So Many Motorcycles Out Today!

Does anyone know why there are so many motorcyclists driving on Rt. 32 today? Pappy's Run used to be on the Sunday before Memorial Day but that event hasn't happened for many years now

Injured feral cat

Hi all, a feral cat in my neighborhood has recently turned up with an injury. I’ve called New London animal control and the Connecticut humane society but had to leave voicemails both times since it’s the weekend. Are there any local orgs (New London county) I can reach out to about this?? I realize the only option may be euthanasia but I’d rather that then have him suffer slowly :(

I would take him myself but he’s very skittish and I have no means of trapping him :/

In observance of Memorial Day, we will not publish a printed copy of Monday's newspaper. This pause allows our dedicated carriers to spend the holiday with their families and loved ones. THE DAY

Turns out this is completely legal in Connecticut

A year ago someone on here asked “how is this legal?” after noticing a sitting CT state senator worked for Eversource while serving.

I looked into CT's ethics rules and the answer is basically: the law was written to allow it.

Went down a rabbit hole on Eversource, PURA, the legislature and how CT defines conflicts of interest. Not surprising but still wild.

Will Connecticut elections be about replacing the incumbents, more than electing the right person for the job?

Seems like a lot of people wanting to be in the running this time.
