on the floor and throwing the trash of the entire company after lunch. Because I bought drinks during lunch, I saw others buying it and I thought its allowed.
