I noticed this yesterday that the android app repo seems to have been removed or made private. Anybody know the reason?

I get the apk from there and install via Obtainium.

Hi all, Curious what brought people here to ONLYOFFICE in the first place 😅
For me it started after getting tired of:
heavy Office installs
random microsoft office download issues
lag on my old laptop
Now I mostly use ONLYOFFICE for assignments and PDFs. What was your reason?

I've been trying to make comments on a student thesis in Word on Mac, and it has virtually ground to a halt. The screen jerks, and there is a weird glitch which makes the document suddenly jump a few pages backwards. It's virtually impossible to use. I have paid around $200 dollars for my perpetual Microsoft Office licence. The experience was so bad I needed to use alternative software. I'd downloaded OnlyOffice out of curiosity, but had not really used it, so I decided to give it a whirl. The huge file opens very quickly. Scrolling is smooth as butter. No obvious glitches. The OnlyOffice app itself takes up just over 1GB. Microsoft Office takes up around 10GB. My brief research suggests that the makers of OnlyOffice, Ascencio have only 200 employees, compared to Microsofts 228,000. They are around thousandth of the size. Mind well and truly blown.

Just wanted to express my appreciation for OnlyOffice and the Developers who made it.

I seldom use Microsoft Office because OnlyOffice is a close equivalent and works so well, and is generally compatible with Microsoft Office files.

I wrote up a guide on how to set up euro-office with filebrowser quantum and pangolin if anyone is interested.

I did not go into the setup of pangolin nor the full filebrowser setup, but the rest should help getting them working together. I can include a redacted filebrowser compose.yaml and config.yaml if requested.

Please feel free to ask questions or contribute your experiences for other setups.

I realy like OnlyOffice. Its cool and great. It much more compatable with native ms word than libre office. But there are a coople of bugs and missed basic functionality in it.

1. Multiselection with CTRL modifier. Why, just why it missed? I just want to hold CTRL, select multiple parts of text and apply bold/italic to it. It's not so complicated, but why it's missed?
2. Annoying bug with caret while tying and editing document. Sometimes, when I navigating in text with arrows keys and start typing or deleting, it starts to apply it to previous cursor position and it's super annoying. Caret on screen in right position, but after any letter or backspace press it just jumps to point where previous operation ended, before navigation. Lol

Hey Guys, I cant find information on how often it saves recovery data for text files, also auto save locally can be easy to add , but is only cloud feature ?

Great software.

It seems the editor is not picking up the higher line scroll setting set on the mouse. i.e Scrolls with 3 lines or so, very slow. Isnt there a registry for that ?

That and the auto save... the only to things I need to fix, and this is effectively replacing MS Word.. right away.

Hey..I’m a student trying to avoid paying for the usual download microsoft office setup every year and started testing ONLYOFFICE recently.

Most of my work is:

essays

presentations

shared DOCX files

spreadsheets

Honestly compatibility has been better than I expected so far. I’ve seen a lot of Linux users mention ONLYOFFICE because it handles Microsoft formats better than older free alternatives in some situations. For students using it daily...Do you run into major formatting issues with professors/classmates using Microsoft Office? Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

I have only been using OnlyOffice Desktop Editor for Mac for about a week so I apologize if this is really basic, but I've looked for a solution and can't find it anywhere so I'm asking here: I am accustomed to using commands from the topbar menu as opposed to the keyboard (e.g. Edit>Select All rather than typing command-A ) but most of the menu commands are greyed out and unavailable, and there doesn't appear to be a way to change this in Settings. Am I missing something obvious? Am I only allowed to use keyboard commands? Thanks!

I, I have this proble that when I try to add "=" to the the and of an equation onlyoffice crash and pop up this error message:

after that position your cursor at the end of the equation whitout entering the math editor like this:

press 1 time "left arrow key" to enter the math editor, like this:

after that type "=" and onlyoffice crash

Can somebody help?
