Nova Launcher Prime 8.8.3

What the title says. The widget is defaulting to a small piece of a search bar instead of what it should be. This isn't occurring in the default launcher, only in Nova. Resizing the widget just makes the bar awkwardly stretch out.

I've tried clearing the cache and reinstalling Claude, to no avail. Anyone have this issue or know of a fix?

I think i missclicked a setting, how to fix it?

As you can see the text becomes unreadable with white backgroud. Running nova 8.7.6.

Okay, so something very weird has started happening.

First, let me say that I’ve been running this combination of Nova Launcher and KLWP with the Persona background for about six months without any issues.

Today, however, it suddenly started glitching. That was strange, but glitches do happen occasionally because this is a pretty heavy setup. Still, they were usually very rare, so I ignored the first one. Then it happened again, but much more severely, and the entire launcher seemed to reset.

Everything went black, including all the apps and other elements within the launcher. The notification panel was unaffected, but I assume that is controlled by Samsung rather than Nova.

Afterward, when I tried to return to the home screen, my phone asked me to set Nova Launcher as the default launcher, even though it was already set as the default, as you can see in the video. I selected Nova as the default again, hoping that would fix everything and I could forget about it. Unfortunately, it happened two more times within approximately 30 minutes, so there is definitely something wrong.

Some important notes:

- My device is a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra running the latest software update.

- Nova Launcher, KLWP, and all my other apps are also updated to their latest versions.

- I don’t think this is a KLWP issue because the background itself never resets when these problems occur. Normally, if something goes wrong with KLWP or I restart the phone, it takes approximately 30 seconds for the background to load fully. This time, however, the background remained perfectly normal throughout everything. That leads me to suspect either Nova Launcher or Samsung.

- I haven’t installed or changed anything new within the last day that I can think of. The problem simply started happening and continued repeatedly.

- After it began, I updated everything and restarted my phone, hoping that would solve it, but it didn’t.

Also, yes, I know the background and the whole setup are a little cringe, but I’ve gotten used to them. I tried switching back to One UI, and while it isn’t bad, it absolutely cannot compete with this setup. This is simply faster and more fun, lol.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. If a developer from the Nova Launcher team could offer any advice, I would really appreciate it.

Wanted to share my latest clean and minimal setup! I went with a stark, high-contrast monochrome look splitting the screen horizontally between a rough black texture on top and a bright white concrete texture on the bottom. The widgets handle the system info flawlessly on top, while the clean outline icons align perfectly along the bottom half. Let me know what you think!

Just sad i have to pay that, like its 30 dollars
