There’s no possible way this could go wrong.

Previously made a custom sissy bar + luggage rack for my Dyna since my aftermarket seat was too wide for the stock one. Went ahead and threw a pack out mount on the rack. Obviously not riding like this…

The fan is for added thrust!

New Van Buildout X-Trac and Packout

Got the van almost done!

Went with X-trac on the walls, Packout shelves for most of the mounting, and some E-trac mounts for the saw shelves. Still need to get everything loaded up.

We run a handyman company, so having organized storage for all the random screws, plumbing, and electrical bits is a must. Packout has been a game changer for that.

---- Edit ----

Adding a vid of the mounting, We skinned the van with plywood, had to add some blocking in spots to get the walls mostly plum. Then mounted x-trac to the plywood.

Rolling tool chest

Anyone have this box and how do you run it? Seems pretty nice and double stack is cool. Want this or the cabinet. Mostly just do the drawers and the regular single wide organizers. Have a dolly for regular and single wide stacks. Lmk if you think it’s worth it.

It all started with the Axe.

I always used to be pretty frugal with my tool purchases but in the last three years life has gotten better and I can now afford to splurge a bit.
Well last year I needed a splitting axe for camping I forgot mine at home bought my Milwaukee axe at Rona for $50 and it was awesome and I love it, after that my Ryobi bit torque dies so I grab myself a stubby on sale.. two years later here we are 😂

Don’t mind my three china tools they work phenomenally and live lives too risky to spend the big bucks yet.

multi drawer to single drawer

has anyone cut out the insides from a multi drawer unit and made a single drawer unit out of it. i would love a single drawer for my circular saw but the wheeled single drawer is crazy money . a normal 2 drawer is half the money . if i cut out the bottom of the top drawer and put a light ply sides and back screw to the remainder of the drawer it should work.

anyone tried it before i start cutting and discover some issue i didnt realise

Went to visit a different branch of my company, they had a wall full of surplus packout stuffed into a corner. Bossman told me to take what I need and they'll figure out the price later

An Offer I couldn't Refuse

Was taking up space in the shop, and not being used anymore... Was told to take it if I wanted it... Didn't need to be told twice...

PACKOUT Sales Seem Way Up

Just from what I've seen at my local HD, the mini-BMSM seems to be driving pent-up sales.

I've seen people checking out with decent stacks - at least $500 worth - almost every time I'm in, 90% of them with the Rolling Drawer Box on the bottom but a few classic three lidded box stacks as well.

I've seen a few DoorDash drivers checking out with them as well, indicating "same day / within a few hours" delivery customers from the web site.

I associate it with the new promo because I hadn't really seen people buying any boxes - PACKOUT, MAKTRAK or others - since mid-January, but now it's a big thing again judging by how often I see large empty holes on the PACKOUT wall and not so much with the other systems.

Packout Vacuum Mini-Stack, Compact Dolly Tutorial

Inspired by /u/Jriddim and his Packout Vacuum + Debris Separator setup, I decided to put together a mini-stack of my own.

The only change I made was to simplify the half-dolly. I believe he used casters that attach with four screws and had to cut a wooden spacer. I don’t want any wood on my stack as my vacuum will get extremely dirty and need washing pretty often.

I opted to cannibalize a 20 plus year old Craftsman creeper’s casters for my mini-stack and forgo making a spacer at all.

These stem casters use a female cap (Connector Cap) and are perfect for a low profile installation. I purchased a few of the OG Compact Packout Wall Plates from Napa (48-22-8486) https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/MIL48228486 and for the Compact Dolly, I hogged out the holes with a 3/8” drill bit and my die grinder with a burr bit to fit the hex head “cap” snugly.

3 washers stacked on the stem compensated for the thickness difference between the compact wall plate being thinner than the frame of the old creeper, and also allowed me to easily grab the flats of the stem caster itself with a crescent wrench. A little thread locker on the rusty stem, a little Red N Tacky grease on the ancient ball bearings. And she rolls smooth!

First job cleanup was a breeze. Loving the Proper Tool Company charger mount.
