Hello everyone,

I found a reasonably priced RTX 4080 SUPER 16GB VERTO. However, the seller claims that although the card works when installed in a PCIe x16 slot, it only operates at PCIe x4. He says he purchased it in this condition and has been gaming with it without experiencing any issues. According to him, the performance loss is only around 2–5%.

Is this claim accurate? Could running an RTX 4080 SUPER at PCIe x4 noticeably affect performance, and is there any way to repair or restore it to the proper PCIe x16?

so I thought I would share what I have been working on...
I love how cheap PNY cards are they are basic and ugly IMO and i have an all white build but hated how the card looked and didnt wanna spend +300-500 more for a white card... so I did what any reasonable person would do... I decided to pull out the digital caliper and make my own shroud with the help of ai I have came up with a clean design and implemented LEDS into the shroud

My printer isnt big enugh for a one piece so I have split the shroud into 2 pieces added vents a translucent piece for the LEDS im testing this today after 5 version and fixing if anyone else would be interested in the project files i wouldnt mind sharing :)
