From Wednesday, May 20th, to Monday, May 25th, there will be some environmental drilling work done at Pinecrest Recreational Complex and Park as part of a Phase Two Environmental Assessment at the site. Staff will be collecting shallow soil samples using hand-augering equipment at selected locations.

Work will only take place on weekdays and will wrap up by 5 pm each day. There will also be no work happening in the evenings or over the weekend.

While there will be some temporary fencing, cones, and caution tape around the drilling areas to keep everyone safe, the rest of the park will remain open and accessible during the work.

Hi, my name is Elisha Melvin and I run a HOME DAYCARE here in Stittsville. I have 2 children of my own (they are 19 & 17 years old), and I have been running my home daycare for the past 18 (almost 19) years.

I have a Full-Time spot (teachers schedule available as well) at my daycare for September. My hours are Monday to Friday 7:30am-4:30pm, and I am in the Deer Run community in Stittsville (Westridge and Fernbank area).

We head outside to the many parks, go for nature walks along the paths, enjoy circle time & crafts - just to name a few of our daily activities.

Full disclosure we have a dog, he is 9 years old, non-shedding, very loveable and gentle.
