Not sure if this is allowed, but I’m looking for friends who like Waterparks. Everyone I know f**king hates them for the most part. I’m 23 and from eastern Massachusetts and looking for friends 20+ who enjoy listening to their music. Are there any fan clubs or anything like that? I really enjoy talking about the music I like and have no one to do that with. Also, what other bands do yall like? I’ll go first: my favorites right now (other than Waterparks) are Bring Me The Horizon, Motionless in White, Ashnikko, Destroy Boys, and Dying Wish

Hey yall! I’m going to the 3 Asbury shows and my goal by then is to learn all the lyrics to all the songs. I’ve known this band for years so I have a big majority of their songs already memorized but since this tour is not gonna have a strict setlist per say I expect them to play some deep cuts, older music, demos, etc. is there any Parx songs that aren’t on Spotify?

I know about the home demos collection, why can’t I (ik that’s a cover but it was still released on the target version of CD), the 2 songs on Double Dare that were Japan exclusive (candy + wwdff), I own awstens video game album, and I have the Apple Music exclusive Jinx tracks. Are there more demos or exclusive songs released anywhere?

I’m also aware of his side (?) projects like felony Steve & lil kidz bob but I rlly don’t think he’d be playing songs from either😭

So I got the wrong cassette I ordered the diamond one and got the glitter instead. So I emailed coustemer service and they said they cant send a replacement because they don't have any more of the diamond. So I could keep it or return it. Well turns out the diamond is in stock on the website again. Why are they saying they cant send me a replacement once I send the wrong one back? They clearly have some if I can buy it right now. I literally have all variants of Jinx besides the diamond cassette. I just want to know if anyone else had this issue/im just venting. (Sorry for any typos its like 1 am)

Long story short I was in the mental hospital when tickets and VIP went on sale for the no barricade tour and I didn’t have access to my phone or the outside world at all for that matter. I was able to get GA tickets to Houston night 2 but would anyone happen to know if there’s still a way for me to get VIP? I can’t seem to figure out if it’s still available anywhere

so i panicked and bought a vip upgrade for asbury park n1 because i was afraid they’d sell out before i could considering how new haven sold out during presale and that’s the show i was initially planning on attending. however, the ga tickets for jersey n1 are now sold out :( what do you guys think is the likelihood of me being able to find a ga ticket for resale? or am i kinda just outta almost 200 bucks? 💔

Just bought VIP for one of the Atlanta shows and I’m so excited and so nervous. I’ve been to a few Waterparks concerts before but I’ve never had VIP before. I bought LOVE tickets which includes a photo with the band and I can’t wait. Anyone who has had VIP before can you give me a little run down of how it goes? Is it a separate line outside the venue and typically what time do they go into the venue? I have to travel quite far (Over 8 hours) so I wanna sort of get a general idea. Also what the hell do I even say to the band when I get up to them??? I’m a very shy and nervous person and I absolutely adore them so I’m sure that’ll just make my nerves worse. Also any pose ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Hello all! My name is Sal and I’m looking for the yellow tour exclusive IP vinyl. I know it’s gonna be hard to come by but my girlfriend and I are celebrating our 4th anniversary in November and I want to try my best to try and get it for her. We first got together around the time IP was coming out and I got her every variant of the vinyl cassette and CD’s(besides black vinyl still gotta get that) but we just recently found out abt the yellow variant I know it’s a tour exclusive so I’m willing to pay a higher price for it depending obviously. My girlfriend really deserves this she loves this band and has gotten me to love this band even though I thought I never would. I appreciate any help anyone is able to provide in helping me find this vinyl for sale. Thank you so much!!

all my favorite artists are releasing music all at once so i’m just now getting around to waterparks lol. i think it’s one of their best albums. and the discourse ive read here i actually found quite surprising.
i think this album was not what a lot of fans were hoping for, but im wondering if the reason of that is actually of the quality of it, or if maybe it’s just not the style the double dare fans wanted. on the other hand, the fans who are defending the album say that waterparks are leaning into their weirder style that they’ve been doing since greatest hits, but i don’t think it’s really that either. this album definitely feels more tame to me than those last two. another noticeable thing about it is its cohesiveness. i think it has a distinct atmosphere and pattern of creative choices throughout it that they did really well. waterparks are known for making pop punk music and hyperpop music, but i don’t believe this album gives the vibe of either. like it’s definitely rock, but it’s not all just power chords, it has these more intricate, like alternative-rock-sounding riffs. sure its guitar-based, but it’s not in the same way as their og stuff at all. and as for electronic/hyperpop/hip hop elements, they’re definitely there, but the way they interact with the rock elements is different from how they did it in the past two albums. (side note: to me, greatest hits kind of thrives off of the chaos of jumping between so many different vibes, so it’s like an organized chaos. personally i feel like intellectual property had some consistency issues, probably from them making clearly radio-intended pop punk songs and sprinkling them into the album alongside stuff that sounds like a recapturing of greatest hits’ sounds, that one always felt kinda incomplete to me) in this case, everything kind of blends together with more subtlety. as for the crediting not going to the other two band members, i think that’s just a natural progression of awsten knights art. he’s always been the creative direction of the band, and musicians recording stuff entirely themselves or collaborating with people outside the band, or changing the way the process works, is nothing new to rock music.
but anyway, why i love this album is because i think it has a lot of substance to it and there are quite a few risky moves they made that i believe paid off well.
- the metal-inspired guitar chugging in better than therapy
- the conversations within the lyrics and self-as-character stuff in tracks 1-3 remind me of show tunes and manage to fit some comedy into it without taking away from the song, especially tell me why was interesting and i think it’s really cool to hear how waterparks adapts itself to that. really never heard anything quite like it.
- nobody but you sounded like rnb and stood out on the album without it feeling overstated or trying too hard.
- girls need guns having a serious and real call to action and featuring a speech from none other than awsten knight’s mom talking about women’s rights, and still fits into the album really well as a closer.
the album also seems kind of be a concept album, i heard some one describe it this way: the narrator has a near-death experience, goes to the pearly gates and asks them why people have to suffer and why we all exist, and doesn’t get an answer, suffers through an existential crisis, temporarily finds solace with a romantic partner, but becomes emotionally dependent on them before they leave, leaving the narrator even worse off, then any minute now concludes the story arc with the protagonist acknowledging the answers simply aren’t within reach, and the frustration that comes with it and hoping one day they will show themselves. overall just feels like a sincere project with a lot of passion in it.
anyway, what are y’all’s thoughts on the album now that it’s been out for a little bit, what did you like/not like about it?

Hi all! I don’t really listen to waterparks but my boyfriend whos a huge fan got us both tickets for one of the Milwaukee shows! I decided I wanted to make some bracelets to hand out because its always seemed like a fun idea to me and I have some ideas already but given my limited knowledge on the band I’d like to know if any of you guys have ideas :D

I’d also like to know how many I should probably make, I’ve never done this before and this is probably gonna be the biggest show I’ve ever been to as I’m more used to lesser known/local band shows…

I may be the minority here, but I don’t really understand why everyone is so upset about the prices of the vip packages. I’d appreciate if someone could shed some light on it. I get that it may be expensive to some people, but aren’t you literally meeting the band and getting exclusive merch? To my knowledge, you can’t always “meet and greet” with the artist even when you get the VIP package. Closest you get will be a Q&A. So, I don’t really understand what the big deal is 🤷🏼‍♀️ they don’t have to do meet and greets at all.
