My OE Setup
As someone asked me here what my setup looks like, the cat just caught the mouse. Currently working for 3 remote roles as Tech Consultant. I fell inlove with white / gray theme.

Hello, i want to know yung mga OE dito na may onsite at may wfh work. Paano niyo mina-manage ang tulog? My shift is 11AM to 8PM.
For context, gusto ko subukan humanap ng 2nd job. VA mostly nahahanap ko kasi i work sa isang kilalang BPO company as a Spanish CSR. Syempre, di ko ipapaalam sa kanila. For addtl context, trip ko lang maghanap to see where it will go. I am earning well. Ilang guhit na lang at 6-digs na. March pa ako may mga nahanap na leads kung saan mag aapply pero di ko ginagawa kasi iniisip ko paano ko imamanage ang time ko dahil onsite si J1.
How do you do it?
Long post ahead 🤭
Hello guys. I just want to ask those who have 2 jobs what are your thoughts about this, kasi i’m planning to take the offer of the 2nd job.
My J1 is under VA agency, and as per contract we can take other jobs just make sure di maapektuhan jobs namin sakanila. My work is mid from 5pm-2am. I only do email org, tracking customer journey updating tracker. Around 5hrs tpos ko na tasks ko and madami pakong freetime.
Based on the experience of those who have been VAs under Agencies, is there a stability in agency? Or minsan months pa lang bigla ka nalang din mawawalan ng client? As someone that has own family need ko talaga ng stable na work
Which is why i’m planning to take the 2nd job. Actually mas una kong inapplyan to kesa sa VA, mas late lng nag progress late na din kasi ako nag reach out ako sa dati kong manager pra magpatulong, for rehire kasi ako dto.
Corpo job, wfh, morning shift but i will take calls. 😭 Stable, may govt benefits and hmo.
May biggest problem is kung kaya ko ba sya in the long run since 2 full time. And iniisip ko kasi if diko kukunin yung 2nd job, baka bigla ako mawalan ng client sa VA and by that time baka hindi na rin ako matanggap dto sa wfh na corpo job since nilakad na sya ng dati kong manager tpos di ako nag proceed.
Appreciate those who will give advice! Thank youuu 🙏
any OE peeps that uses more than 5 monitors or has 3 clients, help a fellow money goblin 🤣 patingin naman ng battle stations niyo? kuha lang ako ng idea for optimizing my station. Thank you!
Need lang sana ng advice from people na naka-experience na nito or may kakilala na nasa similar situation.
A while ago, may regular full-time job na ako. Eventually, nakahanap din ako ng second remote job as an independent contractor para lang madagdagan yung income. Since contractor siya noon, wala namang government benefits and okay naman yung arrangement.
Recently, nagbago yung setup. Yung second job became a regular full-time employment na rin, so ngayon parehong full-time yung trabaho ko. Both employers now process payroll, deduct taxes, and remit government contributions.
As of now, neither employer knows about the other.
Sa work mismo, wala naman akong issue. Hindi nag-o-overlap yung schedules ko in a way na naaapektuhan yung performance. Nakaka-attend ako ng meetings, natatapos ko yung deliverables on time, and so far okay naman feedback sa akin from both sides.
Ang concern ko talaga is hindi yung workload, kundi yung possible implications nito in the long run.
Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated.
meron pa bang nag hihire sa 40+ year old na part time? software/database engineering ang current work ko.. looking for a software engineering side job for extra income, saan ba pwede mag apply?
Currently nagwwork ako as a software engineer full-time regular sa isang outsourcing company; currently may project kami, but not required to do onsite and not taxing yung task.
Then I have an incoming job which is hybrid, not sure pa sa task, no benefits, tax sss pagibig or whatever; full ko makukuha yung salary ko. Di pa ako nakakapirma ng contract.
Maluwag yung sa current job ko, I can finish my task easily and pass it anytime as long as it is within the due date.
Currently, I am having doubts:
baka pagnalaman, both company is mawala sakin, and worst, baka may legal things pa,
And my other thought is I need extra money to lift my financial situation.
Give me some tips or opinions. Bad or good, I'll accept it.
Hello! I'm reading posts here and I was wondering bakit ang palaging advise when doing OE is hindi dapat nasa same industry yung dalawang company/jobs? Thank you po sa input niyong lahat! 🙂
Hello! And sorry medyo mahaba! And thank you in advance sa mga magrerespond! 🙏
Tldr; I accepted J2 and I'm just finding out now na it may have breach my contract w/ J1 re non-compete clause
Just this January, I accepted/started J2 as a Casual/Seasonal Part Time employee while being a Full Time employee sa J1. Both J1 and J2 pay taxes and government mandatories on my behalf na kinakaltas sa sahod ko and generally they are in different industries, but yung role ko on both jobs, although magkaiba ng ginagawa/tasks, eh medyo similar in nature. I'm reading now na medyo risky pala yung ganito and I know dapat nagbasa ako ng contracts before signing anything before employment kay J2, nauna kasi yung kagustuhan kong magkapera kaysa magbasa ng contracts. Medyo paranoid ako na makita ni J1 na employed ako kay J2 and all the non-compete clause yada yada that it entails. J2 pays more than my J1 but I'd rather keep J1 kasi it's a permanent employment whereas J2 is just seasonal (i.e. kapag may workload lang). J2 is aware na may fulltime job ako while J1 does not (if this helps).
Should I resign J2 now (until December pa yung contract ko)? Will that help my case?
Or if itutuloy ko na itago kay J1 na may J2 ako, paano ko sasabihin kay J1 na ako na lang magfa-file ng Annual ITR ko next year without sounding suspicious?
6 months na ako ngayon sa J2 while simultaneously nakakaltasan ng government mandatories both sa J1 and J2; does this mean hindi nakikita ni J1 na may iba pang employer na naghuhulog ng contributions ko? Or does J1 see it and dinededma lang? Or there's no way to know?
hello!
i have really good offers, and need your thoughts
- startup us-based
> 6 digits
> not a year old yet but going well
> housing, food, own office, laundry, etc.
> fast-paced, probably no time for anything
> ill have a senior role
> 3x recommended onsite 2x wfh
> flown to usa frequently
- stable known-company aus-based
> 6 digits
> good company culture
> chill, nice project management, good tech practices
> mon-fri 9am-5pm wfh
my initial plan before this was to accept my role from a bank here in ph, working in the main office, tech stuff, i love the people and culture there as there is life balance but its ph based so ofc.. even 50k is already a lucky offer. now im amazed by all these great offers i have that i think i might have to turn that banking tech role down ;( but i also like it because of the stability
im thinking of balancing both but i think startup is chaotic enough itself. i work in tech btw and fresh grad, have stacked exp thus the good offers.
need your thoughts, your experiences in working in different industries. thank you.
Hi everyone, I need advice from anyone who has experienced moonlighting in the PH. As much as possible, I would prefer not to disclose to either employer that I may be working two full-time jobs.
For context, I’m currently employed in J1, and I recently received an offer for J2. I’m planning to keep both jobs.
J2 gave me pre-employment requirements, and I have a few concerns:
Q1: BIR Form 2316
They are asking for BIR Form 2316. I have my 2025 copy, but for 1/1/2026 to present, I obviously won’t have one yet since I’m still employed with J1 and I’m not resigning. For those who experienced this, what did you submit? Is the latest available 2316 usually enough, or do companies ask for the current-year 2316?
Also, is it acceptable to tell J2 that I won’t be able to provide a current-year 2316 and that I will instead handle/file my own 2026 annual income tax return since I have another source of income? What do you think, is this a good move?
Q2: RTMRLD / Loan Details
They are asking for Request for Transfer of Member’s Records and Loan Details (RTMRLD), which I believe is for Pag-IBIG. I currently have an SSS Salary Loan and Pag-IBIG MPL being deducted by J1 from my salary. My plan is to fully pay both loans once I receive my first salary cutoff from J2 to avoid further complications.
For the RTMRLD, should I still disclose/check the Short Term Loan portion if the loan is still outstanding during onboarding?
Q3: COE / Clearance
They are asking for COE / Clearance. Since I’m still employed in J1, I obviously won’t be able to provide a clearance. For those who moonlighted or started another job while still employed, what did you submit instead? Would an older COE from a previous employer work, or did you just explain that you’re still employed?
Q4: Veremark Background Check
I will also be subjected to a background check through Veremark. Anyone here who experienced Veremark in the PH? Do they contact the current employer by default? Can you request them not to contact your current employer? What exactly do they usually verify?
Would really appreciate tips from anyone who has gone through this while having another active employment.
Thank you!
ni minsan ba, nahuli kayo? how do you cover it up, or is it (the second job) by any chance a part-time kaya technically allowed?
planning to be overemployed as well yet these are my main concerns haha. how do you answer in interviews, handle being caught in background checks, etc.
To those in the bpo industry may I know what is your second job? Paano niyo po na negotiate na kayo na mag handle Nang government tax and contributions? Papayag Kaya sila pag gnun?
I got laid off at the end of May 2026 as a Bookkeeper/Accountant in a Pharmaceutical Company (US Client). I've been working with him for almost 5 months, paying me $2400/month without a time tracker, but I have to be available for 8 straight hours PST.
Aside from bookkeeping, I also do manual invoicing since the company doesn't have a POS; the owner really wants me to invoice only in QBO. But before I cleaned up his QBO, we planned to use Zapier, but in May 2026 he wanted to use the system of a big-time customer he was introduced to. In the last week of May, I started invoicing, but there was no onboarding or training on how to use it yet. It was really trial and error for me, goodness... Then on the 4th day, his customer had a dropship, but the invoice reflected the name of his client as the ship-to address instead of just the receiver's name. I said that's what the IT guy taught with the system, but all the details of the sender and recipient got erased. The guy got annoyed and said it was going to be my last day... I tried to apologize, saying there hadn't been proper training on the system, so I couldn't do what he wanted; he said it was easy to navigate because he learned it in just 2 hours. NO, the system wasn't even set up for manufacturing yet, and he wanted everything functioning already just days in.
So there, I was let go from a premium client, but it felt like a weight was lifted from my chest... My anxiety disappeared every shift... Life got easier... Then I sent out applications on OLJ and via email...
Sorry to the HR recruiters here, I missed a lot of interview invites, like when I found out it was an agency or not direct to the client... Then yesterday, I had the drive to attend the initial interview at 9 PM EST, and boom, it's a direct client in the healthcare business. Even though the salary is $1k per month with no tracker, it really fits my work experience. They said there would be a salary increase. 🙏😅😍 Work schedule is from 8AM to 1PM EST then 3 hrs dayshift Manila time.
I've been applying for almost 3 weeks. I'm not rushing to get hired because I have 1 full-time client and onsite work at a government agency... But when the Lord decides, there's nothing you can do; it's really meant for you. ❤️❤️❤️
Nothing serious. Nakakatawa lang nung narealize kong naka-ibang company shirt pala ako. Laundry day kasi so kung ano nalang pwedeng masuot yun sinuot ko pagkagising. Tapos biglang may meeting agad na naka-on camera.
Ano mga nakakatawang OE moments n'yo?
