Anyone else noticing more Astro Bot hate lately?

Idk if its just me or whatever, but I feel in recent times opinion on this game has reversed? Im seeing a lot more "Astro Bot is cameo slop its for idiots to clap like a seal and go "I GET THAT REFERENCE!!!!!", "Astro Bot is an industry plant game nobody gives a shit about this slop", "Astro Bot is just reheating mario's leftovers from 15 years ago" and so on.

I just wanna know if anyone else is noticing more negativity around the game lately or if its just me, and what might have caused it? Its not the recent Sony physical controversy since it started weeks before that.

Obv it doesn't matter what other people think, I just think its weird seeing the general opinions all over shift suddenly lol.

Rewatching Jackass Forever makes me wanna see them do more games.

With stuff like the trivia game and the quiet game, It kinda makes me wish we got some kinda Jackass game show or a movie focused on games like that.

I'm so tired of time trials in platformers.

I am a huge platformer gal, its my favorite genre of game, but has anyone else noticed that, in both the AAA and indie side of things, 3D platformers have become way shorter than normal and are padded out with time trials? I feel so many games lately are a case of "If you don't go for time trials you beat the game in like 2-3 hours max and dont get a full experience" and "if you go for 100% you have to beat an absurdly annoying time trial and get gold"?

Off the top of my head, Crash 4 is like this. Bubsy 4D is like this. Demon Turf is like this. Kaze and the Wild Masks is like this. Sackboy a Big Adventure iirc is like this. Grapple Dog is like this. Frogun is like this. Pac Man World 2 Re-Pac is like this. Super Sami Roll is kinda like this, though i guess thats a bit different, etc.

I know this has been a thing since at least Crash 3, if not earlier, but genuinely feel like its 90% of platformers. Im just tired of beating a level and "ok now beat it without dying fast". Normally I'd just not 100% it and not go for time trials, but again for a lot of these the game will be absurdly short if you don't do them.

Thats not even to mention that I feel a lot of platformers are padded out in general nowadays. Demon Turf and Crash 4 making you play alternate versions of the same levels, stuff like Yoshi's Crafted World iirc making you play the same level multiple times forwards and backwards and so on, etc.

I hope I'm not crazy and imagining this.

Dunno what to do with Bubsy 4d?

I started Bubsy 4D and spent 1-2 hours on the 1st time trial and hated every second of the time trial, then gave up. Then I started 1-1 and hated the time trial just as much and have been trying for 40+ minutes. I am 2-3 hours into this game and I am still on 1-1.

The issue is, I was told if you don't go for the Time Trials, Bubsy 4D is insultingly short and lacking in substance, so I don't wanna NOT 100% it and beat the game in like 2 hours, but these time trials are genuinely miserable and clearly awful padding.

I don't know, what do you think? Like do i spend another 2-3 hours trying this time trial or just say fuck it and beat it not 100% and feel like i overspent on it?

Does SlackerMagician use ai?

Dunno what tag to put so I just picked one uh...SlackerMagician is where I usually get a lot of my archetypal support art from that I post here, but people told me they use gen Ai, does anyone know if this is true? If so then I'd rather not use their art since I do not support gen Ai in any way, even with something silly like this, so I would genuinely feel disgusted if I use them.

My guess would be they don't because they've been posting cards since 2016, way before gen AI was a thing, but they do post a lot card art commonly?

I dunno if this kinda post is even allowed, I just am seeing mixed answers in other places.

Make outlines less ugly?

Hi, so I'm making thumbnails and logos for my Youtube channel, and I notice that on most images I add an outline to, that outline is pixely/blurry/off looking? I dunno if the pictures/screenshots make it easy to tell.

But I've seen other images made on paintdotnet that don't have this issue. Is there a way to make it look better? Im using the "Outline Object" tool in the third image.

Infamous gaming moments you never had a problem with?

What are some infamously bad/hard/etc moments in games that you personally never found issue with?

For me I have two:

1.) Whitney' Miltank in Gold/Silver/Crystal. I lost to her once and, I guess since I had a type chart from a gaming magazine, after my first loss I caught a Geodude/Traded for the Onix and came back with something that had huge defense and resisted stomp and rollout., so I never personally had the struggle of spending ages grinding to stand a chance.

2.) Riku fight in Kingdom Hearts 1. Infamous in the community for being a bit of a difficulty spike in the game, I was lucky enough to have one of my friends' older siblings tell me how to cheese the fight before I even got there, and I managed to do so in my first 1-2 tries.

Games that came out after your childhood that you find okay, but know you would have ADORED as a child?

What are some video games that came out after your childhood that you think are okay or bad, but you know that if you had that game as a child it would have been a game you adored and loved?

I think Yooka Laylee would have been up there for me, probably Sonic Forces too. :)

Is GMX the biggest turnaround on a deck in a while?

When GMX were announced, before I even read them I saw dozens upon dozens of "This is the worst archetype I have ever seen" "Welp, TCG did it again, unplayable garbage" "They have to be making these bad on purpose" "Who let the TCG team design cards again? :/" "The new Tistina and War Rock", hell I even saw one saying if you played the deck in GOAT or Edison it would still get destroyed. Its not even a first wave thing, when we got the second I STILL saw "Worst deck ever" "Second wave is garbage" etc.

But apparently its pretty decent in Genesys and has some relevant tops and is deck that I'm seeing discussed more in a meta or rogue talks.

I know decks had turnarounds before, like Purrely was seen as garbage iirc but that was moreso a hindsight thing and then getting good after another support wave and you have stuff like Salamangreat which were apparently so bad first wave that Rata said he would make a Legacy of the Worthless on them if they still did them, but I feel this is one of the bigger "DECK IS UNPLAYABLE DOG SHIT WHOEVER MADE ITS A MORON" turn into actual decent success this fast.

Looking to try Genesys, are any of my pet decks playable?

My main issue with Genesys was always that legit almost every deck I love is unplayable, but maybe there's some weird brew im missing, so before I get into this I guess are any of the following decks playable:

Odd-Eyes
D/D/D
Salamangreat
Supreme King
Rokket
Cyberse/Firewall
@ Ignister
Gouki
Marincess

Done this for other sets so...Making support for IMMORTAL PHOENIX's cover theme to see how close I get to what its gonna actually be! [Art from...well Yugioh! And PrimaAceJohn]

I tend to do this when we can easily guess the next cover theme for a Main Set, though I don't always post em here. I give myself a strict time limit, and come up with 10 (9 in this case) cards as a sort of fun "How would I do the cover theme?" exercise :) PSCT may be very off because I was under a time limit, sorry in advance xP

EDIT: Yes I know Gil has a redundancy, shush xP

Anyone know what the symbol next to the length means? Not the musical note, the crossed out play button?
