2 jobs, morning and night shift, can I pull this off?

Hi I'm a 23 yo software engineer, I got 2 JO's

- US time/client , 10pm-5/6am (remote)

- AU time/client , 6am-3pm ( onsite about 10km from home ) transportation: personal motorcycle

Both have the same salary rate..and I would typically work 17-18 hours a week that leaves me 5-6 hours of sleep

I wanted to try the setup and see for myself but am here to ask if it's even wise to continue ?

The question is, can I pull this off? Need real advices

On salary loan (sss or pagibig)

Meron akong tatlong employer.

how do you get a part-time job as a student in the ph?

i am currently a second year student in the ph looking for a part-time job for the experience and money too since i’m tight on my budget.

most job opportunities i see are just full time that can’t fit my schedule and the VAs are full night shift and i already got a doctors notice that i can’t do night shift for my health.

How feasible is my current situation rn

I have 2 remote jobs and I recently got hired as an HR Assistant onsite.

J1 - very flexible. im a va for a job application assistance, i just source job opportunities and apply to the roles that is match for my client. This one is a flexible role where I am getting paid full time as long as I apply a number of applications.

J2 - a VA for a business owner, part time role 10pm to 6am (MWF) very easy palang naman yung task na binibigay

J3 - an HR Assistant role, full time 8-5pm sya. For context I wanted to explore opportunities that is an onsite role because sometimes I really get lonely working from home. Additionally, may mga govt mandated benefits itong onsite role ko which is what I lack on my remote jobs

I also consider myself as a very sociable person kaya I also wanna try working onsite. Im a freshgrad and very masipag naman na tao. But I want your thoughts regarding this po. Hindi ko kaya ma-meet agad si Lord?

Its been 3 days since i started my OE

Its been 3 days since i started my OE and its a fucking roller coaster parang nabuburn out ako and at the same time naeexcite to give you context here it is. im 29 yrs old and ive been a cloud engineer for only 2years pa lang.

Im a Cloud Enginer.

J1 - 6am-2pm Fulltime 130k per month flexible and yeah natatapos naman lahat ng ticket and mabait lahat ng co-workers ko mix ng pinoy and aus. i really love this one.

Yun lang just sharing guys thanks

Learned about this and I thought It can benefit the community so I'm sharing this on behalf of the "researcher". P500 to ten randomly selected participants.

Here is the original post from the researcher:

Raffle alert!🚨Calling all Filipino remote digital workers! 💻Answer my 5-minute research survey and be one of the 10 lucky participants to win P500 via GCash! 💸✨ Read more 👇:

Did you know? There were already about 1.5 to 2 million Filipino remote digital workers in 2018! 📈However, I believe that a continuously growing industry must not mean your health suffers along with it.

I am a 3rd-year college student and research intern at Solidarity Center Philippines, an allied organization to the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), the largest federation of labor unions in the United States. 🌎

Like you, I’ve been doing remote work for about 3 years to help support my studies. 👩‍💻As a fellow Filipino worker, I know how important health is for us, yet sometimes client needs often overshadow our needs. 😷🏥

Your voice and your health matter. My research focuses on understanding the health-related concerns of remote digital workers. By answering this survey, you can help me get a better grasp of the health care needs of our kapwa remote digital workers. Hopefully, my research can also help amplify the health issues and needs of remote digital workers. 💻✨

As a small token of my appreciation, 10 survey participants will receive P500 via GCash, chosen at random. This raffle will end on the 31st of July 2026, while the survey remains open until the 15th of August 2026.💸It only takes ~5 minutes! Your responses will remain anonymous. The selected participants who win the raffle will be notified by email.

J1 night J2 daytime, tama ba desisyon ko?

Hello, sa mga merong night shift and day shift pwede po makahingi ng tips?

J1 - 11pm to 8am (3 days RTO) 15mins away sa condo

J2 - 9am to 6pm (Full remote)

Both paying 6digits. Naisip ko kasi okay lang para walang tamaan na meetings na pwedeng same time maschedule.

Plan ko is tapusin mga task ng maaga and magsleep. Just checking if tama desisyon ko. Thank you

6 months Grind as Virtual Bookkeeper.

Last year was a Rock Bottom. Akala ko maghihirap na talaga ako. Pero in the back of my head ayokong mag stay sa ganitong situation. Kaya nag aral ako ng skills until I learned how to Become a Bookkeeper. Life changing talaga yung nangyari, nakakuha ako ng $8/hr Fulltime Client + Flexible yung oras and some part time Client na fix yung sahod. Medjo tumaas din yung needs and Quality of life (Lifestyle Inflation siguro) but somehow nakakapagsave parin.

Right now nagtuturo na din ako sa mga Kapatid ko na gustong mag VA din. Super happy and Grateful!

Kaya kayo wag kang panghinaan ng Loob. Mag aral kayo ng high income skills ☺️

Working on 4 Jobs

I started with 2Js but then, I decided to drop J2 kasi more onsite at nahihirapan ako sa byahe.

After few days na I hand out my resignation sa J2, sakto naman tinawagan ako ng 2 FTs na inaapplyan ko a month ago, and fortunately I was hired sa dalawa.

Walang akong magawa sa timing ng oras kasi I need to be trained and of course hawak nila oras ko. There was even one time na nagdahilan ako nag power outage just to have a valid reason.

Ang overlap is 7 hours. So kapag nag meet during the start of the day may time na lumalagpas!

J1 - 150K

J2 - 120K

J3 - 100K

J4 - 100K

Bait-and-switch remote job offer: Discussed ₱115k, but official offer is ₱80k for 8 hours (₱115k requires 12 hours)

Just got a remote job offer, but I’m having serious second thoughts.

During the interview, the rate discussed was ₱115,000 (it was also advertised as such on Linkedin). However, when the official offer came through, they explained that ₱80,000 is for an 8-hour shift, and the ₱115,000 is only if I work 12 hours a day. Essentially, they are pushing a 12-hour workday to hit the rate we talked about, which completely threw me off.

What is your opinion on this? Would you walk away from it, or try to negotiate?

Fresh Grad Job Offer (25k Gross) in Ortigas vs Daily Commute from Cavite, Is it worth taking?

Hi everyone,

I’m a fresh graduate who recently received a job offer for an entry-level tech/consulting role at a software company located in Ortigas Center (Pasig).

I’m trying to weigh if the offer is fair and physically sustainable given my location, and I’d appreciate some perspective from those commuting from Cavite or working in Ortigas.

Offer & Work Details:

* Base Pay: ₱25,000 Gross / month

* Contract Term: 36 months (3-year fixed contract)

* Work Setup: 5 days/week Onsite in Ortigas (Work From Office)

* Schedule: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Mon–Fri

* Overtime Clause: Standard office hours, with a clause stating overtime is not compensated in cash (time-off in lieu at management's discretion)

* Benefits: 13th-month pay, standard leaves (5 VL / 12 SL), performance bonus, laptop provision, standard government benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).

Logistics & Financial Breakdown:

I live in Central Cavite. If I choose to commute daily:

* Est. Fare: ~₱300 – ₱350 daily roundtrip (Bus/UV + MRT/Carousel) = ₱6,500 – ₱8,000 / month

* Est. Food: ~₱200/day for meals/coffee = ₱4,400 / month

* Est. Travel Time: ~2.5 to 3.5 hours each way (5 to 7 hours of daily travel)

* Net Take-Home: Around ₱22,500 after deductions. After transport + daily office meals, I’m left with roughly ₱10,000 – ₱11,000 for savings or personal expenses.

My Questions:

* Is ₱25k gross fair for an entry-level tech/consulting role?

* Is a 3-year contract common for entry-level tech roles in the PH? What red flags or clauses should I watch out for in long-term employment contracts?

* Is daily commuting from Cavite to Ortigas doable long-term, or am I setting myself up for quick burnout?

* Would renting a shared bedspace near Ortigas (~₱4k–₱5k) make more financial and practical sense than commuting daily?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can share their experiences or advice!

First time having a J2, worried

I currently have a regular wfh job (6 pm - 3 am) in which I have lots of free time, I can finish the tasks within 3 - 4 hrs and then monitoring na lang for emails.

Then I got an offer from an international client as an IC (8 pm - 4 am), they said to start na sa xx and asked if tapos na ba ako mag-render sa current company ko, they are expecting pala na mag-rresign ako so I lied ( I really need this job) that I still need to render and so they adjusted it sa estimated date kung kailan ko matatapos yung rendering period ko.

Akala ko okay lang sa kanila na mag double job ako since I will be an IC, should’ve discovered this sub before para sana nakakuha ako ng tips and hindi kabado malala.

Now, I am worried if they’ll do a BC or anything and wala rin contract pero legit naman siya since I was referred by a friend. So far wala pa naman silang hinihingi. I’m just worried that what if they ask for any proof that I resigned or any acknowledgment by my company.

Anyone na nagkaroon na ng situation like me? Huhu I am overthinking this asf. Thanks in advance!

Tech Job Market Crash AI

I have been hearing news that the job market for the tech industry has been going down and that it is now harder to land a job because of AI.

I'm wondering if it is actually happening in the Philippines as well or only first world countries who now outsource their workers to third world countries.

I'm also wondering if this is only true for full time employment or even freelancing is affected

J2 is asking about SSS loan, I've filed and approved with J1

J1 and J2 are both local employers and meron ako deductions with them both for government mandated contributions.
Nagfile ako recently for SSS salary loan, and pina-approve ko kay J1, since nagagawa ko naman ito dati.
Problem is nag email si payroll ng J2, saying na meron daw silang narecieve na monthly due sa billing nila with SSS and is now asking for details.
Ano kaya pwede gawin or sabihin since both employers ay wala alam sa isat isa.
