Is there any way to repair this Quest 2 headstrap at home?

My quest 2 has been collecting dust for a year. After using it for like 20 mins the top headband fell apart and I'm not sure how to put it back together. Given that it's just a piece of velcro and some glue I gather it's somehow possible to fix without being a replacement part but I'm not sure how. Does anybody have any resources that could help? I doubt Im the first this has happened to

Hi everyone!

I’ve made a new trailer for my game Xenolocus, and I’d like to share the atmosphere I’m trying to create.

The game takes place on the lower levels of a base where something has clearly gone wrong.

Contact with the armory is lost, no one is responding, and everything around feels tense and abandoned.

You’ll have to fight your way through xenos, keep an eye on the motion tracker, and gather ammunition

while a giant xenos soldier sweeps everything in its path.

Hidden in the dark rooms of the laboratory are many mysteries

waiting to be uncovered - the megacorporation’s military experiments and the secrets of an ancient alien civilization.

What do you think about the game’s atmosphere?

I’m currently working toward a demo, so I’ll be sharing more soon.

What’s the wire on the headset for?

So a bit of background. My brother gifted me the headset a few years ago, and I’ve used it regularly, but he gave it to me having used it himself, so I never got an owner’s manual or anything like that. So I actually never knew what the actual hardware on this thing is like.

I could look it up but you guys here would explain it much quicker than digging through the online instructions or whatever.

Also what’s the port on the back end for? I assume it’s some kind of battery pack or something but never hurts to ask.

Can’t register for Payday playtest – system says I’m under 18 even though I was born in 1982

Post:

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to sign up for the Payday playtest, but the registration keeps telling me that I’m under 18 and blocks me from continuing.

My birth year is 1982, so I’m definitely not under 18. I’ve double-checked the date I entered and it’s correct.

Has anyone else run into this age verification issue?

Is there a known fix, or is there another way to register / contact support about it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How to fix this issue

I have a quest 2 vr headset for 3 years now when I first got it I used it a lot maybe I’ve had 1-2 accidents where I hit the wall with my hand and the controller and at some point the right controller wouldn’t connect and it would flash violently and never connect but I fixed it I moved to a different place and found my ve headset it works perfectly fine and so does the left controller but my right controller doesn’t flash or vibrate I changed the battery cleaned the battery port and made sure the battery holder wasn’t rusty and even out foil on the ends where the battery goes and it still doesn’t work my left works fine with the same battery as the right but when I put a new charger battery on the right one it doesn’t turn on or even vibrate what do I do?

My VR rhythm action game, Shatter Flow, is coming to Meta Quest on August 20!

Hey everyone!

After months of prototyping, playtesting, and polishing, we're excited to finally share that Shatter Flow, our fast-paced VR rhythm action game, is releasing on Meta on August 20!

The idea behind Shatter Flow was simple: create a game that feels incredibly satisfying to play. You blast your way through physics-based glass obstacles, dodge hazards, take on bosses, and try to stay in sync with the action as everything around you reacts to your shots.

Over the past few months, we've made a lot of improvements based on community feedback, including new mechanics, better level design, and more dynamic obstacles. Seeing players enjoy the game and suggest ideas has honestly been one of the most rewarding parts of development.

If you're into arcade-style VR games that reward quick reflexes and chasing high scores, you will love Shatter Flow!

Thanks for checking it out!

We have just released a new update that adds a hallucinatory version of the "Jail on Rails" level

While the previous update introduced Room 17 to the game, this update expands it with hallucinatory versions of its puzzles, environment, and additional clues waiting to be discovered.

The moving train compartment housing the machine that interacts with the Mediums' energy was already terrifying. But once you begin to perceive it through an altered state of consciousness, its hidden nature and sinister mechanisms reveal themselves.

Owners of Early Access on Meta can download the update now.

Interesting Problem

I have tried so many things. Nothing seems to be working at this time. Here’s the issue.

When I am using the meta quest link with cable, and running steam vr games, my headset stops receiving/displaying visual input from the game after about 30 minutes. I still receive audio, and my microphone is still able to work, but the visuals are not showing on the quest. When I look at the screen, I see that my headset is still able to track and send that tracking data, so it seems that the headset visuals are the only thing affected by this. Any ideas for what to do?

Stuff I have tried (will be updated as needed)
Restarting: Works for a bit, but the same issue happens, often faster.

Resource supplies at the survivor's bases.

The world of the VR game Xenolocus is harsh.

Resources at the base are extremely limited.

Your task is to prevent supplies from reaching

a critical level - if they fall too low,

the survivors at the base will die!

link keeps disconnecting

Hey so I'm trying to play DCS on my Quest 2. Everytime I plug in my USB 3.0 5Gbps cable and I try to turn on Link it connects for a split second and disconnects right away. Air Link works normally. I tried switching USB ports on my PC, updating my graphics drivers, upgrading the Quest 2 and the Meta Horizon app, nothing worked. Has anyone ever experienced this or can anyone help me?

Broken bobovr m2 pro

My son bought me a Quest 2 and Bobovr m2 pro for last Christmas, and I've been enjoying it regularly. I have never dropped it, abused it, or done anything that could cause damage. However, the forehead strap broke, so I can't really tighten the headset. In fact, only thing I can figure that may have caused this was I have a weird shaped head, so I always had issues getting it to stay tight on my head. Their customer support sucks, and they said they won't do anything to help me because it's for a Q2 and they don't support it anymore. I was hoping maybe I could find someone that had a junk one I could scavenge a forehead strap from before I shell out money on eBay for another one and hope I dont get ripped.
