any way to fix this that's not buying a whole new audio/speaker cable? ideally wanna get it fixed before this weekend but can't afford buying a new cable/none of them arrive in time 🫶

I need some help with 2 of 2DS XLs. They’re both home brewed, my main 2DS took a fall last year and most of the indicator lights went out. Besides that though they both run and play flawlessly.
Now a few weeks ago I went to play and my charger wasn’t charging my DS anymore. I thought it strange but I also had it for many years, So I went out and bought a new DS charger, worked fine and I got to play for a week or so, I took a week away from playing and now when I try either charger neither are producing any charge I’ve tried different outlets and different consoles.
Trying it on my brothers console(Which has working lights) the charging light did come up but went off shortly after it turned on.
Any help or advice?
TL:DR: Chargers are not charging the devices, different outlets tried, new chargers bought still the issue persists.

The title tells it all. It got chewed up completely. I’m not sure if it can turn on. I’m absolutely terrified it’s gunna explode on me. I can post pictures if the post lets me if needed for the help. He’s been depressed for days. He’s had it since 2014. Its was a regular Blue 3DS XL. I’m planning on buying him a a new one (gunna have to be an LL tho bc XL is too expensive rn) I need help figuring out what I can do for him to recover some of his childhood. The SD card is still in tact and I might have a back up of his DS from when I modded it back in November of 2025. Anything I can transfer over? If I can turn the old DS on (I can’t function the screen it’s gone) can I do like a transfer like that? Is there anyone that can swap mother boards or something TT-TT Just throwing random suggestions here just to try to get my point across. If I can’t do anything then I’m just gunna have to buy and re-mod a new one. I’m just sad all his save data is gone. If I mention that I backed up a lot of his games on check point would that help bringing some save data over? The last back up I did I think was in January. It was if every game I could back up.
My 3ds just fell and now the L button is stuck it doesn't press down and it is working in games without me pressing it. What do I need to do please help. Second photo is the L button
I want to replace my new 2ds xl battery as it has noticeably declining capacity is there anywhere anyone recommends I get a new battery from
I tried to close it and that corner just fell apart, I've got all the pieces and they can still fit together but I don't know what to do.
I went to a repair shop and got it back like this, with the front corner chipped off and the button broken off, does anyone know enough about the pcb to tell me if i can carefully solder the left, right, and the 3 pads on the back of the button back on to the pcb or will it mess anything up? are the 4 gold squares something to be concerned about? Also the device still turns on but obviously i just can’t use the right trigger so i guess there is no short circuit.
So I was trying to fix my left shoulder button which was stuck but I tried putting the spring a lot of times but it isn't quite right and I don't know what to do anymore
it pushes in with no problems when i have it at this angle but once i try to fold it, it slides right back out
Purchased a New 3ds LL on EBay. Got it hacked just fine, but the top screen was behaving weirdly, giving vertical lines that would glide across the screen. People said the screen cables were probably loose and to go in and reconnect them. I’ve opened it up and now I see that one of my ribbon cables is connected to another ribbon cable, something I’ve not seen in the tutorials I’ve been following. Any ideas what this is, and if this might be causing my problem?
So i got the old one off and put the new glasss on on and the sides are raised on it is this normal? It sits in flat and all the sides are just evenly up.
2DS XL Motherboard. Something went wrong during repairs and this snatched off. I found a video on how to put it back again, claims its easy but I cannot put it on for the life of me.
Asking here if there's any tips or I'm simply missing something? Thanks in advance
Is my charging port cooked? My 3ds doesnt charge. I replaced the battery thinking it was the problem. It still turns on but it just doesnt charge.
I recently replaced the speaker flex cable and 3D slider on my 3DS XL because it was turning off with a pop. When I reassembled and turned it on, the audio and system worked, but the screens are black. Does anyone know what the problem could be, or if I reconnected a flex cable incorrectly?
Hey everyone, I have a 3DS XL that’s giving me serious problems and I don’t know what to do anymore.
When I turn on it, I only see the backlight on both screens
No image, no logo, nothing
No audio even with volume at maximum
The device turns on (the LED light works), but the screen stays black
I**’ve Already Tried:**
Disconnected the IR module
Removed the WiFi antenna
Disconnected and reconnected the two ribbons at the top right of the motherboard (the upper screen ones)
Disconnected and reconnected the lower screen ribbons
None of this has fixed the problem
I’m:
Trying turning it on in Safe Mode, but it won’t start
I’m letting the battery drain completely to try again from scratch
Does anyone have suggestions? Could it be a problem with the ribbon on the back of the motherboard? Should I try anything else before giving up?

Made this so that people can have a reference of what each connector does. I believe only the ones that are white on this, and the bottom screen backlight, are all that need to be connected for the 3DS to turn on.
It was likely folded up all weird and the pressure broke it. When I try to access the camera app to view my screenshots, the whole system freezes, it throws an error at me (I have it hacked) and goes black. I am having this issue where It’s giving me this message on on my very old New 3ds xl. I’ve tried safe mode L + R + A D-Pad Up. It gives me a black screen and blue light.
