Lost Plush!

Posting as a long shot or a Hail Mary. I lost my homemade Rocky (project hail mary) plush at Tanger today. I went to picky up somthing from work and it fell out of my pocket. Hes about keychain sized. I was there at 5:30 and left shortly after 6 because I was searching for him. I entered by the Gap, went to Sweet Escape, then walked to the employee exit by Claire's. Please im so upset I really want him back

D Spot Kanata

Has anyone actually had a good experience here? My wife and I had an awful experience tonight and left after I started reading the reviews while we were waiting quite a while for our food. It didn't help that the place reeked, that the water somehow tasted awful, and we started questioning the hygiene after reading the reviews and noticing that no one was wearing hairnets in the kitchen. It was a shame, as we always see it full after leaving the movies, and we have always wanted to try it. Now, I don't understand how it is always so busy? Also gives off the vibe that it's a front for scamming LMIAs.

DnD clubs or groups in the area

So, I've just finished up my first year of university, and with the summer coming on I've been horribly starved for dnd. I don't particularly want to wait for the next semester to start up before I can play, so I was wondering if there are any clubs or organizations in the area that might have regular meet-ups that I could drop into?

Thanks for any advice.

Where to get good eggs?

We’re close to farm country - any recommendations on a farm where one can go and buy good quality eggs straight from the source?

New coffee shop with strange owner

Went here today and it was really busy. The $10 coffee wasn’t really for me, but I did enjoy the strawberry matcha. Service took a bit longer since there were only two people handling a lot of orders. The owner was around during our visit and seemed very attentive to customers, though at times it felt a little uncomfortable.

Lane closures, and accompanying traffic woes, on Hwy. 417 at Pinecrest due to LRT work: City

This is horse shit. 2.5 months to install a sign. It should be mandatory that the work continues 24/7 whenever a lane is closed and get it done as quickly as possible. A concept that is absolutely incomprehensible to construction companies, the City and the Province.

Question about traffic lights/stop sign interaction on Earl Grey

Hi all, I was exiting the Walmart parking lot today and wanted to turn left on Earl Grey. Here's the intersection on Google Maps. The traffic light was red because a woman was walking across the street. The man behind me laid on the horn because I wasn't moving. Obviously I wasn't in the mood to kill anyone, so I didn't go.

The woman finished crossing the street, but the light was still red. My question is: could I have gone? The guy behind me was PISSED, blaring the horn and making all sorts of gestures. I ended up not going because I technically would have been going under a red light. Even if I had gone and then waited on Earl Grey, I would have been well past the "Stop here on red signal" sign. Or is that large gap there to help people like me who want to turn left while the light is red? I'm feeling a little foolish for not knowing the answer.

To be fair to the man behind me, from his angle, he probably couldn't see that the light was red.

Thanks for your help!

Group of Cars Honking

Any idea why there is a group driving around honking? Saw them holding up traffic on Eagleson turning onto Hazeldean, then driving into neighbourhoods.

Ottawa Dog Breed & Breeder Recommendations Needed

Our family is thinking about getting a dog, and I’m looking for recommendations for both: healthy, relatively low-maintenance dog breeds reputable dog breeders in the Ottawa/Kanata area We have children, and my son really wants a friendly dog he can play with. We are hoping for a dog that: has a gentle temperament is good with kids is relatively healthy as a breed is not extremely high-energy or difficult to manage preferably lower shedding or easier grooming, though health and temperament matter more I’m also trying to avoid puppy mills or unethical breeders. Ideally, I’d love recommendations for breeders who:

-do proper health testing -raise puppies in a good environment -allow transparency/video calls/visits -focus on temperament and healthy dogs

Did anyone get their builder to issue a new APS?

For those who signed very close to April 1st, some builders were saying they might issue a new APS so buyers can get the tax rebate.

I’m wondering if any builder actually did this?

We live here, stop treating it like a dumpster.

Is anyone else sick of all the litter? Why aren't there more garbage cans in our greenspaces and on our trails?? I am not just on reddit complaining. I have actively been walking around with a garbage bag picking up all the trash cause my dog ate a candy wrapper whole and I am absolutely fed up! To the dude who keeps throwing their poop bags in the trees, F U in particular. I am mortified to have family and friends visit because my neighbourhood is turning into a literal dumpster.

Finally to the group of young boys who fish next to the bridge on the monahan trail, the piles of garbage you leave behind could have killed my dog, i dread to think what its doing to the wildlife. I am going to start calling by-law and conservation every single time I see you fishing illegally. You left hooks just lying next to the path.
