Latest thoughts on candidates running for the election
Curious on anyone's thoughts so far on the current candidates. Some have come to my area. Some have not.
Have any of them commented on RTO? Haven't been able to find much

Exploring higher ed opportunities abroad. I'm a staff member who's worked in multiple departments including instructional design.
Curious if anyone can recommend institutions that are more favourable for Canadians in Saudi, or really anywhere that people can recommend.
For those who have worked at institutions in Saudi, did you find the workload and setup similar to North America? Did you find the salary and living arrangements comfortable?
I vaguely remember seeing a spot near Westboro or Hintonburg that's a grocery store, but had gelato takeout in tubs.
I'm looking for the best gelato tub to go. I may be wrong but feel like they're cheaper than Farinella etc.
I'm finding the fees for Cancun to be very high. Other Caribbean destinations seem to have lower fees. If I book through Alaska Airlines, it looks like the fees are cheaper. However, with Porter, the fees seem very high, almost the same price as simply purchasing the ticket outright.
Is there any workaround for this, or would it be better to just pay cash for the ticket and save my Porter points for another trip?
The points don't seem worth it at all. If you're traveling to Caribbean or Mexico it seems. The fees end up being pretty close to what you would have paid for just the flight. Not exactly sure how that works.
Wondering if I should use my points or just save them for a future Air Transat trip?
Just showed up a week ago. No pain or itchiness really. It has been hot here lately.
I work in higher ed in Canada (and an canadian) for 6 years now and the market has gotten worse and worse. I've bounced around multiple contracts with 0 stability. I have a MEd and working on my PhD.
My partner's employment is in flux too and we have a young child. We're pretty minimal and would love to live abroad to give our child an experience we never had.
I know there are some American run universities but I'm curious how much Italian is still required there. Anyone have a similar experience working at an English speaking university?
Spotting a random special from a completely different thread and made me think about the daily specials that really fly under the radar in the city.
List your one's best ones and go-to's all across the city.
I'm not super versed on the difference between Dolby Vision and HDR+. There's a similar tv (U68SG) that's $400 more which I can't seem to understand why.
This will be used in a bright living room and an overall TV with an android box, streaming, and some gaming.
Thoughts?
Anyone have any idea what places will have Canada Day specials? Thinking more local spots. Shawarma, pizza, burgers, etc. Takeout and dine in.
I know on the Google sheet this says NO now for $50 credit. Has that changed? The last DP I see was in October.

I've read from some others before that they did receive the statement for just dining in. Anyone had luck with this?

Better restaurant than the one near the Ottawa airport for sure.
At first I didn't think much of it.. .but it has become progressively weirder (there's like 40 of them now watching kids leave the school for lunch time) and they're all not wearing shoes.
For those who don't know, it's the beginning of the walking trail at Robert Grant/Abbott.
A student (female) has told me they felt quite uncomfortable walking past these group of men.
Edit: Friend of mine sent me this post below. Seems like it's been happening for quite some time.
Has anyone else seen this? Prior experiences? Can anything be done about this?
So I got the warranty thankfully but they came to look at the TV and said they need to take my TV in for repair... could be 2 weeks, or 1-2 months they said for the part and the repair. It's a TCL 75 inch that's only about 2 years old but that's why we get the warranty. It's the only TV in the house, so wondering if I should get another TV from Costco and return it.
Open to other suggestions.
Thanks!!
Partner is going back to work and I haven't been able to get baby to nap with me for the last 4 months or so. Usually nurses to sleep. Big transition for us.
My plan right now is stroller walks but that's weather pending and no guarantee to work.
