I’ve been wanting a 3DS for a while now, I just got this one from my local flea market from this guy I buy video games from every weekend that I’m in there and he was selling a 3DS for $180 and I ended up getting it but there is two problems that it has with it… the left trigger feels stiff and the battery is starting to swelling

the left trigger wouldn’t move at all, I took it home and used isopropyl alcohol and I got it unstuck and I got whatever gunk that was in it and it works now but it feels stiff and doesn’t make a clicking sound when I use it, but the 3DS is registering me pressing the button

Im not sure what els to do that will fix it the left trigger

Im pretty sure the battery is starting swelling up, you can’t see much but there is a small bump where the battery is at on the back … on the left side the back panel is sticking up a little bit (you can see in pic) ,as of right now It’s not that bad of a bump

I don’t have a screwdriver that size that will fit those screws on the 3DS, I’m having a hard time finding a place with Phillips #00, but I know it has the original battery in it, that what the guy selling it to me said

I was looking for CTR-003 batteries for the 3DS with a screwdriver and this is the first one to pop up for me ,it was on Walmart.com and I ended up buying it because it looks like the one i needed for it and I checked multiple times that it was the right one

I need someone help that knows about this stuff, I don’t really know a whole lot about 3DS, this CTR-003 i got is a third-party and I’m not sure if this one is a decent one to use on my 3DS or should I get a different one?

My first 3ds was the misty pink original one when I was 7 and I can’t find it anywhere for the life of me so I pulled the trigger and took a risk with a Japanese seller for a used 3ds XL and the condition is so good I’m so excited

OMG y'all I am so giddy. I've had an original 3DS XL for ages, but recently I learned about its hinge issue, which made me a touch nervous to use it. Therefore, I began to seek out a New model. As well as checking the usual marketplaces, I asked around on many of the forums I'm on, to see if someone I knew just had one lying around that they were willing to part with.

Someone was, for $200.

I just got this Galaxy edition New 3DS XL last week, and yesterday I modded it. My first time modding too, that 3DS Hacks Guide is brilliant because even an idiot like me can follow it. System transfer went great as well.

Of course, out of curiosity, I had to see whether I had TN or IPS screens. OMG DUAL IPS SCREENS Y'ALL. I could scarcely believe it when I saw it. I am just so, so happy I found this thing.

So now, I'm going to retire my original 3DS XL. Got a stand for it and everything. Any tips for keeping an inactive 3DS long-term safely?

Recently purchased this black n3dsxl on marketplace with the Zelda case for $200 basically brand new and barely used, and I'm really happy with it and just wanted to show it somewhere. I've been wanting to buy one for a while since the one I had years ago got stolen. This is the exact one I wanted and modded it myself, ngl I was kind of nervous of doing it myself at first and thought of taking it somewhere but after I started, the process was actually pretty easy and straight forward to follow the instructions (took me about 30-40 minutes on my first try).

Can't wait to put in hours of gaming to this thing. Really excited after this purchase!

Hello everyone!

I finally got my hands on a new 3ds XL! I think I got it for a pretty reasonable price. I paid $350 (Canadian) for it. Came with the box, manual and charger but no games.

Not too sure if it’s priced high or not but the person I got it from barely used it and it was in really good condition with very minor light scratches on the outside shell; both screens look pretty much brand new as well.

I’m think these are both TN panels but after reading a bunch of posts; it wasn’t a big deal if I got IPS or not; it was more of a bonus if I got it. The fact that there are so many posts of people asking “TN or IPS?” is kind of self explanatory that it’s hard to tell between the two unless you tilt it and doesn’t make that much of a difference.

Anyways I wanted to share it with everyone and I can’t wait to start using it!!

I picked this up today and I didn't even think about it possibly being a reshell until I got home. Freaking out a little bit to be honest

Just got my 3DS and I’m super excited about it. One strange thing though is when I turn on the 3D, it looks like the image doubles, but doesn’t actually create a 3-D image. No matter what angle I look at it, even the recommended angle and distance from Nintendo, it still looks strange. Is there a way to fix this or recalibrated?

My work, its a New 3ds XL galaxy edition. I know its not the biggest customization out there (just top and bottom shells) but im still pretty proud of it. I also modded it myself a while ago, currently at 64gbs, just missing a clear case, since I already got some screen protectors for both screens, overall 10/10! ^^

Hii, I just wanted to show off my fully decorated 3DS 🥹 I’ve had it for a while and it’s accumulated a few scuffs so I figured I’d add a matte glitter skin on it and slap some stickers on. And here it is!! I am very proud of it and am ready to be called a larper for putting stickers on my 3DS 🙂‍↕️

I got a New 3DS XL with some scratches on it. I’ve seen that replacing the top lens doesn’t look too difficult, but I’m a bit nervous about changing the bottom one since I’ve never done anything like this before. I’m already planning to replace the joystick, so I was thinking maybe I could try replacing the bottom lens at the same time.

Do you think it’s a good idea for a complete beginner to try it, or would it be smarter to just put a screen protector on it and call it a day?
