Packout toolbox mount for rolling drawer

I was so excited to get my socket set inserts and mount them to the side of my rolling drawer. But it rubs on the wheels…
I don’t have a packout stack with rails to put on them and my current set up is vacuum, ammo box and structured toolbag…

Off-label use case, looking for a nontraditional attachment

I use a Packout system to haul all of the camera + power gear I need to stream my sons’ baseball games. It’s a pretty advanced setup as these things go, with multiple cameras, tripods, routers, and a Starlink system to provide the internet access. It can all fit in the attached, along with my cooler I bring.

My issue is that one of tripods I use is pretty heavy-duty, and although I did find a third party tripod holder on Etsy that can fit another tripod I have, it won’t fit this one (and it needs to be this one, to deal with heavy winds that I sometimes run into). I can still attach it to my stack if I use a couple of bungee cords and thread those through the rolling box handle, but the tripod needs to be flat against the handle for that to work well.

My issue is that the stack gives me an uneven surface at the top level, due to the cooler. Moreover, if I just bring another small toolbox to even it out, it’s now taller than the handle, so I can’t brace the tripod against the handle.

What I want is a way to mount the cooler facing perpendicular to how it defaults. That way, I could snap it in that direction at the front of the stack, leaving enough room next to the handle to put the tripod. Is there an attachment you know of that allows me to rotate the alignment by 90 degrees?

Wobbly handle...?

I have the drawer style pull out bottom base, is everyone's handle feel loose? Mine feels wobbly and not all that solid and strong? Is this how they all are? Because I checked other ones at the store to know which one to buy, but they all had that slack or play, I ask because I question how long this is gonna last....? Any tricks or tips??

First Packout

Unless you count Shockwave kits, this is officially my first Packout!

Picked it specifically to fit my m12 brushed 3/8in ratchet, and the m12 gen3 also fitting is just a cherry on top.

I only keep kreg screws with my automotive tools because I use the gen3 for automotive + woodworking but like having fasteners nearby to the tool that uses them.

Gonna pick up the metric 1/4” & 3/8” drive socket inserts for the slim Packout in a few weeks but I’m “getting by just fine” with my Stanley CRV impact set for now 🙄

Still working on a way to store the 24” Breaker Bar, Torque Wrench, 18” and 24” Pry Bars but they’re okay loose in the truck for now.

Contents:

Power:
M12 3/8” brushed Ratchet
M12 gen3 1/4” hex Impact Driver

Safety:
Mechanix Impact Gloves
Basic Safety Glasses w neck strap
Extra P100 Filters

Tear-down:
Maximum 8” & 12” Pry Bars
Mastercraft Hi-Vis Pliers & Cutters
Fiskars Snap-blade Box Cutter
Misc Picks & Punches

Layout/measuring:
Milwaukee Wide Blade Tape
Milwaukee 7” Rafter Square
Milwaukee Inkzall

Fastening:
Milwaukee stubby 8-in-1 ratcheting Screwdriver
Milwaukee Shockwave 27 piece Bit Set plus an extra rail each of Torx and Allen bits
Milwaukee Shockwave impact Socket adapters — 1/4”, 3/8” & 1/2”
Kreg 1-1/2” indoor & outdoor Screws

Edit:
Because of the sheer influx of threats being made to my health and safety over the past 20 hours, I have immediately added the following:

Flush Cutters; Punch and Chisel Set; Metric Allen Keys

Milwaukee Packout Structured Tote

Hey guys I’m a 3rd year Sparky apprentice, just picked up the 15 inch structured tote and looking for inspiration on how to run it. I kinda regret not getting the 10 inch one instead. If anyone has any photos on how they’re utilising either the 10 inch or 15 inch bags I’d love some inspiration!

New packout compatible tools from pipeline today

I am excited about 2.0 hand truck,4 gallon packout vacuum with external dust bin.

Cooler is a disappointment with only 30qt capacity.

I own the large xl coffin type and probably wont buy the smaller split lid.

Jobsite lunch warmer and new wrench and socket drawer organizers dont fit my needs.

Unrelated I will use the 15 AHR battery in my vacuums.

No m12 surge😮

Dewalt in packout

All of my powertools are currently Dewalt, but when it came to buying organisers I went with packout because at the time they were simply better than the other options my local store had.

Now I've got a new job where I need an organiser for my tools as well, so my 2 questions are, does the M18 battery holder accessory also fit Dewalt batteries (just hold not charge), and does the tool holder accessory also fit typical Dewalt skins?

Backseat packout

Finally got around to rigging something up in the backseat of my 2010 F-150 that is a bit more easily accessible than what I had going on before. Didnt really want to go through all the trouble of a full on backseat delete and having to store my seats somewhere. Its a pretty primitive set up but it gets the job done!

Milwaukee PACKOUT Tool Box Belt Clip Rack Attachment Mod

Been looking for a decent dual battery charger attachment. Wasn't really seeing what I wanted so repurposed their Belt Clip attachment so I can have easy on and off of my chargers...and all it took was drilling 2 holes, 2 bolts w/ wing nuts, 2 wood screws, 2 peices of 1" wooden dowel, and 2 heavy duty felt pad stickies. Turned out even better than I had envisioned.

Compact Crate

First impression;

It's a good concept. But the sides seem like bulky wasting a lot of space. Making the compartment smaller than needed.

What are your thoughts?

How do/would you use it?
