Seats for Oregon Game?

My father in law is a die hard Buckeyes fan, and for a present we are traveling to Columbus for a weekend and I am getting tickets to the OSU-Oregon game. Any recommendations for where to sit? He would probably love to be in a more “rowdy” section of the stadium (standing is fine with us), and he constantly talks about the band, so maybe somewhere with a good view of the band?

He has been a fan his entire life and has never been to a game, so I want to make this special. Don’t need the absolute cheapest tickets, but don’t want to spend a thousand per ticket either.

Be honest: what is the minimum acceptable result for Ohio State this season?

Ryan Day told The Script there's no such thing as rebuilding at Ohio State because the standard doesn't change.

So let's actually put that standard to the test.

With this roster and this schedule, what's the minimum that would make you consider this season successful?

Beat Michigan?
Big Ten title?
CFP semifinal?
National championship or bust?

I'm curious where Buckeye fans actually draw the line.

Best hotels and tickets for the Ohio state Maryland game for Maryland fans

My friends and I are current Maryland grad students and we were looking to plan a trip to Columbus for the Maryland Ohio State game during our Fall break. I wanted recommendations for hotels to stay at that are close by Ohio stadium ? One of our friends family is from the area but he doesn’t really know the hotel scene in the city. What section will a lot of away fans be sitting in ? Thanks.

Ryan Day says Ohio State has the best coaching staff in the country. Do you agree?

The Script posted this quote from Ryan Day at Big Ten Media Days:

“I think we’ve put together the best coaching staff in the nation.”

Obviously Day is going to back his own guys, but looking at this staff top to bottom, I don't think it's that crazy of a statement.

Where would you rank Ohio State's staff nationally right now? And which coach on the staff are you most confident in heading into this season?

Are Bo Jackson and Isaiah West good enough to recreate what Ohio State had with Judkins and Henderson?

Beanie brought this up on The Script and that's obviously the dream scenario.

The last time Ohio State had two legit starting-caliber backs sharing the workload, Judkins and Henderson helped them win a national championship and both ended up going in the second round.

Now Isaiah West is getting first-team reps and Beanie thinks his explosiveness and low center of gravity could make him a perfect complement to Bo.

I'm not saying they're Judkins and Henderson yet, but could this backfield eventually get close to that level?

Hotel rooms available for the Maryland game

My wedding is Saturday October 10th. The day of the Maryland game, we have a block of rooms downtown at the Hilton that has been under utilized by our wedding guests… and we’re on the hook for a lot of rooms that we desperately don’t want to get charged for.

If you are coming into town for the game we have several rooms available Friday and Saturday night that are at a discounted rate of $299 per night. Compared to the $500 a night the hotel is currently charging.
