Do you think there will ever be a Ranked Solo FPP??

I've got around 5,500 hours of playtime of which 5,000 is solo. I know its not for everyone but I just enjoy the relaxed nature of solos with a slow beginning and an exciting end game. However, over the past couple years the amount of bots in a solo lobby make that end game much smaller and still exciting, but virtually no fun mid-game.

Rage Hacker in EU FPP Ranked - What is the current state of PUBG's Anti Cheat?

To Mods: This is a genuine discussion on the state of the anti cheat and not usual cheater rage.

This cheater had 17 people watching him by the end of the game assuming most reported him I'm at a loss as to how the anti cheat didn't detect it not just by reports but by the simple fact he's rage hacking. There is another clip where he beamed my teammate out of the zone by well over the fog of war distance this clip just had the most blatant bits.

I haven't seen a cheater this blatant in a very very long time and thought the anti cheat had improved?

While we are at cheating... (no name and shame, everything blurred)

I saw the other guy posted a rage hacker today. So watch this other guy from EU FPP Solo.

Just a normal daily experience actually. Look at how he tracks through walls blatantly. At the very first moment he shot me I knew he was a cheater. Then in the end when I'm lying above waiting for him to move and get a slight chance to kill him he decides to run in front of me to die. Most cheaters do this in Solo. They get some kills and then decide to die so their stats can stay under the radar.

But most of the time those guys have 1.2 KD and 40% headshot ratio but this guy has different stats. I reported him in game, this was 2 days ago, he still plays at this very moment too. He wins 11% of his ranked squad games, 22% of his ranked duo games with 2.5+KD and 27% of his Solo games with 8.7KD... That's PUBG for you. And then you wonder why it's dead outside Asia.

XG27AQNGV Pulsar vs Zowie for PUBG/Apex/Tarkov + why switching from Intel to AMD was actually my biggest upgrade

XG27AQNGV vs Zowie for PUBG/Apex/Tarkov + why switching from Intel to AMD was actually my biggest upgrade

Someone asked me how the XG27AQNGV compares to the XL2568X+ for a BR like PUBG, and whether it would make sense to switch to the G-SYNC Pulsar or even the new XQ2566X.

I had the XL2586X 540Hz before, so I can compare the Zowie experience directly with the XG27AQNGV.

For PUBG specifically, I would still give Zowie a slight advantage, mainly because of the insane amount of color and visibility adjustment you get. You can make green enemies stand out so much that hiding in grass becomes much harder. PUBG is one of those games where, for me, visibility comes first no matter what.

What I really like about the XG27AQNGV, though, is how much more relaxed I can sit while playing. The 27" size and the much better viewing angles make a real difference. With the XL2586X I always felt like I had to get into a very specific position in front of the monitor to play properly. That can help you focus, but whether that is actually enjoyable for long sessions is another question.

For Apex Legends and Tarkov, I personally prefer the XG27AQNGV. Both games look extremely clear on it. The Dark Boost/black equalizer is also useful in Tarkov, although Tarkov night raids aren't nearly as dark anymore as they used to be.

Warzone also looks and feels very good on it.

Another thing I like with my RTX 5070 is that I can use custom resolutions while running 1440p/360Hz. Keep in mind that this is something I couldn't do the same way with the RTX 40-series and older cards at 1440p/360Hz.

If I literally played PUBG and nothing else, I would probably be looking at the new XQ2566X, mainly because 1440p on 24.1" sounds like a really nice combination for that game.

I would probably wait for some more proper reviews first, though. There aren't many reviews yet that really go into its new backlight-strobing implementation. The monitor itself is noticeably thicker because of the new tech, so this looks like a substantially different implementation compared with the older Zowie models.

I'm also very interested in the visibility options it has for things like gas/smoke in BR games. Anything that can make enemies harder to hide in those effects is a pretty big deal in PUBG. If PUBG was my only game, that kind of feature would definitely push me toward the Zowie.

But here's the funny part:

The biggest upgrade I made wasn't actually the monitor. It was switching from Intel to AMD.

My current setup is:

- Ryzen 7 9850X3D

- 32GB DDR5-6000 CL28

- RTX 5070

- ASUS ROG STRIX B850-G GAMING

I specifically like this motherboard because it gives me a non-USB audio solution and Intel LAN, which are both things I wanted for a low-latency gaming build.

And this setup just feels insane. Seriously smooth.

What surprised me most is that it actually feels noticeably smoother to me than my previous system:

- RTX 5090 FE

- GIGABYTE Z790 AORUS TACHYON X

- i9-13900KS

- 32GB DDR5-8000 CL38

On paper the old system obviously looks ridiculous, especially with the 5090, but in terms of how the games actually feel, I prefer the 9850X3D setup by quite a margin.

So if you're still on Intel and are looking for the next thing to upgrade, I would seriously consider the platform before changing monitors. For me, switching to AMD has been the biggest improvement I've made to overall smoothness.

The audio is another part that surprised me, and I wouldn't underestimate it.

I use the optical output on the ASUS ROG STRIX B850-G GAMING and connect that directly to the optical input on my DAC.

I also keep the iGPU enabled in the BIOS, as TheWhale recommends in his guide. To be clear, I'm not using the iGPU for video output at all. I leave it enabled specifically so the additional audio controller remains available.

My thinking is that this lets the 9850X3D/platform handle the audio path the way it is intended to, and the sound on this setup has been excellent.

I do want to be fair here: I haven't yet done a proper A/B test with the iGPU/audio controller disabled, so I'm not claiming I've scientifically proven that this is the reason the audio sounds better. It's simply how I currently have the system configured, and it works extremely well for me.

For the BIOS setup I mostly followed TheWhale's guide:

https://youtu.be/yZfbjQkPCx4?is=EY96KduAER--7m8h

For Windows I used FR33THY's optimization pack to configure Windows Server, and I use the latest Windows 10 Pro for Warzone.

LatencyMon results are extremely low on this system and it has also been stable. From my experience, the idea that LatencyMon somehow only "plays fair" with Intel definitely doesn't match what I'm seeing. The 9850X3D performs extremely well there.

I also have SMT disabled.

For interrupts, I check every relevant device shown in Melody's Interrupt Assignment Checker and assign the devices across different physical cores using GoInterruptPolicy, rather than letting everything pile onto the same cores.

I'm also using Calypto's power plan.

Obviously there is a lot of tweaking involved here, so I'm not saying everyone needs to copy every single setting. But as a complete setup, this is easily the smoothest gaming system I've personally used.

So yeah, if you're still on Intel, my first move would actually be to look at the AMD platform before spending more money swapping monitors.

Going from my 13900KS + RTX 5090 system to this 9850X3D + RTX 5070 setup gave me the biggest improvement in perceived smoothness — and, surprisingly, sound — that I've experienced from an upgrade.

My monitor history, for reference:

Now:

XG27AQNGV

Past, in chronological order:

Iiyama Vision Master Pro 512 CRT → Iiyama Vision Master Pro 451 CRT → XL2586X 540Hz → PG248QP → 271QRX → VG259QM with the Qisda panel → PG27AQN → XL2566K → XL2411P

BlueChip Revive Tip

I don't know if this has been posted here before, but I tried to look it up and couldn't find any relevant posts. In game, I have come across hundreds of players since April who are obstinately skeptical and absolutely refuse to exercise any due diligence when I give them sources to check up on this, but maybe putting it here will reach some players. Okay, here goes:

As of Update 41.1(Apr 8- PC, Apr 16- Console), taking an enemy's chip to the Blue Chip Tower and using them to call a care package does not destroy the chip. Their surviving teammates are able to travel to that tower and revive them. For example, if I kill 2 of 4 members of [FAFO] clan in Rozhok and use their chips to call in a care package, the chips remain in the Tower. The other two teammates who, let's just say, hypothetically landed away from them in Severny, get a vehicle and travel to the Rozhok Blue Chip Tower, they can approach that tower and revive their teammates without the chips in tow because the chips are still located in the Tower itself. The only way to permanently destroy a chip is to put it in the trunk of a vehicle and then blow that vehicle up.

Question about glasya collecting

I just got her after 11 crates open and went to collect her. If i collect her lvl1 will i be able to upgrade her when i get other materials or do i need to get materials for all 7 levels first? Asking this because i already lost a nice outfit when i regular crafted some parts of the outfit and the other parts discarded.

Struggling as a new player.. who to watch, how to improve?

Getting slammed by level 500s every game in unranked. Everyone is landing faster than me so I’m dying off rip a-lot. What would be your best tips to improve and are there any active youtubers to watch?

Do you consider PUBG a dead game ?

Sure it have many players in steam but I hardly find anyone playing it around me, I don't really see much posts about this game in any social media and don't find my freinds playing it. Is this game really dead or not ?

Unusual performance issues around towns (and in general)

This game has the strangest performance I've honestly ever seen. I'll get 70-90fps when within or looking towards a town, and 160-250fps elsewhere. No exceptions.

No matter the resolution, render scaling, settings. I can have everything on very low, running at 720p in 70% render resolution, and I'll still get the exact same fps as 1440p ultra settings.

I can't locate the bottleneck. I'd guess cpu but it's never maxed out, my gpu is sitting at 40% when inside towns, and I never use more than half my ram.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

PUBG taking upto 175+ GB!!!

At first the game took about 60 gb when I first installed it 3 days ago. Now it's taking upto 175gb. Is this normal? I don't record any gameplay btw. But I do use DirectX 12, so maybe that is the reason? Due to DirectX 12's shader caching?

Driving an armored vehicle instead of a car?

Is it a good idea to drive a military armored vehicle such as an IFV, APC, APV or reconaissance vehicle instead of a car to avoid injury from accidents, as long as you have the appropriate license?

You need your vehicle to weigh more to absorb impact. A truck would work for this but they take up a lot of space and are hard to park. How do you get the weight advantage of a truck without the size? That's right, by driving an armored military vehicle. A truck is like a fatman, he weighs a lot but he takes up a lot of space because of the fat. So an armored vehicle is like a bodybuilder, weighs a lot but isn't as sizable because the weight is in muscles (armor), not fat. However, you do not have to go crazy and use a tank for that, as even in the base case scenario where it uses rubber tracks, fits the weight limits and does not cost a leg, the fuel consumption and the size will defeat the purpose. Thus a simple IFV, APC or an APV will do.

There are demilitarized IFVs such soviet BRDM2 and BTR80 sold at similar price points to cars. BTR80 weighs around 13 tons, which is essentially like an unloaded road truck but it doesn't take up nearly as much space. Should withstand most car crashes unless it's with a road truck. What do you guys think?

My friends are somehow more dangerous to me than the enemy team 💀

Was playing PUBG with the boys and this happened.

I genuinely don't know what was going through their heads during this entire sequence. 😂

The enemy didn't even need to do much — we basically eliminated ourselves.

This is why I love playing squads with friends. You can have a perfectly normal game and then, within 30 seconds, it turns into absolute cinema.

10/10 teamwork. Would queue again.

Actual meta rotation ideas

I think we can all agree the current implementation of the "meta rotation" is flawed. So, what could they do to make it better? (I'm already assuming they'll keep doing this instead of trying to balance all weapons)

imo:

Make them rotate every major update (month), not every FOUR MONTHS.

Make the guns more rewarding, not easier to use (the LMG recoil reduction is INSANE)

I also think it would be better to buff 1 weapon out of each class, instead of one class as a whole. The meta would get way too stale when its just LMGs, but if it was M249, AKM, UMP, M24, SLR; it would be more diverse.

What are some ideas you guys have?

Simple aesthetic change I'd like.

I'm probably not the first, but ima say it anyways.

It really irks me that the cargo door doesn't open on the plane and there's no animations for players jumping out of the plane, i mean seriously, so much realistic (silly skins aside) emphasis and they don't have this.

That is all, thanks.
