Hey all,
My dad (who is a long time jag fan) has gifted me his amazing Jaguar XJ 2019. I have always loved the car, but recently my mid 20s brain has been craving Android Auto.
Is there any easy way to get android auto installed without switching out the console?
So, I bought an incredible 1999 XJR in LA last year. I live in Texas, so I picked the car up in person and tucked it in with my brother who lives down in San Diego - until I could figure out legitimate shipping. In the two weeks that he had the car, brother man fell so deeply in love with the cat, that it became rather obvious that we had to find him one. That one is the (pictured) incredible gem that came out of West Virginia - from a guy who was just a terrific mechanic and a great counterparty. I guess the point of the story is that the XJR can rip through bloodlines immediately upon experience. One of the greatest cars I’ve ever owned and I would encourage anybody out there with a predisposition towards Jaguars to go get an x308 XJR. Run at it - they will blow your mind.
I'm not the owner i'm just a fan
Hey all - just saw this on the forum and figured I'd pass it along. If any of you were affected by this, get in touch and let's see where it goes. One is Jaguar-facing, the other Land Rover.
(Cheers to sb53 to bringing it to our attention!)

Well, it happened again! I changed out the water pump and its hoses about two years ago with replacement oem parts, everything was running fine for some time but now it seems the pipes themselves are failing.
I’m looking into getting the upgraded metal pipes to avoid having to fix them again but do you guys think I should go all out on the upgraded pump too? Current pump (oem) is only two years old but I’m mainly concerned if it’s compatible with the pipes or if the pipes are going to cause it to wear out quicker?
Returning for more advice as you were all so awesome last time!
Desperately need to upgrade the info system, maps are woefully out of date and I really want CarPlay/Waze available
Anyone got any recommendations/steer clear advice please?
Don’t want to drop a couple hundred £ on something crappy or that doesn’t integrate too well so any pointers appreciated!
(Apologies if you see this duplicated - I may cross post to a more general sub)
Picked up this Jaguar XK 4.2 for £4,750 with 132k miles on the clock.
It’s got a good service history and seems to have been well looked after. I know 132k is getting up there, but for the money I couldn’t resist a 4.2 V8 GT for less than £5k just seemed too good not to try.
Definitely not perfect, but that’s part of the fun. Planning to enjoy it, tidy up a few bits and see how ownership goes.
Interested to hear from other XK owners, anything in particular I should be keeping an eye on at this mileage?
Thanks
I want to lower the my car a little bit since I'm running 19/20 inch wheel setup, 245/35/19 and 265/30/20. But I have adaptive suspension. Anyone here with adaptive suspension and lowering springs who can tell me if there are any fault codes? Reason for lowering springs is to tackle body roll in corners.
I've done a quick wash and this is it for another 2 months it seems - what do others do for washing cars? Jags or otherwise? I've never used a car wash place, my routine was clean wheels.. around half an hour or seems give or take - foam wash with Meguiar's Ultimate Car Snow, rinse - two bucket wash with Goodyear wash n wax - rinse - turtle wax wash and dry.. buff off everything. Windows cleaned with chamois, engine bay cleaned and boot cleaned. I used several microfiber cloths, into the washing machine when done.
I got a huge pack of cloths from Costco ages ago. That's it. I was thinking these car wash places take around 20 minutes they must destroy a car at the pace they work.
My mom is looking to buy this old jaguar and doesn’t have a ton of disposable income. It only has 70k miles on it and had the battery and alternator replaced recently but the owner doesn’t have the maintenance records.
Thank you so much
Displayed at the British motor museum as part of the forza horizon 6 experience collab they have with forza horizon 6 until sometime in November

Newer sedan jags are so scarce in eastern europe i almost wish we could wink at each other like fucking Miata's
This morning, headed out to a car show. And the XJ6 decided to die on the way. Current suspicion is the fuel pump wiring going bad. Terribly sorry, local resident, I’m blocking your driveway with my Jaaaaag.
