Magic the Gathering in New Roc

Hey everyone, I’m new to the location and I was wondering if there was a place where people play magic? My search brought up Squiggy’s but it looked to be more of a baseball card place. Any recs?

In search of barbers that specialize in corporate white collar clean cuts

Essentially what the title says. I recently moved to new Rochelle and I’m looking for a barber that knows how to do a nice fade but makes it look professional for white collar corporate world (ie good scissor work). I don’t mind recommendations of Dominican barbershops but preferably barbers who speak English and understand what I want. Not trying to spend more than $60. thank you.

Is housing affordability affecting you or someone you know in Westchester?

Hi everyone! My name is Halla, and I’m volunteering with Open New York. We’re talking with residents across Westchester about one of the biggest challenges facing our communities: housing affordability.

Whether you’re renting, trying to buy your first home, worried about your children being able to stay in Westchester, or simply concerned about the future of your community, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re collecting signatures from people who support practical housing solutions, such as building more homes near transit, allowing accessory dwelling units (ADUs), and supporting thoughtful local development that helps keep Westchester affordable and thriving.

Signing the petition is just the first step. If you sign, one of our organizers may reach out to share opportunities to get involved in your community. That could include local events, public hearings, city and town projects, and other ways to make your voice heard on housing issues that directly affect where you live.

If this is something you care about, I’d really appreciate your support by signing our petition here:

Petition

I’d also love to hear your perspective. What’s the biggest housing challenge you’ve noticed in your town or neighborhood?

Illegal booting of cars

There was commotion at the CVS / Kung Fu Tea lot on North Ave last night, it seems like cars were getting booted and someone called the cops when there was a lot of yelling going on outside. The person booting the cars had to remove all the boots, refund cash to a couple who had already paid, and ended up receiving a few tickets himself.

For awareness, NR code requires all private parking lots who boot cars have to have a booting license, all boots must be clearly labeled with the company name and number, must be reported to NRPD, must have a sticker placed on the window with all company information, must take credit card, and cannot charge more than $45 (plus tax). Apparently almost all of these conditions weren’t met last night, hence the refunds / removal of boots. If this ever happens to you, it’s beneficial to know!

Stella New Rochelle

Stella – On-site Parking
I'm having trouble with the Stella building in New Rochelle; we've been on the waiting list for a parking spot in the building for over three months, and so far, nothing. It's awful having to park outside the building, and I'd like to know if anyone else is experiencing this problem.

Arc house new rochell

Hi team. Arc house new lease new potential tenant
Had a tour with one of their leasing agents. Did some digging here and realized that the new management has been horrible for tenants.
Did see that some residents in the shared spaces did not look happy/ looked drained staring at us touring the spaces.
I wanted your recent experiences with Arc house management/ UTILITY BILL hikes/ bill ranges/ and how much wifi costs for you/ any random charge placements on the rent portal.
And whether using their gift credit for con Edison actually worked for you.

Also looked at the Alary, loved the units and In house management but leaning towards the arc house more.

Need your experiences though.
