We’re thinking about buying a condo townhouse in Oakville and would really appreciate some advice from current owners.
One thing I’m trying to understand is the long-term trend with maintenance fees. I know annual increases are normal and expected due to inflation and rising costs, but I’m more concerned about larger increases or the possibility of special assessments down the road. Have maintenance fees in your complex generally been predictable, or have there been any significant jumps over the years?
With two daughters, I’m trying to make sure I have a realistic understanding of all the ongoing costs before we commit to such a big purchase.
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences—both positive and negative—with condo townhouse ownership in Oakville, especially regarding maintenance fee increases, reserve funds, and whether you’ve ever had to deal with a special assessment.
