Why is Nissan Patrol so famous?
I mean there are better cars maybe, but the uber rich are often seen in a Patrol than a G Wagon or Range Rover. The reliability? The status symbol? How did the Patrol actually manage to create that status?

real sliding doors, real family practicality but with Escalade/Range Rover-level presence

Why do family cars become ugly the moment they become practical?
