ABOUT LAINE

Laine Johnson has represented College Ward since 2022 and is running for re-election.

Laine and her husband are raising their family in Nepean.

In information provided for this AMA, Laine highlighted work over the past four years on traffic calming and road safety, new sidewalk infrastructure on Robertson Road, supporting the Bells Corners business community, and advocating with Hydro Ottawa on the Bells Corners substation and tree-trimming program.

She says the July 1 flooding exposed weaknesses in local stormwater and creek management and that finding longer-term solutions will be a priority.

Laine has also identified recreation infrastructure and transit as priorities, including investment in facilities such as outdoor pools and ensuring Bells Corners has reliable bus connections when the west LRT extension opens.
