The XF - a future Classic?

I dont have to tell other Jaguar owners, specifically XF drivers, how enjoyable they are to drive.

How did a vehicle like this not compete against MB, BMW, and Audi?

This is a pre owned 2016, when I bought it in 2025 it only had 63,000 kms on it. I plan to keep it - and drive it - for a long time (and yes, I'm saving up for maintenance and repair costs).

Heat and high temps - how is leadership mitigating risks at CTCs

I'm curious: with all the heat and humidity, CTC accommodations that aren't air conditioned and much of the training being outside, how is dealing with conditions, while keeping youth safe, impacting the delivery of required training?

Ready for summer motoring

All cleaned up, new Continentals, my '16 XF, 3.0L SC, Prestige trim, ready for summer motoring.

I can't believe these beauties will no longer roll off Jaguar assembly lines. I'll be keeping this one for a loooong time!

PS. The one photo looks like there are two large white scraps along the side - that's a weird light/reflection of the neighbor's car; not a Jag! Ha, ha.

Low friction launch (LFL)?

Hello Jag owners:

Today I got in my car - 16 XF, 3.0, SC, AWD, Prestige trim, backed out, put the car in drive, and planning to accelerate quickly to get out of the street, and make a quick turn around, the car unexpectedly "took off", resulting in me hitting the brakes hard; even then, it felt like the car wanted to continue; I selected P, and shut it off.

Turned it back on in a bit, selected R, backed out, put it in D, and it responded as expected; drove normally for the short distance I intended.

Looking at the owner's manual, I sense I may have, unknowingly, created the conditions whereby the car responded with LFL.

I plan to go into the DIC/ apps and disable the feature; had I been in close proximity to another vehicle, or a building, I think it would have been a whole other disastrous outcome.

This my first Jag and first car that continues to keep me on my toes, as to what I'll encounter next.

Any thoughts, advice, would be appreciated.

Parasitic draw on battery 2016 XF 3.0 Prestige

So...new to me in Nov. 25. 64,000 Kms.

Phantom draw on battery when vehicle is off, such that had it boosted three times prior to Feb 26. Replaced battery; 3 more boosts before May 26.

Took to dealer; they've ruled out the obvious issues, and will be replacing a LED headlight which often draws power long after shut off.

Dealer now in contact with JLR engineers in the UK. One suggestion is checking vehicle wiring for a break. A car not winter driven, and driven only an average of 7,000 km per year, but nine years old. I guess so, but, I can only imagine what that entails and how long it would take.

Thankfully, I bought an extended warranty, so cost isn't too great a concern. The car is, otherwise, in great condition, so I want the issue resolved as I do love it.

I told the dealer that JLR should send techs over to do a case study on the vehicle. Ha, ha.

Has any one else out there in theJag world experienced something similar? Maybe I can pass suggestions on to my dealer.
