Onscreen individual face buttons

Maybe I'm not looking in the right place but I can't seem to find the individual face buttons (X, O triangle, square). I see the 4 buttons together, the X & O, and the single O only.

REMOTE_WEB_SOCKET_ERROR "WebSocket on failure" connection failure in PxPlay

I encountered this problem several times on Sunday, but I successfully logged in again after repeatedly trying, so I didn't pay much attention to it at the time. However, on Monday, I found that I couldn't remotely connect to my home PS5. I've summarized a few issues that I hope will help the author resolve.

  1. After encountering the connection problem on Monday, I restarted the router and PS5, reinstalled PXPLAY, and re-verified my account, but none of these worked.

  2. The physical PS5 itself connects, but the remote connection alone fails.

  3. I didn't encounter this problem when using remote connection from an Android device. This problem only occurs on the PC.

PsPlay Takes Too Long to Connect

Hi everyone, I did a search but I don't see anyone creating a post related to the time taken to connect to your PS5.

In my case, when I use Automatic Connection option my app would take around 2 to 5 minute time to connect to my PS5 (if it's successful).

Often time the connection attempt failed and I had to retry.

How about everyone else? How long does it take for you?

By the way, I'm connecting when I'm away from home.

REMOTE_WEB_SOCKET_ERROR "WebSocket on failure" connection failure in PxPlay

https://preview.redd.it/s0muimlb2wjh1.png?width=1257&format=png&auto=webp&s=1ef9efe5824d753e9be8e06e82466951314e2595

Hi,

I am hoping to report/document the error I had recently; this started within the past week of writing this post. For some reason, I am unable to consistently connect with my PS5 despite having been able to connect to it without issue in the last few months on my Windows 11 laptop. I have already confirmed my PS5 is port forwarded as required, to no avail. I have tried the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Unlink and relink PS5
  • Turn off and turn on PS5
  • Uninstall and reinstall PXPlay

Unfortunately, this error message still pops up. For some inexplicable reason, my laptop is able to connect after a string of consistent "WebSocket on failure" messages, usually after I turn ON then OFF my VPN. I am unsure why it seems to work, but even that "fix" is not consistent and tends to fail more than it works.

Utilizing my Samsung S23U enables connection without issue, so I am quite stumped as to the problem. I am hoping someone is able to find a solution; I love the application and it is unfortunate that it is not working at this time for me. Thanks in advance!

Random Stutters while playing on local network: ipadOS

If you observe the beginning of the video and at 1:40 these are kind of stutters I keep facing ocassionally. The game is totally playable apart from these stutters.

My setup:

og ps digital edition

Plugged it directly to my router using lan cable

Already on 5ghz wifi

Running on local network so internet speed shouldn't matter ( it's 300mbps btw)

ipad A16

Client settings:

1080p 60fps

Auto bitrate

Rest are left as is.

So my question is, is it client related or just the problem from ps5.

I've tried asobi but unfortunately it's free version is locked at 30fps so didn't play much on it.

Edit: I also have a GeForce now subscription (performance tier). It has more stability and visual fidelity than this surprisingly. It's so confusing how a Local network gaming can be worse than something from cloud using same wifi.

PS5 stuttering/lagging in some games, would a PS5 Pro actually avoid this?

I've a standard PS5 and in some games, like GTA or Skyrim, I notice stuttering or frame drops when there's a lot going on on screen or a lot of the world is being rendered.

It's not an online lag issue. It happens in single-player/offline gameplay, especially in busier areas or when moving through the map quickly.

I'm wondering if this is just normal performance for the standard PS5 in certain games, or if upgrading to a PS5 Pro would actually make these situations noticeably smoother.

I'm especially thinking ahead to GTA 6. I'd really like to avoid this kind of stuttering when that comes out, so I'm wondering if the Pro is likely to be worth it for that.

Has anyone who upgraded from the standard PS5 to the Pro noticed much of an improvement with this kind of stuttering or frame dropping? I'd rather not spend the money if it's more down to the games themselves than the console.

Note - I have a standard TV and play at 60Hz so if changing that would also help let me know. Thanks everyone.

Mac vs iPad

Hey guys.

Can anyone tell me if there is any difference between the Mac and iPad app?

I currently run everything on a MacBook but looking to upgrade in the near future and at that point I will get a Mac Mini and I think I want a iPad as something more portable and better for entertainment etc.

That way I will have my Mac for work and iPad for entertainment plus some work if needed.

I have been blown away by the Mac app so just want to make sure i'm not downgrading by getting an iPad if that make sense.

Thanks

A dilemma about google services

I purchased PXPlay on the play store a while back and I'm trying to avoid using google services on my new Retroid Pocket Nova due to google's anti-community stance on android. Is I tried packaging my PXPlay install from my phone and moving it to my Nova but it doesn't seem to work that way, is there a way I can get the license from my existing phone to use on my Nova? I'd like to avoid paying twice but I understand if that's the only real choice.

Launcher PS5 para PC

I made a PS5 Launcher for PC to organize the games, apps and social media, you can:

- select your home's wallpaper like in PS5
- add Steam Games
- see news about games
- see what are you listening in the PC in a music widget like in PS5
- search your games
etc...

is a beta right now, you can tell me what do you like to add to the project

Retroid 5 Input Issue

I have a Retroid Pocket 5 and have PXPlay mostly working, but I'm having one strange issue I haven't seen any others have.

I've tried a couple games and noticed that I basically can't hold L2/R2 in combination with other buttons. The new button press seems to cancel the L2/R2 hold. If I aim a bow with L2 then press R2 to shoot, it performs the R2 action as if I wasn't holding L2. While I'm racing and holding R2 to accelerate, if I press X to boost, I need to release and rehold R2 to continue to accelerate.

Anyone know what's going on? I don't see any specific settings to adjust to help with this.

Can't get Home mapping to work on Dual Sense controller

I'm using PXPlay on my Shield Pro with our PS5 and a dual sense controller. When I do get the mapping to register two buttons as the input for mapping the PS/Home button in settings, those two buttons don't actually do anything when pushed together in a game. I'm just stuck in the game and can't return to the home screen.

I've tried clearing out the game pad settings and trying over again, but no luck. I can't find any other info on this issue. I feel like I'm missing something obvious.

Thanks for any help

MSI Claw 8 AI+ crash on startup

The app crashes when clicking on Local connection. It mostly happens right after booting up Windows, usually after a couple of tries it finally connects. Specifically it crashes during the search for the console.

Does the PC version have less feature than mobile?

I just asking this question because I notice that when I use my phone for remote play, I check the setting and saw some feature that isn't exist in the PC version yet.
Such as:
- Decoder performance profile
- Stream performance overlay

Does the missing features will be updated for PC version?

Another question: I'm using steamdeck for remote play, which setting I should turn on / off / set to make sure the good quality and lowest latency? (I'm using linux version to run in steamdeck)

Remote_web_socker_error

The app was working yesterday on the steam deck but today that error shows when trying to start it through steam. It only works if I start it directly, without going through steam, in Destop mode.
