It’s been about 5 years but I decided to get back on the bike.
Anyone have a recommended shop in the area? It’s a naked so I can likely do all my own maintenance but a place that can flash my ecu once I throw some pipes on or help with suspension setup.
I ride an mt09.
I used to ride sport bikes for 22 years and this is my first time on a standard / naked. Just getting my sea legs back after some miles 💪🏾
I also know literally one person on two wheels, so I’d love to learn of any meets in the area or smaller group rides.
Ride safe everyone!

Does anyone know of any mobile motorcycle mechanics? If not, do you know any in SE PDX? I need help with a Yamaha fz1...
Located in the longview area looking for new adventure friends to explore with. Packtalk is a bonus!
Is there anyone out there who facilitates a gear closet/library for the local community? Or just wants/needs some extra gear? I am moving and I have a few pieces I don't want to keep toting around.
I had planned to take photos and make a post about it, but I know my brain, and I will keep forgetting. Not remotely a complete list, but the two big items are: Revit Sand 3 two-piece suit (top and bottom) bought new in 2017, so it's got some miles and years on it, but is complete and still very much serviceable (size Large both pieces) and an Icon Jacket... I can't remember what it is called, but it is a medium-light weight black textile piece (of their current gear it is most like the Midhawk - but I know that's not it, cause it's an older style).
DM me if you are interested in taking something. I will give away things first come first served, and I have some leads on closets/libraries for anything leftover after the weekend.
Edit: Here are the photos - see comment for what is still available and what has been "claimed"

Hi this is my first season riding I have a ninja 400.
Currently I only really ride to work and back but I would like to try and make some friends to chat with and maybe eventually ride with in the Portland area.
I don’t think I have the skill yet for a big group ride I think I would be a liability
I currently have no real friends with any interest in motorcycles so I feel bad speaking to the ones that I do have when they don’t care.
Good news: Because of all your wonderful suggestions two weeks ago I've had a blast these last few days - Nüburgring, Henry Haag Lake, Larch Mountain, Old Columbia Hwy, Portland and the west side. All new to me and very fun.
Bad news: Today was supposed to be the Fossil run, but given the heat, I decided to stay on the coast and go hiking. Broke my leg.
Rookie mistake. Should have chosen riding, of course
Good news: I rode an hour to the trailhead and had just started the hike when it happened, so, after breaking my leg (fibula, dontchaknow) and hobbling back to the bike, I put on my very stiff motorcycle boots and, because of this, the doc didn't have to re-break my leg to put the temp cast on properly. The moto boot evidently held my foot at just the right angle during the hour ride back to town.
Bad news: It'll be six to eight weeks until I can try one of those group rides
A few of us did a loop through Vernonia and Astoria to Longview. Great ride, great pace all around. Here’s me on my Versys 650 in hot pursuit of a Triumph Street Triple 675 and a Suzuki V-Storm 650.
More of the ride on OR-202, when it got a little spicier after Jewell Meadows. Street Triple 675, V-Strom 660, Versys 660.
My bike was stolen the other week and I was able to track down where it went. Recovered the bike due to vigiliant friends. My buddy went by this weekend and saw two more bikes where we found mine. Didn't get make and model, but if you're looking for yours and there's a match, I'll connect you.
