Can't play on jailbroken PS5

Hey guys I am stumped. I used to play on PS4 but recently I have not had the time, today I've tried setting up pxplay on PS5. I've ran all the correct steps to achieve my ps id (took my hex 0x.. digits) and converted to decimal to receive my 19 digit number to add to Pxplay. I receive the error above.

The offline account is activated as it shows so with the unique 0x digits compared to all 0's and I can see options under profile when I boot up the system.

My issue is the above message. It seems I can't connect on my local network like I could with PS4.

I have troubleshooted for the last number of hours I can't figure out my issue.

I must be doing something wrong. I am on the same network as the PS5 and I've put in my PS5 IP address also. The pin code is generated by remote play setting in the PS5, I enter that but the same error appears above.

I would appreciate some help if someone has any tips. Thanks a lot

Install not working - Windows not supported

I'm running a Surface Pro with Windows Home 11 (not in S mode). I can't natively run the PS Remote App so I'm trying to install PXPlay (PSPlay) as a work around for remote play, but it tells me when I try to install that my Windows version is not supported. Anyone know a fix?

Help

I've had a problem from the beginning, it happened on two different PCs. As I play, there comes a point where the vibration of the DualSense controller intensifies to the point that it vibrates too strongly with any action and forces me to restart the stream. I tried some settings but nothing worked. I used two different controllers and two different PCs as well

Need Help to Use PS Remote Play on TV

Hi Guy, I have a 2016 model Sony TV and a PS5. I am looking to install PS Remote Play on my TV. Unfortunately my TV is running on Android 8.0.0 and doesn't have the Remote Play app on the playstore.

I tried downloading the APK file using the Downloader. APK is not getting installed, prolly because of the android version.

Now, if I get an Amazon Firestick, can I install the App on Firestick ? Has anyone tried this and working?

Any input is appreciated.

Turned my r36s into a Ps Portal

So I have this obsession with trying remote play on as many devices as I can, ive found that with using LineageOS you can then use pxplay with some tweaking and a usb OTG to wifi adapter to then make a gameboy style ps portal.

Swapped select for the ps button and combo start and select for touchpad, it works so seamlessly that its comparable to the portal in terms of bitrate and with maybe 1/2ms response time, ive been able to take on elden ring for a joke and beat the first boss, all as though it was a gameboy game.

Ive got it set to 540p and stretched to fill the screen as I didnt like the black bars that show from the standard 16:9 resolution the ps5 normally puts out, 60fps and runs like a dream.

Highly suggest trying it yourself, I had to swap from the wifi adapter to a usb mouse to access the right menus to set up file paths and control mapping but once its arranged, its simply boot the device, load up pxplay and connect.

Im testing now for playtime length, the os has a bug where if your battery is lower than 80 or 90% it wont boot or shuts down so hoping theres a older version/patch that fixes this.

XBXPlay: Huge New Update Available - Modern UI, 1080p HQ, FSR Upscaling & More 🎉

The huge new XBXPlay Android update is finally here 🎉

This one took quite a while to develop and is one of the biggest XBXPlay updates released so far. It follows the big PXPlay update from about a month ago and brings Xbox Remote Play on Android to the next level.

The update includes a completely new modern UI, new video quality options, microphone support, external display improvements, Android widgets, and much more.

Download

Google Play Store

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grill.xbxplay

What's new?

* Brand-new modern UI (for TV and standard version)

* FSR 1.0 Video Upscaling support

* 1080p High Quality resolution support

* Experimental local multiplayer support

* Microphone support

* Optional performance overlay

* External display support

* Android Widget support for Home Screen

* Performance and stability improvements

The new 1080p High Quality mode allows higher bitrates, and the optional FSR 1.0 upscaling can further improve image quality beyond the usual remote play limits.

What's next?

I'm also working on frame generation and an additional Vulkan rendering pipeline for supported devices, which should further improve video quality in the future.

A prototype is already working, but it still needs more testing. I'm currently aiming for sometime around mid or end of summer.

Feedback

If you run into any issues with the new UI, 1080p HQ mode, FSR upscaling, microphone support, external displays, local multiplayer, Android widgets or anything else, please let me know.

Thanks again for all the support, testing and feedback ❤️

Have fun with the new XBXPlay update!

P.S. A standalone APK version without Google dependencies will also be available in a few weeks. It will be downloadable directly from my website, similar to the PXPlay APK release.

Streaming my PS5 from across the state 😄 Love this thing

Been absolutely loving setting this thing up and now using it. PS5 streams 1080p @60fps pretty near flawlessly and looks phenomenal on the AMOLED. Using the Max Version.

Remote (different internet access) doesn’t work while local mode (same WiFi) works perfectly fine

  • Console: PS5
  • Device for Remote Play: iPad iOS 26 (newest iPad so not the issue)
  • Router: FritzBox 7590
  • issue: Remote Play outside home network doesn’t work
  • I already followed the guide to open ports and canyouseeme shows that 9295 is open
  • The error showin while choosing Remote Connect—Manual and inserting my routers public IP is: „Connection failure! A connection to your PS5 could not be established! The reason for the error was couldNotStartStreamConnection.“

I am trying to make this while not connected to my own network. I tried my 5G network and it just doesnt find my PS5.

I am using a Fritzbox 7590 and have configured the ports as shown above in the screenshot.

What else is missing?

SOLUTION:
-Make sure that the Ports are IPV4

-I also included Port 9093 as advised

-Make sure you test from an external network (5G) and not same Wifi. Although I did that from the beginning, some people might forget that

Legion Go 2 image quality

I’ve started using PXPlay on my Legion Go 2 and in general it works extremely well, however I seem to experience the same type of image quality artefacts in all games. For example in Ghost of Yotei, the image quality close to the character is very good, however the objects in the distance look blurry (for example mount Yotei). Also when looking up at the blue sky, it seems to not be a clear blue picture but rather a slightly blurry and artefacty looking blue. Is this expected? Or does anyone know how to fix? In terms of latency it’s performing very well.

Connecting Issue

Everytime I try to play remote with my PS5 Pro it says it cant connect due to both devices being NAT type 2.

This only happens when I choose remote option using 5G etc. If im at my house and choose to use Local play option I can use app without issue.

How do i fix this?? It used to not be an issue until recently.

I just want to actually be able to play remote.

PXPlay vs PS Remote

So I’m having difficulty connecting to my PS 5 Pro at home with PXPlay.
With the PS Remote it connects directly.
Here is the how and the what:
I use my iPhone 17 Pro Max as a hotspot with the ‘Maximise Compatibility’ option turned off (useful for older devices).
On the PXPlay (there is no new update available) I use the Remote Connect option and Automatic setting.
Device is a Legion Go 2.
Error:
“Console not reachable
Your console could not be reached via the internet. It seems that the network you are currently connected with is not allowing a connection to your console. Please connect to a different network.
PlayStation NAT Type 2
Own NAT Type 1”

Also tested it with a iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPad Pro (3rd gen), and no VPN active/installed.

So far my only ‘fix’: moving my smartphone away (no logical distance) and keep trying.

Any tips?

Thx!

Unkown Stream Exception

I'm getting this error and disconnecting every 5 minutes or so. I'm using a Lenovo y700 (Android tablet) that should have no problem running this.

It may be possible that it's a wifi issue? My ps5 is connected via wired Ethernet. WiFi where I'm at is about 360 down, 65 up.

I switched to 30fps and I think it's staying connected longer, but I'm hoping there's a better solution.

Feature Suggestion: Use PXPlay as a Controller While Keeping Audio on Your Device

I had an idea for a feature that could make PXPlay even more useful.

Currently, PXPlay is great for remote play, but what if there was an option to extend the connect as controller feature, to include the option to keeping the audio streamed to the my handheld?

A practical use case:

- I'm playing remotely with headphones connected to my phone/tablet.

-I decide I want to continue playing on the TV instead of the handheld screen.

-Instead of reconnecting headphones to the PS5 or switching audio devices, I simply switch the video back to the TV.

-PXPlay remains connected as a controller and continues streaming only the audio to my headphones.

This would be especially useful because PlayStation doesn't offer a particularly convenient way to use Bluetooth headphones. With this feature, you could move from handheld play to TV play with a single button press, keep using your existing headphones, and never have to get up from the couch.

Not sure how technically feasible this is, but it feels like a natural extension of PXPlay's existing functionality and would create a really seamless experience.

Thanks!
