@onefive Urunemu #41 (GUMI & SOYO) Full English Translation

I was asked if I could translate @onefive's weekly FM Yokohama radio show Urunemu. So, here is a first trial run of this with the most recent episode (#42 airs in a few hours). I have to admit that I listen to Urunemu only quite randomly, but this one actually has Tsugu playing the chikuwa flute! And Soyo has a go as well.

I'm very much experimenting with the format here and might continue doing these for future episodes as well, so any feedback and suggestions are very welcome. Especially about the presentation and what would make these easiest to use, or if it's even useful in the first place. I guess the idea here is that you could listen along while reading the translation (the episode is linked below), I've put timestamps on the segments.

Urunemu #41 — GUMI × SOYO

00:00 — Opening: Swimming Day

GUMI: It’s past 3:30 in the morning. Good evening!

BOTH: We’re @onefive!

SOYO: I’m SOYO, the first-look killer.

GUMI: And I’m GUMI, the laid-back big sister.

GUMI: This is FM Yokohama’s When Four Childhood Friends of the Same Age Get Together, It's Too Noisy to SleepUrunemu for short. Thanks for joining us again tonight!

SOYO: Thank you!

GUMI: Like last week, it’s SOYO and GUMI again. And now that midnight has passed, today, August 14, is Swimming Day.

GUMI: And I don’t think it would be an exaggeration to say that when you think of swimming, you think of SOYO.

SOYO: That’s right. I am a swimming person.

GUMI: [laughs]

SOYO: Now I sound like KANO.

GUMI: True.

SOYO: I took swimming lessons from the time I was one year old until I was ten. I made it to the class right below the competitive-swimmer course. I was still in elementary school, but I was swimming together with middle schoolers.

GUMI: That’s amazing. We’ve gone swimming together as a group too — at hotel pools and things. How many times have we gone to a pool together? About twice?

SOYO: Yeah, I think twice.

GUMI: Twice? Right... And both times, you put on goggles and started swimming for real.

SOYO: I did. I put on my golden, gleaming goggles and went for it.

GUMI: And also SOYO’s goggles aren’t the kind with a nice soft rubber seal where you just pop them on. They’re the kind you tighten down — gichi!

SOYO: Deep-fitting style.

GUMI: They fit right along the bones around your eyes. She swims in these serious and awful-looking goggles.

SOYO: I honestly love swimming.

GUMI: [laughs]

SOYO: I was number one, too. In swimming class in elementary and middle school, I’d even overtake the boys! I’d say, “We don’t need no play time! Let’s do a relay!”, when I was little! It’s honestly embarrassing looking back on it.

SOYO: I’d be there swimming in a proper competition swimsuit, and even my cap was one of those tight rubber ones that snaps onto your head. That takes me back...!

GUMI: You’d never imagine it looking at SOYO now.

SOYO: First-look killer here.

GUMI: Well, since it’s Swimming Day, please go swimming.

SOYO: I will!

GUMI: Also, at the time we’re recording this, Summer Jungle and Dekami Matsuri haven’t happened yet, but apparently by the time this airs they’ll already be over.

SOYO: I wonder how they went...

GUMI: I’m excited for both.

SOYO: They’re both big live events, aren't they. It's nerve-racking!

GUMI: Me too. We’ll do our best.

SOYO: I’m really looking forward to seeing Dekami-chan too.

GUMI:: Soo true. Really looking forward to it...

SOYO: I’m nervous.

02:35 — Listener Message: Learning from Other Idols

SOYO: All right. We’re going to do that thing where we read messages now. Here we go! This is from radio name Indo, listening in Tokyo. Thank you!

GUMI: Thank you!

SOYO (reading): “Good evening, @onefive. You’re appearing at a lot of festivals this summer. I’m planning to come support you at as many as I can.

GUMI: Thanksies! ["arigacho"]

SOYO (reading): “At summer festivals, I imagine you share events with a lot of other idols. When you watch other idols perform, are there things beyond the singing and dancing — their MCs, the way they hype the crowd, the distance they keep with the audience, and so on — that make you think, ‘Oh, that’s another way you can present a live show,’ and inspire you?

“And when you see something like that, do you ever think, ‘If @onefive did it, I’d like us to express it this way’? I’d love to hear about it.”

GUMI: Thank you very much.

SOYO: Thank you!

GUMI: There are so many things like that, aren’t there? Things that inspire us.

SOYO: Really a lot. And, um... not just at festivals. We get to go see other idols’ concerts too, and things like the sheer amount of energy they put out are really impressive. Since SOYO is in charge of the crowd-hyping, feel like there’s a lot I can learn from that. Like CiON. For example, Aika-chan from CiON... she’ll lie down during a live, and like... sing facing upward, right?

GUMI: Yeah.

SOYO: I thought that was amazing!

GUMI: Facing upward. She’ll lie on her back on a platform or something, facing upward.

SOYO: Right. I thought it looked so cool that I wanted to try it myself, so at the outdoor stage the other day I tried looking upward a little. [laughs]

GUMI: Just a little bit.

SOYO: Just a little bit, for now.

GUMI: But if either of us is going to do that kind of really high-energy thing, I think it’s you, SOYO. So I’m expecting big things.

SOYO: Right. I’ll use CiON as my model and work on it.

GUMI: And then... there’s that kind of line too — “You guys better not be slacking off!”

GUMI: I think that’s incredible.

SOYO: I'm like "Sooo cool...!"

GUMI: I want to try saying something like that. I haven’t really done much crowd-hyping myself yet.

SOYO: Want to try it?

GUMI: “What the hell are you doing?!” "Don’t slack off!"

SOYO: But GUMI-chan’s crowd-hyping is really good too. What was it again? At some live, maybe the Osaka one, you said something like, “Come on, do it properly!”

GUMI: [laughs]

SOYO: You said that, right?

GUMI: True.

SOYO: You kinda feel like you appreciate it when the laid-back big sister is talking down to you like that and telling you to get it together.

GUMI: I’d like to keep an eye out for the right moment and do more of that.

SOYO: Please do.

GUMI: So, that being said, apparently tonight we’re doing an extremely summery segment.

SOYO: Oh?

GUMI: Look forward to it! This is FM Yokohama Urunemu. Stay with us again tonight on this noisy, sleepless night.

05:05 — Program Information and Song

GUMI: We’re waiting for your live-posting and impressions during the broadcast. The hashtag is #うるねむ, written in hiragana. Send messages through the program message form; you can find it on the Urunemu page on FM Yokohama’s website.

GUMI: And now, please listen to a song: @onefive, “Invincible☆ME mode.”

05:25 — Summer Vacation Independent Research

GUMI: This is FM Yokohama’s When Four Childhood Friends of the Same Age Get Together, It's Too Noisy to Sleep. Once again, good evening, this is @onefive’s

SOYO: SOYO, the first-look killer,

GUMI: And I’m GUMI, the laid-back big sister!

SOYO: Yay!

GUMI: So, we’re already in the middle of August, right in the middle of summer vacation, so tonight on Urunemu, we bring you this project. Its title is...

GUMI: “Since it’s summer anyway, wasshoi, wasshoi! Let’s wasshoi, wasshoi our way through some summer-vacation-ish things, turn them into summer memories — un, un, un, un, dokko-dokkoisho! — and do an independent research project... ihihi-na-ken!” In short...

SOYO: i hi hiiii!

SOYO: That's it, "i-hi-hii".

GUMI: That’s long!

SOYO: It's pretty long today too.

GUMI: So tonight, we’re going to do Urunemu-style summer-vacation independent research.

SOYO: Independent research...

GUMI: Take it seriously, work hard, and let’s make it a wonderful summer memory!

SOYO: What are we even doing?

GUMI: The two of us are making a memory together.

SOYO: Right here? A summer memory?

GUMI: Yes, apparently we are.

SOYO: Then if we get asked in an interview, “What did you do this summer?” we’ll work hard so we can answer with this.

GUMI: We will. All right, let’s get straight into the first one. Here it is:

SOYO: dodon!

06:40 — Research #1: The Chikuwa Flute

GUMI: “Perform one summer song on a chikuwa fluteeee!”

GUMI: Why?

SOYO: Why?! Why a chikuwa flute?

GUMI: Because my special skill is the chikuwa flute.

SOYO: What do you mean?

GUMI: That’s something I started calling a “special skill” around sixth grade. I don’t think I’ve done it in four or five years.

SOYO: Longer than that.

GUMI: Longer, probably. The last time was around middle school, so I really haven’t had anything to do with chikuwa for more than five years.

SOYO: You haven’t had anything to do with chikuwa.

GUMI: Exactly. So if you asked me right now whether the chikuwa flute is still one of my special skills, I honestly don’t even know if I can do it anymore.

GUMI: A chikuwa flute is exactly what it sounds like. You take a chikuwa and use it like a flute to make a sound. That’s the chikuwa flute. It's simple.

GUMI: So today we’re going to try performing a summer song on the chikuwa flute.

SOYO: [laughs] Can you do it?

GUMI: That's what's written here, but the truth is, I can only make one note.

GUMI: But before the expert goes, we’ll start with a chikuwa-flute beginner...

SOYO: Me? I’m a chikuwa-flute beginner.

GUMI: Yes. We’ll start with SOYO-san’s performance. Shall we at least announce the song?

SOYO: Okay, um... “GO GO Summer!”

GUMI: “GO GO Summer!”

> T/N: "GO GO Summer" by KARA is apparently Soyo's favorite summer song, as per their Odo Uta Tengoku appearance here.

SOYO: Here I go. You have to eat a little bit of it first, right?

GUMI: Right. You eat some and shape it into the right form.

SOYO: I tried shaping this one a little earlier. Maybe this side will work better. Here I go.

[SOYO blows into the chikuwa.]

SOYO: It won’t come out! This is difficult.

[SOYO tries again.]

GUMI: That's not very good, is it?

SOYO: I can’t do it!

GUMI: Thank you very much.

SOYO: Thank you. That was “GO GO Summer!” How was it?

GUMI: Amazing. I could really feel it coming from the heart.

SOYO: Thank you very much.

GUMI: No actual note came out, though. The air just passed straight through.

SOYO: So what do I do?

GUMI: I don’t really know. It's kinda unreliable. But first of all, your mouth angle is wrong. You don’t blow straight into the hole in the chikuwa. The opening has to face downward, like this.

SOYO: Like this?

GUMI: Yeah. Do you get it? Everyone listening, try it yourselves. Keep the hole down, set it down here against your lip, and blow downward across it.

[SOYO tries again.]

GUMI: Oh, that sounds like it’s about to come out!

SOYO: Oh wow!

GUMI: Listen, listen!

SOYO: There are signs of a note now!

GUMI: It’s basically the same principle as a flute. I was in concert band,

SOYO: Oh, so that’s why.

GUMI: I played flute, so that part makes sense to me.

SOYO: I still can’t make a sound...

SOYO: Thank you very much. For the instruction.

SOYO: Now, switching over to advanced chikuwa-flute player GUMI-shi. GUMI-san, what will you be performing for us?

GUMI: I think I’ll do “GO GO Summer!” too.

SOYO: All right. Then here is GUMI-san performing “GO GO Summer!” Please go ahead!

[GUMI blows the chikuwa flute.]

GUMI: I did it!

SOYO: Wonderful!

GUMI: I can only make one note, but I did it! That was “GO GO Summer!” just now, right?

SOYO: Mm-hm, yeah. There wasn’t exactly a musical scale involved, but the fighting spirit came through!

SOYO: So is this what is called your chikuwa-flute special skill?

GUMI: I need to practice. Back in the day, I could just take a bite and immediately make the sound, "wow, 'GO GO Summer!' is playing"...

GUMI: [laughs] I used to be able to bite it into shape and play right away, so, um... I’ve regressed a bit.

SOYO: That’s no good. You have to keep at it.

GUMI: I will. Honestly, I think it would be pretty funny if I took up the chikuwa flute again at age twenty-one.

SOYO: True.

GUMI: I want to get the laughs.

SOYO: “The laid-back big sister — chikuwa flute.”

GUMI: So maybe I’ll start practicing again.

SOYO: That was good research.

GUMI: Was this actually independent research?

SOYO: It was chikuwa research!

GUMI: Chikuwa research.

GUMI: So our first independent research project was chikuwa research. How was it?

SOYO: It was fun. I’ll work hard so I can play it too. SOYO-chan too.

GUMI: SOYO too, keep working at it.

SOYO: OK!

11:25 — Research #2: Cute Research

GUMI: And now the second independent research project. Here it is,

SOYO: Dodon! “Kawaii Research!”

GUMI: Wonderful.

SOYO: If there’s one field that SOYO specializes in, it’s kawaii.

GUMI: Yes.

SOYO: This time, we’re going to seriously research kawaii even more deeply. And of course GUMI-chan will be joining me.

GUMI: Yes! ...not cute.

SOYO: So, if we’re talking about the number-one starting point of “kawaii,” it has to be kawaii words. We’ll research what kinds of phrases are good and how you should say them to sound kawaii. Let's gooo~!

SOYO: The script itself is written in a kawaii way now.

GUMI: Yeah! Suddenly it’s covered in kawaii emoji. Nice.

SOYO: I did a little preparation beforehand. I thought up some things and tried to remember phrases I’ve used before, so I’ll do my best.

SOYO: I’ll go first as the example.

GUMI: Go ahead.

SOYO: Even though I supposedly specialize in kawaii, I’m never exactly eager to say kawaii lines. This kind of thing isn’t really my strong suit. But I’ll try.

GUMI: Do your best.

SOYO: All right: SOYO gets kawaii in, three, two, one... kyurun!

SOYO: “Fall in love with SOYO!”

GUMI: You say that one a lot.

SOYO: Thank you very much. How was it?

GUMI: If you come check us out at our shows, you get to hear that live.

SOYO: I point right at you, do this little kurukuru-pyon! twirl, and cast a spell on you. And I feel like it lands especially hard on people who are meeting me for the first time.

GUMI: People aren’t expecting it. Normally you’d expect something more like just “I like you,” right? They don’t expect you to hit them with such a full-force, classic idol line. So they go, “Huh? Huh? Huh?” and then leave.

SOYO: You can see their knees give out a little.

GUMI: And then they get ushered along.

GUMI: The staff move them on while they’re still going, “Whoa... whoa...”

GUMI: I hear that one a lot from next to you.

SOYO: All right. GUMI-chan’s turn is coming up now.

GUMI: Shall we do the same line?

SOYO: The same one?

SOYO: GUMI-chan, are you ready?

GUMI: Kyurun!

SOYO: GUMI-chan gets kawaii in, three, two, one... kyurun!

GUMI: “Fall in love with GUMI!”

GUMI: My voice is all raspy!

GUMI: I’m starting to sweat. It really is summer.

SOYO: Why don’t you try another one?

GUMI: True.

SOYO: What was that other one again?

SOYO: A fan taught me this one. You say netchūshō — “heatstroke” — really slowly...

SOYO: The one that turns into “Nee, chū shiyō” — “Hey, let’s kiss.” I thought that was cute.

GUMI: True.

SOYO: I’ve borrowed that one a few times. Thank you for the fan-supplied material.

> T/N: Saying 熱中症 (netchūshō, “heatstroke”) slowly, resegments it to sound like ねえ、チューしよう (nee, chū shiyō, “Hey, let’s kiss”).

GUMI: You’re saying something that terrifying to people? If you said that to me, I’d probably just go, “Yaaay!”

SOYO: That’s the fan reaction. GUMI-san is a fan too now.

GUMI: We’ll keep working on it.

GUMI: And SOYO-san is the first-look killer, after all.

SOYO: Right.

GUMI: So you’ll have to keep getting even better at it.

SOYO: You too.

GUMI: Me too. And actually, mine connects into the next research topic.

SOYO: Really?

GUMI: Then shall we move on?

GUMI: So that was our second independent research project, “Kawaii Research.” How was it?

SOYO: It was nerve-racking.

GUMI: We really worked up a sweat.

SOYO: Ooh, what is this even?

15:03 — Research #3: Sexy Research

GUMI: Apparently there’s one more project. Our third and final independent research topic is...

SOYO: dodon!

GUMI: “Sexy Research!”

BOTH: Ugh! Gross!

GUMI: Well, you know... this is difficult. Just so everyone knows, this is in the script. I’m only being made to say it. But if there’s one field that GUMI specializes in, it’s sexiness!

GUMI: So this time, we’re going to immerse ourselves in a serious study of “sexy.” And of course SOYO-san will be joining me.

SOYO: Yeah... me too?

GUMI: Yes, yes.

SOYO: Sexy really isn’t my specialty.

GUMI: So, the number-one starting point for sexy is: sexy words.

SOYO: Words...!

GUMI: What kinds of phrases work and how you should say them to sound sexy. Let's research!

SOYO: Gross...!

GUMI: I did some research first. I asked Chappie.

> T/N: I would guess “Chappie” stands for ChatGPT.

SOYO: You’re asking Chappie? You don’t have any lines of your own? Don’t you ever want to make yourself look sexy?

GUMI: I don’t think I really say “sexy lines” much.

SOYO: Really? The sexiness just comes out?

GUMI: It’s more the way I look — how do I put it?

SOYO: It's overflowing?

GUMI: It overflows from me, so I don’t need words.

SOYO: Wow. Cool!

GUMI: So I asked Chappie and searched around in Safari, and some of the results started talking about panties and stuff.

SOYO: Please stop!

GUMI: Sorry! I was like, “No, that’s not what I mean.” I wanted something an idol can say. So I asked Chappie for that kind of line, and I’m going to use those.

SOYO: Are you going to give us a whole bunch?

GUMI: Well, earlier we had the little kyurun! cue, right? This time the cue is: “Three, two, one — SEXY!” [laughs]

GUMI: That’s so weird!

SOYO: That's funny!

SOYO: Can you do this? You’re always saying you want to be like Mine Fujiko or Dan Mitsu.

GUMI: I do. I’m aiming for Gomaki too.

> T/N: “Gomaki” is Maki Goto, formerly of Morning Musume.

SOYO: Then please. Let’s catch up to all of them today.

GUMI: What am I going to do...?

SOYO: Don’t hesitate.

GUMI: Fine. I’m ready. I’ll go first as the example.

SOYO: Right.

GUMI: GUMI gets sexy in, three, two, one... SEXY!

GUMI: “I don’t want to let you go home tonight...”

SOYO: Ugh! Gross! No! That’s so gross!

GUMI: How was it? How do you feel?

SOYO: I got goosebumps.

GUMI: [laughs] Great. Now you’re cooled off for the summer.

SOYO: True.

GUMI: Like hearing a ghost story.

SOYO: Do people actually get butterflies from this? Do they?

GUMI: They don’t, right?

SOYO: They’d go, “Ughhh...” Terrifying.

GUMI: Sexy lines are hard, aren’t they? The balance is kind of scary.

SOYO: Yeah, it is.

GUMI: Ah, right! If I were giving advice... maybe that voice where [in an exaggerated sultry voice] you sound like you’re practically about to fall asleep?

SOYO: [in an exaggerated sultry voice] “This voice?”

GUMI: Not that kind of voice...!

SOYO: [in an exaggerated sultry voice] "Hey, it's Soyo..."

GUMI: That's not the voice...!

GUMI: So more like how laid-back you are right before going to sleep? Because being laid-back is important.

SOYO: [still in the exaggerated sultry voice] Okay. Am I saying a different line?

GUMI: Yeah. Pick one.

SOYO: I looked some up too.

GUMI: Tell me when you’re ready...

SOYO: It might turn out cute. 'Cause I'm cute.

GUMI: [laughs] Not sure about that, though.

GUMI: All right, next is SOYO-chan. Are you ready?

SOYO: Yes.

GUMI: SOYO-chan gets sexy in, three, two, one... SEXY!

SOYO: “You don't mind being this close, do you?”

GUMI: [bursts out laughing] You sounded like some middle-aged guy! Like, “Hey, you don’t mind this, right?” I hated it!

SOYO: Wasn't it sexy?

GUMI: I wonder.

SOYO: Was it sexy?

GUMI: If we’re judging sexiness, I think mine definitely wins.

SOYO: Really?

GUMI: Yeah.

SOYO: Fine, I won’t give up. Maybe I'll try it at meet-and-greets: “You don’t mind being this close, do you?”

GUMI: Mm-hm.

SOYO: If people ask for it, I’ll do it.

GUMI: So if someone says, “Do something sexy,” that’s what you’ll use.

SOYO: I will.

19:23 — Wrapping Up the “Research”

SOYO: So, how was it? I’m exhausted!

GUMI: Independent research is exhausting.

SOYO: This isn’t a summer memory...!

GUMI: It’s homework. Seriously.

SOYO: It's no good.

GUMI: So we did three projects, but it really did just turn into homework.

SOYO: That's right.

SOYO: Some of it could be useful at meet-and-greets, though. The kawaii stuff, for example.

GUMI: True. And I’ll practice the chikuwa flute. It would be funny if I can do it.

SOYO: If you manage it, post it somewhere.

GUMI: I will. I’ll put it on Reels.

SOYO: Instagram Reels?

GUMI: Yeah. I’ll post it as a Reel.

SOYO: Your Instagram is usually pretty stylish, so suddenly dropping a chikuwa-flute Reel in there would be something.

GUMI: I’ll do it.

SOYO: Please do. And next time, give it some actual pitches too.

GUMI: Okay. I’ll practice.

GUMI: Summer vacation is almost over, too, so all the students listening: don’t forget your homework.

SOYO: Please don’t.

GUMI: But don’t submit this kind of thing. “Sexy Research” and all that. It makes no sense handing that in.

SOYO: No. Please do your homework properly.

GUMI: Seriously, please.

[A short excerpt of @onefive’s “M1X5R” plays.]

20:30 — “M1X5R”: GUMI’s Part

SOYO: We just unveiled GUMI-chan’s part of “M1X5R.”

GUMI: Yes. It continues on from SOYO’s part that we played last week, right?

SOYO: Right! Please listen to them together.

GUMI: Right. If you play them back to back, they connect into one continuation.

SOYO: So you can do something like that too.

GUMI: Right.

20:48 — Closing and @onefive Announcements

GUMI: And with that, this has been FM Yokohama’s When Four Childhood Friends of the Same Age Get Together, It's Too Noisy to Sleep, for short Urunemu. It’s already time to say goodbye.

[SOYO kawaii squealing sounds]

GUMI: That was a pretty high-calorie episode.

SOYO: I’m wide awake now!

GUMI: We had a live yesterday too, so I came in today feeling pretty sleepy, but I’m completely awake now.

SOYO: Same. I could go perform a live right now!

SOYO: I could do a meet-and-greet right now.

BOTH: [very sultry voice] “You don’t mind being this close, do you?”

GUMI: [laughs] Whether that was actually sexy is another question. But it was really fun.

SOYO: Yes. Thank you.

SOYO: And now we have some announcements from @onefive.

SOYO: On August 15, we’ll be appearing at POP GALAXY 2026 in Odaiba.

SOYO: Then on August 19, we have GIGA GIGA SONIC at Toyosu PIT.

SOYO: On August 23, in Ikebukuro, we’ll be at the Oshi Fes in IKEBUKURO Girls ver., an event we often appear at. It’s an outdoor stage, so I think it’s really easy to come and watch, so it's going to be a fun show.

SOYO: Then on August 30, it’s @JAM EXPO 2026 at Yokohama Arena.

GUMI: Yokoari!

SOYO: An arena, even.

GUMI: [laughs]

SOYO: And on October 10, we’ll be appearing at SHIGA IDOL COLLECTION PREMIUM 2026. This will be a two-man live with 22/7.

SOYO: Shiga is special to me because I’ve been a regular on a radio program there for a long time, so I’m really looking forward to it. And actually going to Shiga in person... I think it’ll be my first time since middle school. Or maybe since my first year of high school? No, that might be a lie. It may really be since middle school.

GUMI: For radio work, somehow MOMO-chan and I are the ones who tend to end up going to Shiga.

SOYO: When we get split between radio work in Osaka and radio work in Shiga, it’s always, “Well, SOYO is from Osaka, so she should go to Osaka.”

GUMI: So I’ll be heading back to good old familiar Shiga again.

SOYO: I’m looking forward to it.

GUMI: Me too.

SOYO: And our Zepp tour has been confirmed as well. We’ll be at Zepp Namba on October 30 and KT Zepp Yokohama on November 10.

GUMI: I’m really excited — and nervous — about what kind of live shows they’re going to be.

SOYO: We’re going to keep telling everyone more and more about the things we want to do, make life difficult for the staff, and work hard.

GUMI: [laughs]

SOYO: So everyone, please look forward to them!

GUMI: And please keep posting your impressions of the program. The hashtag is #うるねむ in hiragana. Send messages through the program message form; you can find it on the Urunemu page on FM Yokohama’s website.

SOYO: That’s all for tonight on FM Yokohama Urunemu. This was @onefive’s

SOYO: SOYO...

GUMI: and GUMI!

GUMI: So, see you again next week!

BOTH: Bye-bye!

23:44 — Next Week

GUMI: Next week on Urunemu,

SOYO: It's the first-look killer SOYO! Next week, I’m making those other two say sexy lines too!

GUMI: What?!

SOYO: “You don’t mind being this close, do you?”

@‎onefive SOYO still knows how to take a finger gun to the chest | Odo Uta Tengoku [full highlights in post]

For context: another clip from @‎onefive's Odo Uta Tengoku appearance. Momoe is explaining the charms of Soyo to the audience, such as her "first-look killer" ability, and that backstage, Soyo goes full Kansai-ben. Naturally, this ended with the host finger-gunning the unsuspecting Soyo, who immediately took the hit with true Osakan showmanship. No gara gara bakyuun, though.

I’ve finished translating and subbing Soyo's segments from the episode as well. Other highlights include Soyo's gacha obsession and her favourite item... the microwave oven.

@onefive GUMI is still listing chikuwa flute as a special skill | Odo Uta Tengoku [Full highlights in post]

Here's a short clip: Tsugu brought up her legendary chikuwa flute special skill again on @‎onefive’s recent Odo Uta Tengoku appearance. Sadly, we didn't get a demonstration, so I guess SG Fresh! Monday #5 is still the definitive reference here.

I translated her segments from the episode, including this bit and plenty of other very Tsugu moments, such as talking about not being that flexible despite her ballet background, or still using the same pair of Asics during lessons from her middle school days.
