Just got my OnePlus 13. What am I missing?

Finally picked up a OnePlus 13 at a pretty good discount, so I figured I’d ask the OG OnePlus users here.

This is actually my first OnePlus phone, so I’m pretty much starting from scratch with OxygenOS and the OnePlus ecosystem.

What are some hidden features, underrated settings, useful shortcuts, or little tricks that you think every OnePlus 13 owner should know?

Especially interested in things that aren’t immediately obvious from the settings or that you only discover after using the phone for a while.

Also, any “turn this on immediately” / “turn this off immediately” recommendations?

Would love to hear your best tips. Hit me with the stuff you wish someone had told you when you first got your OnePlus.

This is going to happen to Oneplus 13 too

my phone started restarting after a software update and i visited service centre they diagnosed with a motherboard replacement and quoted 40k for the motherboard, unfortunately it was out of warranty. I approached a local repair shop and they reballed CPU and the issue got fixed for 3K INR

Problem with my OP13

I purchased oneplus 13 back in July 3rd (prime day sale) for RS. 50,000.

Three problems which I am facing with my new device are:

  1. I noticed "Auto Focus" is very poor. Even under bright daylight it fails to focus and I have to manually click on the object.

  2. When I charge my phone with a Samsung 25 watt charger it shows "super vooc " charging animation

  3. It’s so difficult to find a good case. I have the “Midnight Ocean,” but the case that comes in the box doesn’t do justice to the design and colour, and I can’t seem to find a good transparent case.

I haven't upgraded my device to Oxygen OS 16. Screenshot of battery performance has been taken today and the antutu score a week ago (I recorded the antutu score after a long gaming session).

I have no problem with battery or performance but video quality I feel is so so (my previous device was oneplus 9r and iPhone 13)

Please share your opinion.

Will the OnePlus 13 get the latest ODialer with ColorOS 17?

Does anyone know if the OnePlus 13 will receive the latest version of ODialer when it gets the ColorOS 17 update?

Will it be updated to the newer version/features that are available on newer OnePlus/OPPO devices.

Can anyone recommend a reliable screen protector?

I've had glass that gathered dust underneath and silicone wraps that I'd wake up to them peeled off by themselves in the morning. It's been infuriating.

What is out there for this phone? I'm in Europe btw

Thanks!

A good solid case i found

It has bit of front lips too so the gestures won't be that smooth since the edges are bit raised and it also has strong magnets . Got it fromhere .

Require help/advise.

Hey guys, I'm new to this subreddit and just got my OP13 a week ago. I went to a waterfall with my friend, the phone was inside my backpack, it got submerged and got wet. It has been more than 32 hours but all three camera lens are foggy, there is condensation formed in all three lenses. The top bezel speaker audio bleeds sometimes, it sounds distorted however everything else in the phone is working perfectly. I've taken it to the service centre but they just told me the moisture is trapped inside the camera lens and should dissipate within 4-5 days and that I should wait.

I'm freaking out because it's a brand new phone but the condensation issue is not getting solved. It disappears when phone is switched off but re-appears when I'm using it.

Can you guys please advise me on this? Did this happen to you? Requesting assistance.

Thank you.

Need insightful opinions on the purchase of used OnePlus phones

Hello all! Long post ahead. I need some opinions and different outlooks to affirm my decisions and get a different perspective. ( I am based in India btw)

I currently use the OG OnePlus Nord, been about 5-6 years. I am considering an upgrade. I am interested in getting another OnePlus device, mainly the 12, 13, 13s, and 15. This purchase would mainly be from the used market, as I feel I'll get it comparatively cheaper, and it will still last as long for me. Please do take note of the prices I'm considering.

OnePlus 12: Wanted to get this as it's supposed to be the best OnePlus, with the camera and all. However, as I researched further, I realised it wouldn't be as future-proof and would have considerably older battery tech. Also, a lot of reports of the motherboard issues, particularly for this model, made me think otherwise. Thinking of spending less than 35k INR or 365.39 USD for the 512 GB.

OnePlus 13: The same phone with more future-proofing. I think I can get used to the technical downgrade, as I am coming from a 5-year-old phone. The device is great, will work well for 3+ years. In comparison to the current market, though, the battery is less (and with the new data, that OnePlus 13 has actually a 5400 mah battery instead of 6000 mah, which was a punch in the gut).

I feel I'll get a good flagship experience with this phone. Also, despite its big size, this phone feels comfortable to hold ( without case, haven't checked with a case). Considering paying 40 to 45k for 512 GB and 50 to 60k INR or 522 to 627 USD for the 1 TB version.

OnePlus 13S: A phone I initially loved during the launch. I love the size. However, it is technically a downgrade in certain areas. As I said, for me, any phone will be an upgrade, but I would prefer a well-rounded device. I am considering this phone because of its size. Willing to pay up to 45k INR or 470.11 USD for the 512 GB version.

OnePlus 15: The latest tech. This phone would be the best for future-proofing and getting the best tech and battery. The camera, even if people say it is a downgrade, I feel it would be good enough for me. (Although the 13 or 12 might be better in low light). However, even though this phone is the same size as the 13, it feels much bigger in hand, and feels a bit uncomfortable ( without a case). The comfort isn't a major factor for me, but the 13, 13s, and the 15 are the phones I've held, and I noticed that in my first impression. Willing to pay 60 to 65k INR or $626 to $681 USD for the 512 GB.

Current OnePlus Nord: Regardless of buying a new phone, I do plan on going to a local shop and getting the device repaired a bit. I will change the battery, the stuck power button and other small issues for about less than 3-4k INR or less than 40 USD. Planning to use the Infinity X custom ROM, thus giving my device Android 16 and better performance. I can also try using banking apps.

This phone might be my secondary, mainly as a navigation device and for other stuff. I can also see myself using this phone for another 2 more years as my primary device, and maybe look at purchasing a new phone later on.

The main reason for getting a OnePlus and a new phone is because of the fact that OnePlus is shifting identities and may eventually shut down in India, and I have always wanted a OnePlus flagship. And the ongoing price hikes and all made me realise I should buy a new phone, thus futureproofing and being steady for the next 5 years. Getting from the second-hand market would help reduce the prices considerably. I also need storage, as my current phone is filled up (128 GB/ I know I can back up and free up space, so that's there).

Now, I need your actual opinions, and please, not one-line answers. Looking for people who have also researched the same, and those users who have used these devices. Also, don't be biased towards any particular phone.

Q: Is my outlook reasonable? Do you have any other devices you'd say might be a better choice in this market (second-hand market too)? Also, are the prices for the second-hand phones correct and reasonable? Let me know your perspectives and help a buddy out!

Help with back cover(Indian version). This one has pretty good front protection too. Has anyone bought this cover?

So I am in search of a good cover that can provide good side and front protection. As the screen is curved, so side protection is necessary.

I was looking at Ringke fusion x, but the design is a bit too bulky. And the price is also quite high.

Then I came across this video

https://youtu.be/r_cAaZGnrqc?t=1033

Here he showed this cover. It has magnets as well as good front protection.

Do you guys recommend this? Or any other cover with good front protection?

Thanks.

Still 100% Battery Life After 1year 5months

I bought Oneplus 13R in March 2025. Since then, I charge it twice a day, in the morning I charge it to 90%, and in night around 9 to 9:30PM, I charge it to 75-85% usually.

I am using it for 1 year 5 months, but still it shows 100% battery life. Is it some type of glitch? Also worth mentioning that, in July or August 2025, I received an update, since then battery drains slightly faster then before.

Fingerprint is NOT SAFE

My op 13 fingerprint was not safe 2 out of my 8 classmates could open it when they pressed it with 45% angle.

Of course i had applied glass protector which helped in them bypassing it but even without the glass screen protector it opened, I was so embarrassed.

Cause even the face id is 2d and not 3d like iphones

There is no way having this kinda of security can be tolerated

I was always a fan of one plus 13 speed.

But this time it has disappointed me 😞
