Doctors Surgery

Hi all,

First time poster here! I'm just looking for a new doctors surgery as I haven't had luck with my current practice at king Street for sometime, they seem to be chronically short staffed and lacking any appointments. Does anyone recommend a surgery close by the town centre?

Thanks v much

Puppy socialisation classes

I’m bringing a new puppy home in a few weeks and want to take him to some puppy socialisation classes, but unfortunately the vets I’ve decided to go with don’t run any. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Anyone know a local electrician that will PAT test a single item and an extension cable?

Got a daft wee light box thing for our wedding but the venue says all appliances need PAT tested..!

Munros

Edit: The restaurant in Paisley, not mountains.

I've recommended Munros to people on here and in real life but I wanted to highlight it to those who haven't been.

I've been twice now. The first time I went, I had steak pie and yesterday I had the roast beef.

The steak pie has been declared the best steak pie that me and my husband have had (he had it yesterday) and the roast beef was just incredible. All the starters we had were equally delicious.

If you're ever in the need for a hearty meal then please go there.

I don't work there, I just want to see the place continue to succeed.

Found cat near Brediland Rd/Lochaline Ave - anyone recognise her?

This very friendly cat has been hanging around our garden since last week, but the last couple of nights has been desperate to come inside. Have posted on all the usual other places with no luck, so trying here too.

Moving to Paisley! How do I make friends?

I'm 18M, into anime (Code Geass and a bunch of slice of life like Spy x family) and games (Deadlock, Paradox Interactive games etc). I'm moving up to Paisley from Glasgow and I'm curious about how to make friends in the area.

I know of the few board games groups down in Glasgow (Roll with it etc).

My DMs are open for anyone if they wanna chat!

Monstrous hedge - gardener required

Hi folks,

Just looking to see if anyone can recommend a gardener for dealing with what can only be described as a monster hedge?

Ideally they would also remove the garden waste, my brown bin can only fit about a third of the cuttings anytime I’ve done it myself but hoping a professional can sort it to make it more manageable in the long run.

An affordable person would be great too.

Thanks in advance!

Any good garages in Paisley that can do a good job and not rip you off?

I have an old Toyota, which needs its rear axle replaced, but Halfords is quoting £1500, which is so ridiculous. I tried another garage, but they refused to do the required job.

Anyone who plays tennis?

Hey, I was wondering if anyone plays tennis. I am looking to go out and play with others who do this sport, I yet have to buy a racket but it would be nice if anyone who is quite good at this can teach me and play alongside me :)

let me know :)

Giving away my old graphics card, if anyone wants it.

My old GPU, a GTX1660ti has been sitting in my cupboard for a couple of years. If anyone wants it they can have it. I've checked that it still works. It's should still be fine for 1080p gaming.

Just how bad are these roadworks? While I've been getting the train or bus in to work mostly, I drove this morning. Even before 8am it took nearly ten minutes to travel through these roadworks and there's very little sign of anything changing in the last 4wk. My wife said that she's seen two accidents in the queue to the cones as people shunt.

While I can see that it's the cattle-grid drain cover that's the problem, why is it taking so long to do anything? Why do they not split off the traffic into two lanes, the left going to St James roundabout and the right onto the viaduct? Even if there's a 30mph limit that would seem to give a better flow.

Who would I call to complain about these?
