New work, goodbye OE!

Hello! So for context, I am working 2 full time jobs now and both are paying govt contributions.

Ngayon, I accepted an offer that would me me let go of the 2 Full Time jobs na as I am now choosing peace and my health 🥹

My worry is, isa lang yung dineclare ko na previous employment kasi 6 years ako dun while yung isang FT job is 6 months lang.

Do you think this new company would have any issue or would they see sa background check na 2 company yung naghuhulog ng benefits ko before?

🥺🥺🥺

J1 and J2 Dilemma

I’m currently facing a difficult decision and would really appreciate some guidance.

I am still employed in my current job (J1), but I’ve recently been hired by another company (J2) and will be starting there around mid-June.

Here’s my situation:

Job 1 (Current)

  • Work setup: Onsite, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (with flexible time)
  • Commute: About 10 km from home (around 30 minutes drive)
  • Benefits: Complete government benefits, free coffee and meals in the office, HMO provided for me, with the option to enroll dependents (employee pays for dependents)
  • Work environment: Very relaxed, non-toxic, and ideal for me
  • Flexibility: As long as tasks are completed, I have a lot of freedom
  • Leave: 15 PTOs per year
  • Role: Rank-and-file (currently acting as Team Lead)

Job 2 (New Offer)

  • Work setup: Work-from-home, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
  • Benefits: No benefits included
  • Work environment: Also very relaxed and manageable
  • Leave: 12 PTOs per year
  • Role: Managerial position
  • Compensation: double the salary of Job 1

I am considering taking both jobs simultaneously, but I’m worried about whether my body can handle the schedule long-term.

At the same time, I don’t feel comfortable leaving Job 1 because:

  • The HMO is very important for my family, especially my kids
  • The work environment is stable, stress-free, and something I genuinely value

What's your take on this?

Buti OE ako

Only got 2 Js and for me sapat na para sa sahod and balanse ang workload. Both very flexible and kaya ko gawin work ko for both nang mabilisan.

But despite this, nagchcheck pa din ako sa sites to see offers and whatnot. Baka may magustuhan ako diba? Then I got headhunted and kanina dapat interview , 9PM - 9:30PM.

Lo and behold, no show si ante. Walang respeto sa oras ng aplikante. I sat it down 'til 9:30PM but wala. Naisip ko na lang, buti OE ako. Hirap pag wala ka work tapos ganon gagawin sayo. Sa recruiters dyan, konting respeto sa mga nagaapply. We are living in hard and tumultuous times. Konting empathy and respect goes a long way.

What to do about BG check and COE?

I am currently full time wfh in j1. I applied to this j2 and declared resigned on j1 (it is the only experience I have) so i don't have any other choice to declare for experience. They don't have gov benefits that's why I tried to apply but I'm afraid that they might ask for coe or other related docs. What to do? Any tips po? TIA

Moonlighting tip: one corpo, one ic

Hi. Based on the title, I just got another job which I am an IC, I work from 8-5pm MT.

The problem is, I have a corpo work which is from 6-3pm PHT (2 days RTO) In those days that I am RTO, I have scheduled meetings with the IC job.

I am wondering how can I survive this? Any tips from you guys? The IC company pala gave me a mac mini so that would be another prob kasi I am not sure how can I keep up with the meetings while I am travelling for work din during that time. Anyone experiences this?

May mga need ba akong bilhin? I still wanted to attend to the meetings as these are required weekly. And I can’t lose both jobs as well. Sobrang magkalayo naman sila ng industry so there won’t really be a conflict of interest. However, ayun nga I just have a dilemma when it comes to travelling to work. (1-2hr travel from house to work every RTO)

Thank you guys!

Need to drop J1 before I burn out — what’s the cleanest exit that avoids retention?

I think I finally hit the point where the overlap isn’t sustainable anymore.

Current setup:

  • J1 — around ₱61,600/month, 8 hrs/day, no leave benefits, been here 2 years Starts 8:30 AM

  • J2 — around ₱106,700/month, 8 hrs/day, 18 leave days, been here 1 month Starts 9 AM

  • J3 — around ₱92,400/month, 5 hrs/day, no leave yet, just got it Starts 7 AM

The issue is the timing overlap. J1 and J2 almost fully overlap, and adding J3 means I’m basically stacking all three in the same workday.

Financially and long-term, J1 clearly makes the least sense now:

  • lowest pay
  • no leave
  • longest tenure so expectations are higher
  • hardest to “coast” because they know my normal output level

J2 seems like the stable anchor because of the pay + leave. J3 has the best hours-to-pay ratio and gives me flexibility.

So realistically, J1 has to go.

Problem is: J1 is basically just me and my boss. We’ve worked together for 2 years and I know if I resign casually he’ll try hard to retain me, negotiate hours, increase pay, ask what’s wrong, etc.

I want a reason that:

  • sounds genuine
  • doesn’t invite counteroffers
  • avoids a long emotional conversation
  • lets me leave cleanly without burning the bridge

I don’t want to say “better offer” because he’ll probably try to match it. I also don’t want to invent some dramatic fake story that becomes hard to maintain.

What has worked best for you guys when exiting the lowest-value J without triggering retention mode?

Need Advice: Keep Stable but Toxic Full-Time Job or Risk It for 55k Permanent WFH Opportunity?

Currently juggling 2 jobs right now:

  • Full-time job — 31k salary
  • Contractual job — around 40k monthly

So total take-home is around 71k/month.

The problem is my full-time job has been getting increasingly difficult and stressful while the salary growth is almost nonexistent. Workload keeps increasing but compensation and career progression barely move. Honestly, burnout is starting to kick in.

That’s why I started applying elsewhere.

Recently, I passed the initial interviews with EMAPTA for a permanent WFH role offering 55k/month. Right now, I’m just waiting for the client interview request.

Here’s the complication:

In my resume, I made it appear that I was already unemployed by putting an end date instead of “Present” on my current full-time role. But during the interviews, EMAPTA somehow seems to think I’m still employed instead of unemployed.

Now I’m unsure what the smartest move is.

On one hand:

  • I don’t want to resign from my current full-time job too early because I know outsourced/client-based hiring can be unpredictable.
  • I’ve read stories where client interviews take weeks or even months.
  • Nothing is guaranteed until the final offer is signed.

On the other hand:

  • My current full-time workload is becoming mentally exhausting.
  • The compensation no longer feels proportional to the stress.
  • I mainly stayed because of stability and HMO benefits.

What would you do in my situation?

Some questions I genuinely want insight on:

  • Would you keep the current full-time job until the EMAPTA offer is completely finalized and signed?
  • Is it risky to clarify the employment status issue now, or better to wait unless they directly ask?
  • How strict is EMAPTA with background checks and employment dates?
  • Has anyone here experienced long waiting times for client matching/interviews with EMAPTA?
  • How do you assess job stability for outsourced/client-based companies?
  • Would you prioritize higher pay + permanent WFH over HMO/job security?
  • At what point would you consider it “safe” to resign from a current job?
  • For people doing OE, which is more sustainable long-term:
    • 2 medium-stress jobs
    • or 1 very high-stress full-time + side contract?
  • If ever I keep the contractual role and replace the full-time job with the EMAPTA role, does that sound more sustainable financially and mentally?
  • How do you professionally explain overlapping jobs or employment date discrepancies during background checks?

Would really appreciate advice from people who’ve been through similar setups or outsourced hiring processes. Trying to make the smartest long-term move without making a reckless decision.

I'm building a tool to bypass activity tracker + screenshot and safely go idle

I have experienced time tracker myself, and as a dev, this is very stupid especially if they use the activity rate as basis for your performance. Unang una most of our work (lalo na ngayon with coding agents) involves reading and checking if things are right, this means a huge part of our day involves not moving anything to focus on analysis and reviews. Additionally, this method punishes fast worker. If you can finish a 4 hour work in 1 hour, then you're being punished for the next 3 hours and there's literally zero reason to be fast.

That's why I decided to create this tool.

How it works:

- The tool is a combination of a hardware and a software (to be run on a separate computer)

- This means your work PC will never know something is going on as there's no software running to bypass it, and there's a hardware connected classified as a keyboard

- The software has an algorithm that you can "program" (it's just defining how your work is done), and it picks one of the potential work based on your config's chance. It then triggers the necessary keystrokes para maperform yung task na yun

- The hardware will ingest these instructions then "types" it out like a real keyboard

Other cool features:

- All keypress has random millisecond variation kapag "pinepress" eto, meaning it's never uniform

- Harder key combinations are slower to "type". For example mas madaling i-press ang "tp" kesa sa "cz" dahil sa location neto sa QWERTY keyboard. Same with ALT + F4, or CTRL + SHIFT + ESC

- Random pauses on space and dots. So may chance to "think" on sentence endings, like a human would

- Hourly break-time (configurable) to appear like you're taking a CR break, making a cup of coffee, or stretching. Very human.

- Typo mechanism. Configurable rin ang chance neto, so it once triggered it can do two types of typo: 1. type our the wrong letter, then delete, then retype the correct one 2. or finish the whole word, "realize" it's wrong, deletes until the wrong letter and retype. It also has 50% chance to commit mistake again on the same word, and another 20% chance to commit a 3rd typo. Very human design.

Attached below is a screenshot from a demo hubstaff account. I fixed the breakless work and sustained high focus time using the hourly break-time mechanism. Can't do anything on the predominantly keyboard usage, but on an actual use, I'm sure you'll use mouse to do your real work naman, so that will probably not get triggered.

Things it can do:

- Scroll around a document using up and down arrow key OR page up and page down

- Alt tab between windows

- Open anything using windows key + program name

- "Retype" an entire document (you'll put it in the app's files) and pretend you're doing it from scratch. It can also have multiple files, so once it's done with one, i-dedelete n'ya using CTRL + A + Backspace, then type a new real work document

---

If you're interested in this, PM me, it's not free of course. But I assure you, as an OE too, the ability to get a second job will far surpass the value.

automated loop for hubstaff to never go idle

hi guys. created a script to never go idle on hubstaff( or any time tracker app ) undetectable, and fully mimicking a human natural behavior.

asking if u guys have created something similar?

also hays katamad ung ganto, pano ba maghanap ng mga output based clients, at saan yang mga yan? pag US, usually may tracker talaga.

anyway, i can publish this script for public use if there’s a majority that may need it.

I had to make this kasi aaminin ko, i need power naps kahit night shift, naantok talaga ako. hahaha

thanks, and goodluck to us all. nababaliw n q kaka balanse ng 3 wfh jobs

Advice if okay lang kayang tanggapin ko yung J2

I'm thinking if tatanggapin ko ba yung offer na J2 sa akin. So meron akong J1 na PH based and 4 years na ako don and yung offer na J2 ay PH based rin. J1 ay from 9am to 6pm (hybrid setup) then yung J2 ay flexi time.

Natatakot lang ako na baka in time, masilip naman yung mga govt contributions ko (dapat may option to na wag nalang kasi ninanakaw lang naman HAHAH).

Advice pooo sa mga OE na may employers na naka based sa PH pls.
