USDM Subaru 360

Was not expecting to see this today, an very awesome find!

The story with this is that 10,000 of these little things were imported to the USA (with the help of Malcolm Bricklin) and were intended to be sold as economy cars. However they were panned as critiques as "rolling death machines" and wounded up poorly selling in the country (with unfounded rumours allegedly stating that unsold 360's were quietly scrapped and disposed of). Combined with that + Japanese cars at this point being very easy to get rusty resulted in not many of them surviving into the 21st century.

Spotted this guy up in Templeton, California today during my visit. Not sure how long it's been sitting but I know it's been here since July of 2023. Interesting it has a VW badge at the back (ironic since I thought was just another VW bug at first glance)
