Why was Bunker Grandpa and Bad Island Man working together? 🤨

“I was promised a career in international diplomacy. In reality, it was just a façade,” Svetlana Pozhidaeva tells Le Temps. In 2012, the Russian woman, who was less than 30 years old, was more familiar with fashion runways than meetings at the United Nations.

A graduate of Russia’s elite Moscow State Institute of International Relations, which is run by the foreign ministry, she first came in touch with Jeffrey Epstein through modeling in 2008.

„A Man Like Putin” (2003)

I want a man like Putin, who's full of strength
I want a man like Putin, who doesn't drink
I want a man like Putin, who won't make me sad

The reason jolani's al qaeda forces had to stop assad from being pro-Z. One can get a Russian out of the empire, but no one can get the Russian Empire out of a Russian liberal.

Use the comments to help build out my dream foreign policy expert blunt rotation

Explanation - mostly based on books I've read by each respective individual

Hannah Arendt - no explanation needed

Hans Morgenthau - probably the most subdued of the group but definitely would chime in once in a while with an absolute banger of a prediction/take, especially when talking about international organizations

Robert S. McNamara - currently reading his book *In Retrospect* and it's so engaging and enthralling. He speaks with a humility that makes him relatable and a fairly easygoing convert partner. Definitely would get some interesting juxtaposition against Morgenthau

George Kennan - half the Cold War happened because people more dim witted than Kennan took insanely based ideas and willfully ignored their nuance.

Henry Kissinger - good storyteller, wildcard

Refugees would be told to repay around £10,000 under new asylum bill - BBC

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cddlgqlm7q2o

People granted asylum in the UK face having to pay back around £10,000 towards the cost of their accommodation and support once they start earning, under government plans.

The new measures, which are part of the Immigration and Asylum Bill, are aimed at recovering costs from all adults with sufficient funds.

Asylum seekers who have the right to work in the UK will have to pay the flat-rate fee before they are eligible to settle permanently.

Those whose claims have been rejected and leave the country will have to repay the costs before they can return to the UK.

Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood said the changes would demonstrate "asylum support is a right, but it is also a responsibility

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c5yz952dm74o

The Home Office has vowed to introduce new "capped safe and legal" routes for refugees to come to the UK from later this year.

The department said it would allow organisations like universities, community groups and businesses to sponsor refugees who applied to come to the UK, a model based on Canada's asylum system.

The government also said it would press ahead with changes to how human rights and modern slavery laws are applied to asylum applications to root out what it described as "vexatious" claims.

The Conservatives said no extra people should be let into the country until illegal immigration was stopped while Reform UK said it would reverse the scheme if elected to government.

Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood said the new system would protect "genuine refugees" while "closing loopholes that have been too often abused".

"Britain has always offered sanctuary to those  fleeing war and persecution," she said.
