The new version was supposed to be faster, but it is the slowest of all tools in the world!

I compared the old versions *3.3.0): around 60 FPS, and the new version 0.5 FLS - 1 FPS!!!!!!!!!! A complete performance disaster, exporting will take a week. I have a very powerful PC, lots of RAM, 10 cores, powerful graphics, and a fast SSD.

I am using version 3.5.1 | 0.7.0 on Windows 11. When I click the play button it turns to the pause button but the screen is black and there's no audio. The tracks aren't locked (I can drag the slider, but the same thing happens from the new position.

The view is not frozen. The buffer says there's plenty of memory. I have tried reopening the project, opening another project, making a new project, restarting Openshot, restarting my computer and reinstalling Openshot.

Any help would be appreciated.

When I loaded OpenShot, it started with what looked like the previous project file. It tried to load the source file for this project, which was now deleted. It couldn't find it, and didn 't give me an option to get out of this old project and start a new one.

The way I stopped the program doing this, was to load another source file in OpenShot.

I already looked here for answers, but nothing applied to me. I'm using the same version of Openshot (V3) that I have been using for weeks, no changes to the preferences, and my file paths went unchanged. literally no changes—I saved my project witht the same name I gave it, in the same file path, with the same files in the same folder. Don't know why I'm even getting the error if everything was left unchanged. I'd really like an answer to this—mostly cus I don't wanna redo my project again. I didn't even do that much to the project; it was new.

I'd not heard of this until yesterday, it's nice to see a nice open source editor out there! I was able to figure out some basics pretty quickly, so I'm excited (I learned on a 'linear' editing setup w/decks and a controller, lol).

On macos though, it seems like something is off with the DPI setting. Throughout the OS things are legible (see screenshot - openshot is open and sitting over a browser window for comparison), but OpenShot's text and really, the size of everything feels a bit off, like it's maybe thinking it's on a much lower DPI screen. I see some adjustments for this in the OpenShot documentation, but it's all for the Windows version.

Also attaching display settings - not looking to change these as everything is correct for all other apps. This is a 16" M1 MBP running macos 26.5 ("tahoe"), FWIW.

Bonjour, ça fait plusieurs fois que je suis obligé de décaler le son avant export, pour pas qu'il ne soit décalé à l'arrivée.

Sur le projet dans open shot, c'est OK, mais à l'export, l'image est décalée avec un léger retard... Je suis donc obligé de décaler le son (qui n'est donc plus bon dans le logiciel) pour qu'à l'export ça soit bon. Pas très pratique tout ça, surtout pour des clips musicaux !

I'm trying to clip a screen recording and every time I export the video, the footage flickers/stutters or it only exports a video with no footage but audio. I need help.

First, let me say OpenShop is a great app, I use it all the time. I use ElevenLabs and HayGen to produce videos. I also use ElevenLabs to generate VTT files for captioning in OpenShot where I do some final editing and add the captions. ElevenLabs has a "feature" where it Adds "Cue-1, Cue-2, etc." before the caption timestamp. I have yet to find a way to turn this off in ElevenLabs. It would be nice if OpenShot would just ignore it. Yes, have a way to post process the file (a macro in NotePad++), but it would be nice if I didn't have to. (It would also be nice if ElevenLabs would follow standard VTT practices!)

Having what appears to be a common issue with Openshot 3.51 where the separate exported audio track (converted both to MP3 and WAV for comparison) clips and crackles for no apparent reason. I was really liking this editor until finding out about this really annoying error and seeing the "fix" is to make sure the sample rates match when there's no obvious way to check that (previous advice dates to 2020 and a lot has clearly changed in 6 years...) so I'm at an impasse and considering using different software. Massive shame as this is a substantial upgrade from the misery that is Microsoft Clipchamp but this is just a stupid error that's only now come up after dozens of exports with no settings changed whatso ever.

voila j'ai mis la dernière version de open shot et j'ai un problème avec. avant je pouvait faire avancer ou reculer la ligne de temps avec le droite gauche de la roulette de ma sourie la je peux plus le faire c'est un peu genant surtout que le curseur en bas et tout petit. je suis sure qu'il y a une astuce mais je la connais pas.

deuxieme chose, avant quand on importait un fichier il etait mis en bas maintenant il se met par ordre alphabétique je pense donc faut le retrouver dans le tas de fichier.

comme je suis sur un film de plus d'une heure imaginez le truc.

Does anyone know if this is possible in Openshot?

Drone video and then during the video the outline of a property is traced/animated on the video. Guessing this will involve motion tracking but just not sure how (or if it's capable of animating lines on the video. Seems to be common on many other platforms.

I'm used to Movie maker to make birthday videos and I'm trying OpenShot.

I've a problem in switching pictures : when I want to move a picture before another one, it goes above it (instead of moving the one below).

Do you've a solution ?

I went to export a project I'd finished, but the playback speed on the preview was slowed down. Checked the properties on all the video files used but they all said 1.000 on time. Closed the project and reopened and suddenly it was back to normal.

Why did this happen and how do I know it won't export a slowed down video?

I've been editing( 1st time ) for a while now and im trying to preview the 1st 1m15s of my vid and nothing is showing up. How would I go about fixing it?
