How to Meet an Orthodox Partner?
Hi,
How does meeting an Orthodox partner usually happen?
When you first met your partner, did you already have the intention of “pursuing” a romantic relationship?
I’m part of an Orthodox congregation.
I’m absolutely not “looking” for a partner.
But I’m open to whatever God has in store.
Now there’s someone who’s nice to me, haha—really nice, actually.
I’m not sure how to handle this.
Actually, I’m very cautious, reserved—I tend to observe and am hard to approach, I’d say.
For example, I never really stay around after the Liturgy because it’s too much for me. But now I’m wondering if I should maybe do that sometimes, so as not to shut the door on a possible “opportunity.”
On the other hand, I tell myself that if it’s God’s will, it’ll happen no matter what I do, right?
So I’m torn between:
Maybe I should take a chance and “come out of my shell”
&
the constant worry that I’m now going out of my way to act differently because of something I see—which might just be my own interpretation…
I’m confused, haha. Maybe someone understands this and can relate to what I mean.
